TESS VALMORE

UNDERWOOD/ SCHERZINGER. Not much to say about this fight. The beer McCarthy was drinking lasted longer than this fight. What, about 90 seconds? An over hand right just about decapitated Underwood and she was counted out

HYLAND/ STEWART. This was Hyland’s maiden fight and I doubt she will ever forget her first round. I thought it wasn’t going to last much longer than the preceding fight, as Stewart decked Hyland twice in the first round. Hyland made a good recovery between rounds and came out to take the next two rounds and even up the fight on the cards. Stewart got the riot act read to her before the beginning of the fourth round. It was enough to get her back on track. Kristen won the fourth and fifth. In the sixth, a solid right hand put Hyland on her back again. She beat the count but another hard right and Hyland was helpless and the fight was stopped

PARK/ CUMMINGS. The best fight of the night. Cummings got off to a good start taking the first two rounds. Park came back to even up the fight at the end of four. Cummings decked Park in the fifth but the fight was virtually tied at the end of six. Cummings put Park on the canvas again in the eighth and took the ninth. Park needed a knockout to win. She rallied in the tenth, but couldn’t put Cummings away. Cummings walked away with the decision. Seems that in every PPV there is a big upset. This was the upset for this night. The Wiz put a good spin on the result, but personally, in a year where Front Street is evaluating, I think this loss definitely puts Park into the maybe class

MACK/ HEMMENS This was a one sided fight. Mack took every round going into the fifth. In the fifth, Allison came out of a crouch with a right uppercut that connected and Hemmens jaw, and the fight was over as Hemmens was counted out on her back.

SHAKIRA/ PINK This proved to be a much better match than I expected. I thought Pink would cruise in this bout. She didn’t. The fight was even at the end of four. It was still even at the end of six. Pink finally got a good lead by putting Shakira on the canvas in the seventh and winning the eighth, In the ninth, Pink finally showed what we were expecting. She battered Shakira into a helpless state and the fight was stopped

BUNDCHEN/ DECKER. I didn’t think that Bundchen had much chance against Decker and for once I was right. Bundchen won the first and sixth rounds. After round six, the fight got ugly and hard to watch. Decker floored Gisele in the seventh. The beating continued in the eighth. The fight should have been stopped in the ninth as Bundchen was no longer competitive. Bundchen would go down again in the tenth and once again the fight should have been stopped, but it was allowed to continue to the final bell. There was no doubt as to the winner was.
