Before: Boxing After Dark Celebrity Division carries the rematch as its main even following bitter comments post fight from an angry Diane Lane and popular fan reaction to the spirited first contest. Notes one B.A.D. executive, “We’ve used Lane a lot on our show, but we’ve never showcased her. She’s got a real chance to shine here and let’s give credit to Ashley for taking this fight. She could have walked away with a win over Lane, but she’s got the guts to prove it wasn’t a fluke. we’re thinking this could be a sensational fight.” Lane with a shot at redemption--Judd with the opportunity o really put her foot on her rival’s throat with another win--girls resume their two piece jockey look for this one, small 2 oz gloves for both.

During R1: Lane gave away the first two rounds last time out--this time she practically catches Judd coming off her stool and almost jumps out of her red clad trunks to bomb away at he stunned blonde from the outset. Wide eyed, getting clipped, Jean leans back against the ropes and gets COCKED a vicious left hook on the chin--blonde is hurt, sagging forward, and lane drops the back foot REEFING two left hooks with spanking impacts to Ashley’s tummy, then turning her shoulder into a short right hand on the eye that pounds the blonde groggy not to mention opening an ugly gash on the left brow. Judd just holding on, guard loose at her lips and Lane bashing away--lefts to the body, rights to the face and JUDD GOES DOWN! A bewildered, cut blonde on her hands and knees, barely beats the count and staggers back to the ropes--Lane pouncing, digging into the blonde’s firm body with both hands, then looking for short right uppercuts to the face. Judd soaking it up hears the final bell but she is WRECKED! Ashley’s corner works feverishly to revive her as Lane trembles with excitement in hers.

R2: Judd still hurt, but clear eyed, hops around the perimeter of the ring as Lane stalks with bad intentions, Di getting picked up as the blonde just turns her shoulder into short left hands, then pivots away--Lane continues to walk her down, but midway through the round she is clipped with the left, powers and catches a mean right on the cheek that has the brunette stepping in fence post holes. Judd moves shoulder to shoulder to pile on the hurt to the belly, riding her left across Di’s upper back to hold the brunette for curling rights to the gut. Both girls looking a little suspect at the bell--a lot of energy getting spent in this one.

R3: Ashley luring Di forward, beating her to the jab, then picking the brunette up with cute left hooks to the eye, Judd pivoting to her left, has a sweet angle and she begins cranking hooks, turning Diane’s head, then diving in on the brunettes sternum with straight right hands. Lane going wobbly butt, beginning to break down, and Judd steps up the pace--spanking left/rights to the body, then a clubbing left hook on the jaw as Di stands up straight behind her guard but can’t pull the trigger. By the midway point, Lane is hurt, soaking up punches as Judd works--blonde’s eyes glittering as she pours it on--a withering series of determined lefts to the ear finally spill Lane to the ropes--hands at her stomach, mouth open. Judd running in with the right hand to the face drapes lane over the ropes, then blonde bodies up, just moving her hands, chugging away left and right up underneath to paddle the brunette’s stomach and jugs. Di bending forward--legs stiff, and she slides to the canvas as Judd keeps punching, stepping back as Di lies in a puddle on the mat. KO3 Ashley Judd as she shouts nonsensically at the slumbering figure at her feet.

After: Totally different fight--same result as Lane can’t go 10 against her blonde opposite. “That was so much sweeter than the first time,” coos Judd, her face raw and swollen, but happy in post fight, “She never really hurt me in the first fight, but I had to dig down deep to survive tonight. When she couldn’t stop me, I think she just quit, and when I started hurting her, she was just looking for an excuse to go out. So I gave it to her.” Demonstrative win for Judd leaves Lane shattered and sets Ashley up sweet. BAD very happy with things--they get headliner type numbers for a midcarder price, holy exploitation Batman!

(Simster note: This is a case where I don’t see any difference between the girls, and I don’t much care--so I’m happy to et the dice sort it out. 2 fights, 2 knockouts--Judd’s the better woman. In the future if they meet, AI might skew things slightly in terms of punching power or heart since it’s obvious Judd can give and take a little more. Skill wise, I’d still set it up even, with Lane possibly fading slightly after 8, but not so much that she can’t win. In facet, it’s a winnable match up for Diane, but when you go by what happened--Judd emerges as the perceived favourite.)
