(FOXFIRE ATLANTIC BOXING VS TECH UNLIMITED EUROPE)

BEFORE. Pippa finally getting some recognition after a surprising victory over Italian talent Elena Santarelli, but here she decides to risk big and jump to a lower weight division to fight the undefeated French Champion Malika Menard. "It's about time someone gets this annoying French girls in line -Pippa tells the British press in the prefight- and I am going to be the one. She is strong, but she's had problems with smaller girls before -I have studied her fights and I know what to do to beat her!" Malika shakes her head, then makes a gesture with her hands as to chase away a fly "This Philippa person, she's not very good, you know? A victory over an Italian fighter is never a good victory -they are weak, of course. She did not do much, and she will suffer my punches! This will be my tenth straight victory at BBU!" The bout takes place in Paris, with a huge participation from the crowd -all for Malika of course! Pippa enters the arena first, getting a few cheers only, but then things change. As lights dim, virtually disappear, music starts to blast from the speakers, and the French heroine enters the arena. Widespread cheers, of course, as from a predictable script here -enough to make Pippa fuming. Nice contrast of outfit too -all white for Pippa, all black for Malika, both girls with loose hair.

R1. Pippa could be the underdog here, but she does not show any reverence towards the undefeated French fighter. Pippa gets out quick, works Menard with her jab in the early minute, making her eat some leather, and then advances, getting physical despite of her shorter stature, pushing Malika towards the ropes, where both girls start to trade punches. Malika hammers Pippa's head, Pippa works on Malika's tummy and chest -none of them seems to get a significant advantage and so they separate. Pippa slows down in the last minute, allowing Menard to hit her from the medium-range with hooks to the body, and then with a crisp right cross on the face. Overall, Menards survives the initial assault from Pippa to even the round.

R2. Pippa exploits her quickness once again, starting the round with a fast jab action that causes some trouble to the taller girl. Malika forced to cover, but the French beauty seems sloppy now in her cover AND PIPPA SURPRISES MALIKA! A big right cross to the head, followed by a glorious left hook, make Malika stagger on her heels. French girl visibly confused as she tries to protect her face -mostly inefficiently as PIppa touches her once more. Malika almost on her knees, struggling to find her balance, with Pippa now pounding on her left flank with powerful rights and then Malika answers! Brittle, precise uppercut that crashes on Pippa's chin AND PIPPA IS DOWN! Middleton sinks on her knees for a moment, rising almost immediately, but that's enough to start a count from the ref. Menard lucky with the punch -Pippa resumes the assault to the head and body, leaving little to no initiative to Malika in this round. Menard overpowered and outclassed in this round -she basically got one punch and one knockdown. Menard's corner not happy with the French Champion's performance -they want more from her.

R3. Menard now more active, she wants to erase the previous two rounds from the card. And she's quite effective now -Pippa reached by Malika's hooks more than often, forced to play defensively the whole first minute. But again, Menard seems less active than in her previous bouts, and Pippa reverts to the attacking mode. Menard almost still, doing a good job in protecting her head but exposing herself to Pippa's punches to the body. Finally, Menard tries to fight back, but the attempt is not convincing -she hits a lot of air (or otherwise Pippa's defending mitts), and only scores points in a couple of occasions. Not the same for Pippa, as her steady action on Malika's body get the French girl clearly discouraged -Menard comes back to her corner in tears of frustration for the insolence of her Brit opponent!

R4. Menard just hanging in there -Pippa spirited, she soon gets the taller girl in full retreat with a combo to the head. Menard almost with her butt on the ropes, Pippa that unleashes her right cross… and she misses! Menard moves her head to her right as Pippa's punch arrives, and then counteracts with a right uppercut that finds Pippa's chin! Middleton stunned, hands momentarily down AND MENARD ANSWERS BACK! Malika hits Pippa with a left/left/right combo to the head, followed by a vicious left uppercut and right to the tummy and OH NO, PIPPA IS DOWN! Pippa immediately propelled backwards, landing on her back staying there for a second – and the ref starts counting! Pippa holds her aching belly, sobbing, breathing hard- and she won't get up. Ten counting is a mere formality -Malika Menard just stopped Pippa Middleton in round 4!

AFTER. Middleton did everything right in this bout -she put a lot of pressure on Menard, and almost shut her off in the four rounds. Unfortunately for her, almost is the right word. Menard surprised by Pippa's speed, even embarrassed at times, but she eventually managed to use her power to stop the proud Brit. "I don't think she was giving me any trouble -Malika will tell TV and press reps- I was simply waiting for her, knowing she would have made some mistake sooner or later. Come on, I sent her down twice, and she stayed there the second time -do you really think she could have had any chance against ‘La Grande Malika'?"
