Two powerful bantamweights line up against one another next, with Welsh model Imogen needing to recover from her defeat by Alesha Dixon, and French actress Clara also looking for a return to form, after her misjudged challenge to Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Imogen wears a lacy red bikini for the fight, with Clara choosing a pale blue one piece suit.

Round 1

Thomas comes out strong as she looks to dominate the older girl, and she is already starting to land her left glove pretty accurately on Clara’s face. The model’s controlling the first round nicely here, working hard, keeping up a good tempo and giving the French girl all she wants in terms of a test so far. The round really starts to go Imogen’s way when she pings a right hook into Clara’s cheek, but that seems to bring the actress to life, and she comes back at the Welsh girl in the closing stages of the round, hurts her with a good two fisted attack, and has her buckling a little when she cracks home a left to Thomas’s mouth.

Round 2

When the girls resume, we see a strong start for Thomas again, really keeping up the pressure on Morgane, who can’t come to terms with the model’s fast hands, the left jab already wearing her dowm, marking her up, and as the midpoint in the round passes, Imogen hurts Clara with a hard left into her body. Clara winces and cringes a little, and she’s open – Imogen takes toll and she floors the French beauty with a good left hook, which puts her on her butt for a count of 7. Although she gets up and tries to clear her head, Clara looks wobbly, and Imogen keeps the pressure on her throughout the round, getting through with enough punches to have the ref concerned, but he backs off, and that’s a huge round for Imogen.

Round 3

Clara needs a big effort, and she comes out and makes one, ramming right hand shots into Imogen’s face, and she makes the model back off for the first time in the fight. Imogen’s back on the ropes as the clock ticks on, and she finds Clara’s gloves spanking her face more than she would like, clinching and hugging to get out. The ref warns her, but she’s protecting herself, and although Clara’s landing punches throughout the whole three minutes, she seems to be slowing down as the round comes to a close, possibly punching herself out already?

Round 4

A slow moving Morgane is caught immediately by Thomas, and the Welsh girl is back in control, lays into Clara from the bell, and has her girl struggling with her back to the ropes. A brave Morgane fights back hard though, and she gives the model a rough patch in the middle of the round, slapping shots into her cheeks, only to slow again late on and ship punches, with Imogen back in control, and the bell rings with Clara just trying to cover her face with her gloves, almost allowing the model to do her to the body, and it’s a breathless French girl who slumps on her stool.

Round 5

Off they go again, and Imogen bats a virtually static Clara around the ring in the first minute, the actress offering very little in terms of aggression as her tormentor goes for the win already. But Clara isn’t done, and she turns on her power and midway through the round she’s punching Thomas back, and she almost drops her with a big right hook, Imogen clinching to recover and buy time, and it starts to pay dividends, as she lays on Clara who seems to be out of breath in the last minute of the round, handing Thomas total control, and Imogen looks so cocky when she’s on top, really leathering the French girl, who’s face is now looking grazed and bruised..

Round 6

Thomas comes out fast, and she catches Morgane with a lovely right hook to the jaw which has her staggering backwards. Morgane’s looking kind of groggy, and now the arrogant Thomas starts to showboat, shuffles and jabs, and she taunts Clara, inviting her to fight back. But the French girl’s got nothing in the tank, and in wades Imogen in nasty fashion, pushes and punches Clara to a neutral corner, then finishes her off with well-placed combos inside two minutes of the round.

Now that has to go down as a shock result, with the much vaunted French girl just not at the races tonight, and no-one can afford that against a puncher like Imogen Thomas, who now celebrates her victory, hauling the beaten Clara off her stool, she parades her around the ring in a slow, humiliating walk of shame, and she’s calling for Alesha Dixon to accept her challenge for a rematch – she did not like losing that’s for sure.
