After Keisha Buchanan's loss to Rhian Sugden, Lioness Club is proud to introduce the recurring Zoe Salmon in the second fight of the Dog Day Afternoon event. Salmon who suffered a broken rib against Rachael Taylor last October is back healthy and ready to take on another PageThrees rookie, the dark-haired Holly Peers. After a thumping statement from Sugden, people inside KO Club in Barnet are wondering whether Peers can back that performance up against the long-absent Salmon.

Despite her miserable 0-3 record Zoe claims that the extended break following the fight with Taylor actually helped her to become a better fighter. "I needed that kind of wake-up call to be honest', she said before tonight's event "I reviewed all my mistakes and trained extremely hard in the gym so I could shrug off that push-over label a lot of people seemed happy to mark me with. Holly's a newcomer and it's about time I dish out a wake-up call to her tonight!"

Crowd's reception before the fight is somewhat muted, lots of people still relish that massive knockout for Rhian Sugden, but here come the girls, and it's a pattern developing for PageThrees already with Peers sporting a skimpy red bikini, her boobs just living their own life inside that outfit. Don't count the number of jaws dropped on the floor! The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Aggressive approach from Peers straight from the bell, she jabs the blonde in the stomach before firing a crisp uppercut to the jaw! Cocky stuff from the brunette but Zoe covers up for those efforts and responds with a series of jabs to the breats herself, keeps the ante and shoves her rival back to the ropes in an early test of strenght. Holly comes back, laces couple of wild swings, but misses as Zoe sidesteps and counters with a cross hook to the face. Peers gets caught and stumbles backwards, her guard with a major hole and Zoe leaps after her throwing more hooks to the head! Over-zealous from the blonde though as Peers covers up and clinches as Salmon couldn't land more shots. Lively start from both girls but a lenghty clinch follows, Holly tries to pull her rival to the ground, but gets laced with top of the glove in the head and winces. Ref steps in and gives Zoe a warning! Hardly a way to impress a rookie! Holly jumps to the ropes and avoids closing in before the bell, Salmon just stares at her, throws some fake punches, but also ceases the offense for the time being.

Round 2:
Both girls quickly leap from their stools and Holly's the first to land some shots, peppers the blonde's midsection and goes for another uppercut, but just like the opening round, Salmon's guard stays in tact and she counters with a jabbing sequence to the stomach herself. Brunette a little bit sluggish with her footworks, absorbs those shots and covers up, but gets rocked with a fine right hook to the cheek! Zoe follows up from the left, but misses albeit she's able to land some nasty jabs to the guts as Holly's footwork is below par in the opening minutes. Frantic screams from PageThrees corner, but Zoe keeps firing away at the brunette who wobbles heavily and gets thrown onto the ropes after another jab nailed her in the nose! Salmon's right after her and pummels the stunned brunette along the ropes! Strikes from both sides sink Peers on her knees, but there's not enough power behind those shots to send her down ans Zoe scoffs with anger and clinches, trying to push her rival against the corner post. After a brief struggle, Holly laces her in the stomach tough and escapes back to center of the ring. Zoe's visibly angry with letting her off the hook, but there's nothing she can do about it before the bell anymore.

Round 3:
Furious charge from Salmon, she senses that Peers has hardly threatened her so far and wants to take full advantage. Chaotic slaps from the blonde only graze the brunette though but Holly jumps to the ropes and begins to circle around, throwing single jabs and keeping distance. Salmon with more intensive jabs, fakes a couple of forward bites but retreats at the last moment landing single shots to the ribcage instead. More ducking and weaving from Peers as Salmon tries to set her up with single jabs from the left. Holly covers up well and ignores the teasing alltogether as Zoe finally squares up to her, but misses a straight-forward punch to the face and allows the brunette to clinch her. Zoe bends down and has her head pulled under the elbow and Holly whacks her in the back! Loud whistles in the audience now and ref separates the girls and gives the visitor a lecture. Zoe immediately tries to launch an attack after the command but catches the leather and Peers responds with a nasty right hook that nails the blonde in the mouth! Salmon jumps away before any follow up comes through and there's the bell just moments later.

Round 4:
Zoe keeps coming forward, lands a series of jabs to the stomach but Holly covers up for an uppercut follow-up and clinches as both girls struggle in center of the ring. Salmon manages to shove her rival away and Peers drops her arms in a brief lapse of focus. Zoe whacks her with a stiff jab in the nose and follows-up with crushing right hook to the ribs! Holly's clearly stunned by this double hit and wobbles back, almost losing her footing in the proccess! Salmon opens up from both flanks, lands several blows to the chest and body, throws an occassional hook to the face and pins the brunette along the ropes! Crowd gets up on their feet as the local blonde keeps pounding Peers whose guard is barely able to withstand the barrage! Holly tries to duck and weave, but then gets laced with a vicious shot to the guts that really sinks her on the ropes and Zoe just keeps rocking her from side to side! Cross-hooking combo finally opens up the brunette's guard and Salmon pours in with a vicious left hook to the nose. Holly can't take it anymore and crumbles on her side with blood pouring from her nose!!! Ref starts the count as Holly climbes to her knees, wiping blood from her nose. She looks more worried about the fact Salmon managed to draw blood rather then physically finished. That was a vicious series of unanswered shots from the blonde, but Holly beats thge count at eight and is allowed to continue despite her nose getting messed up. Ref sends her over to the medics where her nose is patched up and she's been given a lenghty breather! Lioness corner is furious, they think the fight should be stopped, but despite being on home turf, no one is gonna give them any unfair advantage. Despite her face showing some bruises, Peers is clearly able to continue, but for the nose wound. The round ends on a low note, only few seconds left on the clock after Holly returns from the break and Zoe's lost the momentum for good.

Round 5:
More work from PageThrees' cutmen on Holly's nose. Her face starts to swell as she really took few hard blows but the fighting spirit is still there in her eyes. Zoe looks to finish her off though, convinced of Peers being on the verge of crumbling down! Furious leap from the blonde and she immediately catches the brunette in the jaw with a fine uppercut! Holly's head snaps back and she wobbles when a series of jabs catch her in the breasts! Inredible venom from the blonde who lands more shots to the face and Peers just covers up, unable to find any response. Zoe back her against the ropes with another flurry of punches to the midsection and the brunette just looks to cover her face, taking a heavy beating in the stomach. Does Zoe want to break her ribs to avenge the loss to Rachael Taylor? Peers moans in pain with every shot landing on her ribcage and Salmon's ruthless in execution, keeps pounding the stricken rival until the aching brunette can't take it anymore. Couple of single hooks from the left finally take the legs away from Peers and she falls onto her knees, holding her stomach in visible pain, face bend across the canvas. Ref starts the count and Holly takes her time in getting up, clearly looking distraught by the blonde's onslaught! She finally gets up at seven with another loud moan and wants to continue, ref looks unimpressed, checks with her for the second time and finally gives his approval! Dubious call as Peers looks dead on her legs, her stomach now matching the bikini colour as it really took a heavy pasting in that previous one-way traffic punchfest. Less then minute left on the clock as Holly's barely able to move properly, Zoe immediately squares up to her, lands another low hook from the right, Holly lowers her guard and covers up, but then Salmon cross-hooks her to the breasts and signs off with a belter to the ribs just above the elbow! Peers bursts into spasms as she cannot take the pain anymore, leans on the ropes as gets embraced by the ref who jumps in to stop Salmon from an unneccesary wreckage!! TKO R5 Zoe Salmon!!!

Post-fight:
The blonde warrior overjoyed with her maiden triumph, the demons from the Taylor fight vanished! That's the biggest smile this arena has seen since Jeanette Biedermann knocked out Samia Ghadie last November! Zoe's on cloud nine and relishes on the crowd's reaction who wondered whether the Ulster girl can win a fight at all! Yes, she did it against a rookie and no tables have been turned for good because of that but she gets a big confidence boost and confidence was one thing definitely missing for Zoe after those three losses.

Meanwhile Holly Peers can't stop sobbing in her corner, she looks equally angry with herself as ashamed of the nature of defeat. It was a tough introduction for the brunette model, but she's shown a lot of courage and tried to hurt Salmon as much as she could before finally going down. Given her physical presence, one suspects she's gonna be a popular member of future BBU events, regardless of her record.
