The third debut appearance tonight comes courtesy of Marti's Maulers' Sara Cox; the 38 year old blonde will face the experienced Jaye Jacobs (Foxfire Atlantic Boxing), one of the most unheralded girls among welterweight elite. Cox is very focused ahead of her debut, enters the ring with a mean look towards her rival, but Jacobs has fought eight times in BBU already and has seen all the pre-fight mind games, so she doesn't seem bothered by the older girl's presence whatsoever. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Cautious start from Cox who bides her time along the ropes, Jacobs is all over her in a matter of seconds though, lashing out a ferocious barrage to the chest and stomach. Cox jumps to the side, barely avoids a huge left hook, but counters to the midsection herself. She catches the younger woman in the ribcage, skims off her gloves with a right cross and launches herself forward, throwing another hook from the left that only gets stopped by Jacobs' brow ridge! Cox in a completely different mood now, whacks a couple of big hooks to the ribs and has Jacobs covered in the middle of the ring. Massive blows from the rookie, but she can't direct her efforts well enough and catches Jaye's arms and gloves in the proccess. Turtle-like defence from the Foxfire girl, Cox just pummels her with no reply and finally backs against the ropes late in the round. Over there she works some single shots to the head and has Jacobs stunned at the bell.

Round 2:
Sara must enjoy this BBU thing, she leaps after Jaye moments into the second and wants to further stamp her authority. However Jacobs' experience prevents her from doing so, she roots the raging blonde to the spot with a big right hook and cracks her in the tummy with an immediate follow-up. Cox bends down and winces and Jaye unloads a ferocious uppercut that cuts through the blonde's mitts and nails her on the jaw. COX CRASHES DOWN ON THE CANVAS flat on her back!!! Huge punch from the 29 year old actress left the blonde seemingly counting the stars!! Ref starts the count as Cox desperately tries to get up on her feet. She helps herself with both arms and beats the count at seven, but still looks a bit groggy. Jaye laces her in the cheeks moments after the command, snaps the blonde's head back and continues to rain a flurry of punches all over the continuously stunned rival. Sara stumbles back, leans on the ropes and eats more leather as Jaye's visibly upset and shows little sympathy. More jabs on the eye, Sara's guard doesn't protect her whatsoever as Jacobs gives her a black eye with several unanswered punches. Cox weaves on her feet, tries to avoid the barrage but Jaye whacks her in the stomach; Sara winces in agony, looks to clinch her agressor, but Jaye whips more shots from the left, jugs, ribcage, jugs, ribcage. Cox bends to the left and leans against the corner post. Left hook above the mitts cleans the blonde's temple. COX DROPS ON HER KNEES trying to wrap her arm around the ropes as she was going down!!! Thirty seconds left on the clock and Cox looks battered to the extreme. Jaye taunts her to get up!!! Ref starts the count, but his voice is lost in the crowd's wild cheers! Sara is left sitting on the canvas and nope... she's had enough, her head slumps down on the shoulder and IT IS OVER!!! KO R2 Jaye Jacobs!!!

Post-fight:
There were little signs of this bout being a mismatch in the opening round. Cox stunned Jacobs with a solid charge and the younger woman had nothing to trouble the blonde rookie. But in the second round Cox's defence was badly exposed and Jacobs used her experience to pounce on her and produce a devastating finish. Cox has showed some promise but her punch resistance needs to be improved if she wants to win one of these fights sooner rather than later.
