Flyweight Title Qualifier

BEFORE: It's a big match between young stars in Lookout! Boxing's Ashley Tisdale and Tech Unlimited's Emma Watson for a shot at flyweight glory in the form of a title match with Natalie Portman. Both fighters coming off of wins in the previous PPV - for Ashley Tisdale, against Ashley Scagliotti and for Emma Watson, against Sarah Michelle Gellar. The attendance and buzz for this Celebrity Boxing After Dark is immense, as are the stakes. Both fighters appear prepared and ready tonight, knowing all that's on the line. Given the nature of this match, neither fighter is complimentary before the contest towards their opponent.

“You know Emma Watson plays a snooty know-it-all in the movies, but the more I get to know her, I'm finding it might not be just a character. Emma found me about a week ago, told me that she could take me apart in the ring and that stepping aside to give her the title shot would be my best move. You're going to see my answer tonight! Round after round, as long as she lasts, she's going to learn she better study harder before she can pick apart my game!” Ashley Tisdale says confidently, “And from there, it's on to nasty Natalie Portman and the title!”

“It is true that I found out a week ago about Tisdale –I mean, I already knew her as a boxer, but I had no idea what type of celebrity business she was in. Then I saw Virginie challenged her, and I told myself –why not trying Tisdale next? So I called her, and –oh wait, did I tell you the story about her name? Ashley? For a moment I thought it was a joke –seriously, a lad name? It took me a while to remember how weird these American people are. Anyhow, I called her and here we are, fighting for the title. This is exactly the reason why I was called at TU: I can get these types of fights, while Virginie can’t get them anymore.” Emma replies, clearly driven. “And then, after Ashley there will be Nat. I don’t like her –everybody saw how she left TU overnight only for a little extra cash- and so it will be a great pleasure for me to knock her out in a title fight!”

Both fighters stepping in too close to each other before the match, the ref forced to separate them both as they get into one another's space, the two of them engaging in confident trash-talk remarks pre-fight.

Tisdale is wearing a white sports top and matching bikini bottoms, blonde tresses framing her face, blonde hair in tight ponytail. Emma in grey sports top with pink trims and and matching bikini bottoms, short hair.

R1: The action for both girls starts off fast and quick, but in this round, Tisdale is just a little bit quicker. Watson gets in a few shots herself, but it's Tisdale who is constantly moving. Circling her opponent each time she tries to maneuver away to reset her guard, Tisdale delivers a combination of stiff jabs to Watson's body to take the round on points as she keeps her trapped in the middle of the ring.

R2: It's another uptempo round for Tisdale as she circles around her opponent, just delivering repeated stiff jabs and hooks towards Watson's body. Pecking away at Emma's guard, ocassionally spanking leather off of Watson's face but Emma remains relatively unhurt through the round. Emma is bullied about, but keeps firing back at Tisdale. Watson unable to make any headway and Tisdale takes the round again on clear points.

R3: Tisdale has established the tone and terms of the match so far, then moves in swiftly at the start of this round. Tisdale is done dancing around her opponent. Sending a few jabs up towards her face and chest to open up Emma's guard higher on her body, Ashley then moves in to go to town on Emma's ribs. Emma doubles over, gasping in pain as Ashley's eyes light up, bullying her back to the corner. The two of them meet eyes at the end of the match, but although she's been hit hard this round, Emma doesn't have any quit in her eyes yet and Tisdale has only bad intentions reflective in her eyes. Emma's corner giving her a talking to in the corner after losing the first three rounds to Tisdale.

R4: Watson fights back this round as perhaps whatever her trainers said to her in the corner was effective or perhaps Tisdale just needs to catch her wind after the steady pace she established in the first three rounds. Emma goes after Ashley's body, working behind a stiff, workmanlike jab that keeps Ashley retreating for most of the round. Working hard to make sure she lets Ashley know she isn't going to back down yet, not with a potential title shot on the line and adds an extra shot to her body for insurance right at the bell, drawing an angry shout from Tisdale.

R5: The two of them meet mid-ring, exchanging hard blows. The two of them go after each other, trying to work inside the guard of the other, sending sharp jabs and hooks to drive each of them back at various points in the round. However, it's Emma following up on her jab, continuing to work harder towards Ashley's ribs, even landing a brief combination to Tisdale's cleavage. Tisdale, for her part, continues to deliver hard, pounding shots to Emma's ribs to wear her down a bit. The two of them exchange glances and their eyes meet at the end of this round as there is no retreat in either of them. This round goes close to Emma with Watson gaining some momentum halfway through this contest.

R6: Tidale moves quickly to put any momentum that Emma had been building, Ashley going after Watson immediately from the start of this round to establish her own pace for this match. Both of them exchanging blows mid-ring. Once again, Emma keeps working on that jab, using some elusive footwork to try to keep Tisdale at bay but Ashley isn't having it, moving in quickly to hammer in quick hooks of her own to the body. The round goes to Ashley Tisdale, who is clearly ahead of points, but has yet to really hurt Emma.

Twitter has numerous comments from other FCBA fighters like Vanessa Hudgens, Heather Hemmens, Demi Lovato, Brenda Song and even Natalie Portman wondering whether she wants to hurt Emma or wants more to prove a point in response to Watson's trash-talking.

R7: Tisdale keeps up the same uptempo pace, circling around, displaying good footwork to manuever and encircle her opponent. Getting behind that jab over and over, occasionally breaking through to deliver a shot to Watson's face and once she's rattled, the floodgates open for Ashley to deliver raking hooks across her ribs and body repeatedly. Emma is buzzed, going wobbly-butt for a moment, legs struggling to support her but it's a struggle Watson wins, staying upright as Tisdale keeps delivering series of jabs and retaliating briefly with a combination of hooks towards Emma's chest at the bell. The round goes to Tisdale as Emma is dazed, stumbling to her corner as she wraps her arms around the ropes for support and Tisdale bounces back to her corner, upbeat.

R8: This round is all Tisdale as Emma staggers out, clearly hurt. Emma manages to stay plucky though, making sure she doesn't go down this round. Tisdale keeps up the steady and swift pace she's established, pushing Watson back towards the corner and working in close, delivering hard jabs inside. Emma is simply outworked this round by Tisdale as Ashley rolls up on her, pounding on her ribs and sending hard, clean shots towards her face to make her go earmuff, slumping down in the corner but not going down. Tisdale takes this round again on clear points.

R9: Tisdale's eyes narrow in determination as they both move out of their corners, eager to move in and finish off Watson. Watson, however, isn't quite ready yet. Tisdale moves in, eager to establish rolling up on Watson again this round, but finds more Emma than expected. Emma moves inside, displaying some cagey skills in this round as she weaves in to attack Tisdale to the body. Tisdale still pounding away with some steady hooks but Emma outworks her for points in this penultimate round. An impressive display from Watson after the beating she'd received in the previous round.

R10: Both girls come out fired-up. Tisdale is clearly ahead on points, but Emma looking to follow up after last round to hope she can steal it late. Emma comes out very aggressive and both girls show a constant pace, but Tisdale is the busier one this round. Determined to close it out, Tisdale delivers short little uppercuts and jabs to the body. Both of them bumping and pursuing each other around the ring, with little exchanges back and forth with hard hooks between them. Towards the close of the round, it's Tisdale though, delivering shots again to her British rival's abs and ribs to bully her back. For every shot that Emma lands, Tisdale lands two and it's this steady outworking down the stretch that awards her the round. It's also enough to award her the match via a UD10!

AFTER: Both girls fought hard in a spirited contest, but Ashley established the pace early and kept through it to outwork Emma the majority of the rounds to take the match and the title shot away from Watson for the time being. Both girls exchanging hugs and whispers towards one another mid-ring. The two of them polite, but it's just barely.

“It was difficult, I knew it” Emma says, a little discouraged after the fight “Ashley was a huge step up for me, but I really thought I would have done better than that. Tisdale won this one, true, but it’s not over yet between the two of us –I will beat her in the future, and I will surpass her. It’s only a matter of time!”

Ashley is smiling, being hugged and congratulated by various members of her stable after this big win for her, with hopefully a bigger win yet to come. “Emma is good, don't get me wrong. Little Ms. Brit hopefully just learned that she doesn't know-it-all just yet and if she still thinks she does, I'll be more than happy to take her down. again”, Ashley snarks, with an eager grin.

“But, for now, I went right into the roadblock that HISC set up for me and went right through it. Natalie Portman is a great fighter, but it's time to put an end to this “Pax Portmanica” stuff. We've taken the belts from them before and we're going to do it again. It's time for me to put her down and bring that belt back to Lookout! where it belongs under the reign of Ashley Tisdale!”,pumping her glove into the air, “Now, we'll just see whether Portman is going to stick with it because I am at my peak right now and when I am, I can beat any girl in our division and that includes the champ!! Here I come!!!"
