March 2012 BBU Card Flyweight Undercard Bout

Virginie doesn’t see too impressed to find herself fighting the Girls Friday flyweight Emily and puts the younger actress down at every opportunity. “I only hope she doesn’t fight so poorly that it reflects on me,” is one such comment from the Tech Unlimited Europe veteran. Ms. Atack smolders with growing anger until one too many such insults leads the blonde British girl to slap the Frenchwoman across the face. Wonderful catfight follows, hair pulled, blouses ripped opened and skirts hitched up (revealing the interesting note that both ladies seem to favor gartered stockings and lacy panties). Not surprisingly, the two are glaring at each other all during fight night ring instructions and refuse to tap gloves.

R1: Emily wastes no time in pounding Virginie to the body, ramming leather into Ledoyen’s solar plexus bringing a shiver to French knees and thighs. Virginie caught by surprise, stumbles back with Emily in determined, though wild-swinging pursuit. Virginie able to duck or at least partially block the would-be haymakers, but not until late in the round can she really get some countering jabs going to knock back Atack chin and avoid a shutout round.

R2: Virginie seems determined to make Emily pay for making her look bad in the previous round and comes out head-hunting. Atack takes a heavy shelling and covers up to try to ride it out, but Virginie on her with a fury. Atack head hit over and over until EMILY IS ON HER KNEES! Virginie steps back with a smug look as Emily looks glassy-eyed and is slow to rise. Still, the Girl Friday blonde beats the count and recovers enough to force Virginie to eat jabs when she tries to finish her off. Virginie obliged to dance around the less experienced Brit and look for openings. Emily takes more hits but doggedly counters to bell. Still, it’s a solid Virginie Ledoyen round.

R3: Virginie seems confident she’s got the actress under control and moves in to start working the body to wear her down. Emily grimacing as her midsection and flanks come under shelling, but she keeps her head protected behind gloves and watches, licking out the jab to make Ledoyen pay for her repeated advances. Suddenly, Emily’s right shoots up into Ledoyen chin AND VIRGINIE LANDS ON HER BUTT! Beautiful right uppercut has lifted Virginie’s chin and dropped her. Look of bewilderment on Virginie’s face is priceless and Emily stands there pointing with a cruel laugh. Referee has to order British fighter to neutral corner and then starts count. Virginie on her feet, but looks shaken and is on defensive the rest of the round.

R4: Virginie tries to shake off the knockdown and regain control of the fight. Once again she resumes that body attack against Emily and the blonde looks increasingly pained. Virginie ups the pressure, hoping for Emily to drop her guard and allow a shot at her head. Emily grits mouthpiece, ducks down and NAILS VIRGINIE WITH ANOTHER UPPERCUT! Virginie’s chin takes it again and once more Ledoyen’s panties are on the canvas! Crowd roaring with excitement. Emily bouncing up down, again gives Ledoyen precious recovery seconds before going to neutral corner. Virginie back up, though on shaky legs, has to clinch and cover up to keep Emily at bay to the bell.

R5: Opening minutes are quite even. Virginie showing her basic toughness by shaking off knockdowns to go after Emily’s ribs and belly with pounding intensity. Emily shuddering at times, but never gives way despite the pressure. Late in the round, Emily suddenly makes a feint to her left, drawing Virginie and allowing British girl to swing in a right cross to Ledoyen jaw. LEDOYEN STAGGERS. Virginie again caught by surprise and this time Emily on her flailing away trying for a knock out. Punches are banging off Ledoyen skull and cheeks. Finally a simple straight right into the mouth and follow-up left to jaw and LEDOYEN ON HER KNEES! This time, Emily is prompt getting to neutral corner, but once again Virginie rises in time to beat count. Fight resumes and Virginie tries to get back in this round as Emily rushes in. Emily takes one full in the gut and doubles over. Virginie tries to follow up, but Emily desperately throws her arms around the Frenchwoman to force a break. Emily cautious after this and rest of the round is mainly warily defensive, but it’s another round for Emily Atack.

R6: Both fighters show signs of being hurt, Virginie’s chin and jaw look bruised and red splotches are covering Emily’s ribs and tummy. Still, the two go at it with a desperate fury, each trying to take the other out. BANG! Emily lands on Ledoyen’s jaw and DOWN GOES VIRGINIE! Virginie leaps to her feet loudly insisting it was a slip. Referee insists on mandatory 8. Battle quickly resumes and Virginie drives Emily back against the ropes. Virginie banging belly with all-out carpet bombing, Emily tries to clinch, but Virginie dances back and EMILY ON HER KNEES. Emily clutching her battered body and panting desperately. Forces her self to stand to beat count. Virginie drives back in and Emily forced against ropes. This time the British actress covers up well enough to survive, but Virginie finally wins another round, though narrowly.

R7: Emily makes a terrific second effort as comes out swinging for Virginie’s head. Virginie seems surprised yet again by the stubborn British girl takes a one-two that swivels her head. Virginie’s legs start to shake and Emily gets in another BANGING UPPERCUT TO THE CHIN. Virginie stumbles back into the ropes and slides down onto her butt. Emily watches hopefully from neutral corner, but dogged Frenchwoman pulls herself up using the ropes. Ref is studying her closely, but Virginie unleashes a multi-language rant to make clear she wants to go on. Emily actually looks discouraged as the fight resumes and gives on the defensive. Virginie seems to be fighting on sheer instinct and her instinct is to break the Brit to the body. She hammers Emily’s body and devotes the entire final minute to relentless attack on Emily’s black lace bra. Atack melons take a dreadful pounding, but every time Emily tries to guard them, Virginie goes after blonde’s chin. Emily not going down, but she is lumping up badly to face and body. Virginie looks tired and worn, too, but her eyes are still fierce and she glares at Emily as the blonde makes her way slowly back to her stool.

R8: Emily comes out looking exhausted. She’s clearly shot her bolt and has nothing left as the veteran Ledoyen closes in once again. Girls Friday blonde driven to the ropes and just worked over from waist to head. The shelling never seems to stop as a frenzied Virginie goes all-out to put down the British girl. Suddenly, Emily’s knees have failed and Emily’s face is sliding down Virginie’s sweaty front, Ledoyen steps back as Emily lurches forward and sprawls on her face, head turned to one side breathing heavily, eyes closed. Referee moves in as Virginie retreat and it is quickly over. Virginie Ledoyen wins a hard-fought slugfest KO8!
