BBU BOUT: ST DAVID'S DAY CARD

(BEEVER'S BABES VS FOXFIRE ATLANTIC)

These two girls have had a little spat on the messageboard leading up to the fight, which has added some spice to the confrontation, and both girls have predicted victory by knockout.

First out is Sylvie, and she’s in a gold bikini tonight, looking good, and looking ready, then, by no means overshadowed by the model, Alexandra makes her entrance, the singer looking great in a white bikini, glaring at the model.

Round 1

Sylvie’s made the quicker start to this fight, and she sneaks some lively punches into Alex’s face which seem to shock the singer, and she hits her to the body, too, Alex gradually coming up to speed as the round moves on, and she starts to use her height and reach better, and she’s looking better moving forwards. But Sylvie’s a busy little bee, and she clips Alex to the ribs again, and has the singer on the ropes as the round ends, trying hard to land her uppercuts.

Round 2

Now Alex is looking more mobile, having received a lecture on her stool, and she’s taking toll on Sylvie as she jabs and moves well, using her dancing skills, and those swift jabs of hers are bouncing off the model’s cheeks, the blonde blinking hard, her head being rocked backwards time and again. Alex hurts Sylvie with a tight, cuffing barrage to her face, and the girl looks like she might hit the floor, staying on her feet by holding and clinching, Alex unable to land any more decent punches.

Round 3

It’s more punishment for Sylvie, with Alex batting her face quickly in this round, and batting it hard, too, the Dutch girl staggered by a brutal right hook, which has her clinging on to the singer, trying to recover her senses. Alex reacts by pushing Sylvie backwards, then she lands another two right hooks, this time to the girl’s body, and she’s rocked by those, but is again able to clinch to survive, and then to hit Burke in the belly, which has the bigger girl gasping at the end of the round.

Round 4

Alex is still suffering from that bellyshot when the girls resume, and he then takes three more solid punches to her ribcage, and a right to the mouth before the midpoint of the round is reached. Then, with Sylvie trying her best to send Alex back to the ropes, the singer fights back, her straight punching again taking toll on the blonde, and she’s the one on the ropes for a while, but she’s content to clinch and hold, then to turn Alex around with nifty footwork, and clip her mouth a couple of times as the round closes.

Round 5

A rejuvenated Sylvie takes Alex on head to head, swapping punches with gusto, and she’s getting stuck into the bigger girl’s body, getting her guard to drop, and she closes in on her. Big mistake though, Sylvie! Alex Burke bangs a hard little salvo of punches into the model’s face at very short range, and there’s nothing the older girl can do to defend herself, gets a hard right jab in her mouth, a left hook in her cheek, and she drops to the canvas, falling forwards and looking fragile, regaining her feet at 7. Alex is going for a finish now, and she rips into Sylvie’s face with a good left hook, right hook combo, the bell saving the Dutch model from more punishment.

Round 6

Alex has lost a little momentum during the interval, and can’t quite get her radar this time, the smaller girl managing to spoil her attempts to swipe her with those rangy shots of hers, and she’s keeping her tied up, defending herself solidly, frustrating the singer. The end of the round is near before Alex manages to get any real leverage on a punch, and it’s a left hook to the ribs that has Sylvie looking troubled, wincing with pain, and leaving herself open to a two handed face attack in the closing seconds.

Round 7

Alex has Sylvie eating a lot of leather in the first few seconds, and the blonde’s face is very bruised now, her cheeks all scuffed up and sore as the singer punishes her with hard straight punching. Now Sylvia attacks the bigger girl, stands toe to toe, but just gets panned with a stinging right hook, but won’t go down – the model hangs onto Alex bravely, keeping her feet, even though she’s clearly dazed. In the final seconds the Dutch girl tries to come forwards again, but Burke is picking her off so easily now, her gloves just pounding the older girl’s battered face.

Round 8

The referee is looking hard at Sylvie now, her eyes caked in protective grease, but that soon flies off when Alex slams her face with a left hook, then a right hook, another right hook, and now back to the ropes goes Sylvie, clinching again when Alex gets up close enough. The referee parts the girls again, and now Burke has the space and range to flip a right hook into Sylvie’s face, and the blonde’s on her knees from that punch, her left eye closing. She gets to her feet, but although his count is only at 7, the referee halts the action.

Alexandra Burke stopped Sylvie van der Vaart in round 8.

That fight was interesting rather than exciting, and Sylvie is not really showing enough skill to represent a threat at the moment in BBU. For Alex – only time will tell if this will launch a decent run of results, or whether she’s just beaten a jobber.
