BEFORE

Long anticipated fight between two strong lightweight. Menard with an impressive winning streak -French girl still unbeaten even after the dangerous fights with Maffia and Huffmann- but Tiana eager to stop her nice story here. "Last year has been a strange year for me -lots of ups and downs, but I have tweaked my skills now and I am ready to become a serious contender at BBU!" says Tiana, obviously confident of her chances against the French pageant. "I'm not impressed by Tiana -not a bit. She's slow, she doesn't have a great record, and overall I will have no troubles in disposing her!" an equally confident Malika replies, looking at Tiana with a superior attitude. Rumors are that Menard's camp decided to postpone the bout some weeks, after Sophie's Marceau resignation. "Sophie's forfeit put Malika's schedule and training routine into some kind of jeopardy -one insider would tell us- so we had to adjust, and it took time. Menard is not the easiest fighter to work with, you know that!" Black bikini for Menard, red one-piece suit for Benjamin -both girls look stunning in their outfits!

Round 1

Menard the taller girl here, but she's using her feet in the first minute, putting some distance between her and Tiana, testing her with the jab that caused so many troubles to other fighters. Tiana patient, waits for Malika to get closer and then hits her right away! Menard's tagged hard on her temples, she resort to a high guard but this allows Benjamin to get closer, and on comes Tiana! British girls unleashing on Malika's nicely shaped torso, left/right side, hurting her belly with those strong punches. Menard backpedalling, occasionally firing her right to keep Benjamin away, but she's under siege. Benjoamin finally pushes Menard to the ropes, getting more work on her torso and then unleashing an uppercut to the chest! Menard stunned, eats two rights on the face before covering again. Bell saves the French girls here -Benjamin looks in control.

Round 2

Menard's long legs clearly slowed down by the previous round -she is circling around slowly, with Tiana almost taunting her. Midway through the round -Menard fires her right, Benjamin ducks it and then goes for a seething right uppercut! Menard shocked, petrified AND HERE COMES TIANA's LEFT HOOK! French legs giving up, Malika falls on her knees, sobbing in stupor as Tiana dances around her, happy to see her powerful punches finally having an effect. Menard gets up at 8, weeping, shaken, but not done. Burning feeling of a defeat coming closer pushes Malika , giving her the opportunity to hit Tiana out of rage, but still not enough to make her taking control of the fight. Benjamin decided to let the time pass, making Menard lose some energy in an improbable chase. Another big round for Tiana Benjamin, with a very important knockdown.

Round 3

Menard is used to chase, but she seems to be not as effective as in the previous bouts. Tiana puts pressure on Malika early, dictating the pace, with the confused Frenchwoman that lets her foe in charge, taking some time to grasp fresh air. Still, Tiana shifts gears quickly, going to full speed to deliver some good punches to Malika's torso again. And another uppercut on Malika's breast here lets the Frenchwoman scream in disbelief. Finally, Malika clings, buys some time, manages to stop Tiana's assault. Last minute -Malika a little better, right hand that finally finds some target on Tiana's body and face, but it's again not enough to win the round. Tiana's lead extends, Malika's frustration grows.

Round 4

Menard's legs seem shot now! French Champion out very slowly, crowd giving its encouragement to Tiana, who's now storming out of her corner looking for the KO. Menard trying to fight her way out of Tinaa's attack, but he British girl uses her body to push Malika, shoulders forcing the Frenchwoman to retreat, and finally Malika is at the ropes again. Tiana works nicely on the torso there, waiting for the opening in Malika's guard. Malika finally dropping it a little, Tiana now goes for a right hook but MALIKA BLOCKS IT AND ANSWERS WITH HER HOOK! Tiana hit, paralyzed for a second, enough to give Malika the opportunity to follow with a left/right combo to the head AND TIANA FALLS DOWN! Benjamin momentarily on all fours, for a split second she doesn't know what happed to her! Menard breathing hard, but looking at her foe from above, shouting "Get up, loser!" Tiana up at seven, and the two girls decided that they had enough for the round -they just wait for the bell, drawing some boos from the crowd. Finally, Malika decided to answer to Tiana's assault, but will it be enough to put her back on track?

Round 5

Benjamin a feels the knockdown more than anticipated -she's slower on her feet, circling Malika but not stepping on the inside as in the previous rounds. Malika getting more confidence here -she is tired but she sees possible openings in Tiana's guard. Menard doing a little dance here, steps in, hits Tiana with her right, then retreats, avoiding retaliation from the British actress. Malika puts pressure mid-ring, Tiana still on the defensive, crowd not happy. Finally Benjamin steps inside again, swinging her right but Menard ducks it and answer with the right uppercut! Tiana gets hit hard, hands down for a moment and Menard sees another opening here! Right/left/right right in Tiana's face AND TIANA GOES DOWN AGAIN! Benjamin on all fours, shocked now -Menard is surely back on track with this second knockdown. Malika all smiles as Tiana gets up at eight, but she gets surprised in turn when Tiana starts to punch back! British girl just pouring out of rage -Menard blocking, but stepping back, unable to answer to Benjamin's fire here. Final minute -Menard pressed to the ropes, Benjamin pummeling her breast. Nice reaction from Tiana after the second knockdown, but Malika has taken the lead.

Round 6

Benjamin out quick, she wants to follow up from the nice last minute of the last round. Menard seems fresher, moves her body a lot to avoid Tiana's punches, but gets also tagged occasionally. Still, Menard's right gives some problem to Tiana, and the British actress gets hit at her torso. Menard now gets closer, Benjamin tries to hit her with the right but she misses and MALIKA SEES HER TARGET! Left hook to the head, timely followed by the right uppercut AND TIANA GETS DOWN! Sobbing Tiana rolls on her back, gloves on her face as she simply can't rise up anymore! Oh Lord, it's another victory for Malika -she stopped the proud Tiana Benjamin with a KO in round 6.

AFTER

Big celebration for Malika here-another big name of the BBU league handled for the very confident French fighter. Tiana was fantastic in the first rounds, she put a lot of pressure on Malika, but Menard is capable of superb acceleration when she sees the opportunity. "I told you I was going to beat her -she was average actually. Not that the girl can't punch, she simply can't compete with me -La Reine Malika! Now, I have a fight with Bar Refaeli -blonde girl is so stupid she thinks she can beat me- but then I want a title shot! Come on girls, what are you waiting for? I'm 8-0, is there anyone with a better record at BBU?" Menard will probably need to jump through some more hops first, but she has a point here. But given her willing to fight and her confidence, she probably won't refuse some ‘stay-busy' fights in the meanwhile. Bar Refaeli permitting.
