Entering the ring first in tonight's event are local favorite Keisha Buchanan; the singer still looking for her maiden victory after three consecutive losses and PageThrees newcomer, Rhian Sugden, touted as the stable's primary blonde bantam, currently somewhat in the shadow of a dark-haired compatriot, Emma Glover. PageThrees send another blonde Sara Kavanagh couple of days earlier for the Bantamweight Invitational held in the KO Club and it was a painful experience for her, but some BBU insiders believe that was only a decoy and Sugden is the real threat.

There's a lot of buzz in the crowd, they expect the Lioness to demolish the glamour models from PageThrees, but it's Buchanan looking more nervous of the two before the opening bell, Sugden shadow-boxes intensively and strikes a confident pose, staring at her opponent with little sympathy. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Keisha circles around the blonde, jabbing cautiously from mid-range, Rhian hoovers around her too, throwing single jabs, grazing the singer in the arms. Couple of wild swing from both girls fail to connect and there's no early charge from either side. Keisha tries to close the distance but lacks a solid follow-up and lands more single jabs which cause no threat for the blonde model. Sugden with more hooks to the head, catches the leather a couple of times but Keisha responds with a crisp shot to the boobs and Rhian backs away. Crowd urges their girl to move forward and after a brief hesitance, she tries to back Rhian against the ropes, but the blonde easily sidesteps, throwing more single jabs to the midsection and face. None of them are of significant mention and the first round concludes with little fireworks to speak of.

Round 2:
Buchanan increases the aggressive approach, lands a couple of nasty jabs to her rival's oversized assets, but gets caught with a vicious lace in the cheek as Rhian swings from both sides and connects with one of her hooks. She tries to follow-up, leaping right in front of the briefly stunned singer, but Keisha manages to clinch as both girls wrestle towards the ropes. Ref tries to step in but Rhian lands a gutwrencher and literally sends Keisha to the corner where the singer stumbles to the side and luckily avoids a jabbing barrage coming her way. Sugden jumps lively after her, but lands only single jabs to the arms and chest as Buchanan backs away to the opposite side of the ring and escapes the punishment. Rhian desperately looks to inflict more damage, but misses several big shots as Keisha ducks and weaves away from them. Coach Samantha Fox is yelling from the PageThrees corner to prevent the blonde from getting carried away and Sugden reverts to single jabs, keeping the local girl at distance and maintaining the good impression she made this round until the bell.

Round 3:
Couple of quick leaps from Rhian who lands a series of jabs to Keisha's midsection early on and the local girl looks bleak already, too slow to both cover for those shots and find any response. Sugden bunny hops around her and lands more jabs to the chest and midsection, Buchanan tries to counter but crashes off the leather and cannot close the distance with a mis-timed jump. Rhian sidesteps away and lands a cross hook on the face around Keisha's gloves. Hardly the most vicioius shot you'll ever see, but Buchanan totally overlooked that and stumbles forward, allowing the blonde to pour in with a series of jabs to the exposed stomach. Loud moans of pain from Keisha as she wobbles heavily again, cannot find the clinch and goes down to her knees, unable to survive this onslaught!!! Crowd is silent as ref starts the count and Buchanan gets up at seven, looking fairly well, but her pride took quite a blow as well. Sugden charges after her immediately after the command and more wild slaps fly around Keisha's head, this time her guard works better as Rhian doesn't land more shots to the midsection, perhaps a rookie mistake after she exposed her rival going low earlier. More yells from coach Fox, but Sugden's in red mist mode, peppers Keisha's face, but cannot break the guard and allows the local girl to survive until the bell.

Round 4:
Heavy pep-talk from Fox during the interval, a more experienced fighter then Sugden would have probably finished Buchanan off in the third already but Rhian got carried away by her increasing advantage. Meanwhile it's equally heated atmosphere in the Lioness Corner with coach Gina Wild urging Keisha to come forward, she's allowed the blonde model to dictate the pace and that's not doing her any favors. Both girls open the fourth with a wild charge, perhaps more surprising from the Lioness POV, but Keisha lands a solid hook to the face early on, causing a small cut underneath Sugden's eye. Rhian barely notices that though and responds with intensive jabbing to the midsection and Keisha struggles to tame those efforts, gets laced under the elbow few times and aborts more attacks, jumps away and weaves around the blonde's repeated barrage. Sugden with single jabs to the breasts, Keisha tries to respond with a hook to the face, but gets countered with another right hook to the jugs and sinks on the ropes, gasping for air. Flurry of punches aimed at her head from the blonde! it's chaotic and far from any text-book stuff but Keisha's rooted to the spot and soaks all the punishment, her guard cracking heavily and one suspects she feels those shots even through her gloves. Sugden shows little signs of fatigue, clearly dominates the hapless opponent and inflicts a heavy bruising on Buchanan's face who leaps forward in a last-ditch effort and manages to clinch just as the blonde missed a hook to the face that only grazed off the ear. Keisha gets outmiscled in the melee though and shoved back against the ropes. LOOK OUT!!! Thunderclap right hook from Sugden goes straight between Buchanan's gloves and sends her crashing down face-first on the canvas!!! Lights out, Keisha!!! She's knocked out of her senses by that piledriver!!! KO R4 Rhian Sugden in impressive fashion!!!

Post-fight:
So much for the Lioness Club sweep. Rhian Sugden trounced Keisha Buchanan in devastating fashion, clearly overwhelming the local singer and pummelling her around the ring ever since the second round. And she didn't need much time to knock her out with one of the best single punches KO Club has ever seen. Sugden looks a real deal and defimitely a class above Sara Kavanagh.

Meanwhile it takes best part of two minutes to revive Keisha into her senses. Even the greatest sceptics didn't expect such an outcome for the brave singer. She was badly beaten up by Leilani Dowding in her previous bout, but this was even worse. Lioness Club executives made an error of judgement clearly underrating Sugden's skills and leaving Keisha as a walking prey for the blonde vulture!

Final result: Rhian Sugden def. Keisha Buchanan KO4.
