Classic blonde vs brunette on hand in the lightweight division. Both women with a point to prove as Empire Boxing's Marisa Miller hasn't scored a win in eighteen months and was humiliated by KO1 defeat last time around at the hands of new modelling superstar Kate Upton. But instead of hiding away from the world, Miller storms back into the limelight and looks to convince everyone the Upton clash was just a one-off stumble. Her rival is the French Canadian Emmanuelle Vaugier who wants to kick-start her career after signing for the newly formed Odds & Ends Fight Studio back in April. Vaugier was absent from action for over a year and this stretch along with Miller's even longer one without victory makes it a dead heat in pre-fight bettings. The reward of getting the victory is high; but the loser faces grim prospects of falling out of favor with the lightweight elite.

Marisa Miller wearing a navy blue bikini and black gloves. Emmanuelle Vaugier wearing a silver bikini top, red leather mini-skirt and black gloves.

Vaugier steals the pre-fight introduction with her sizzling outfit, something that Miller just isn't used to especially given her impressive modelling background. She grits her teeth and keeps staring at the brunette with ice cold looks. One suspects she won't be messing around too much early with the French Canadian!

Round 1:
Miller on a rampage early, looks to dwarf the brunette as soon as possible, lashing out with a jabbing sequence to the midsection, followed by an uppercut to the chest. Big left hook swings around Vaugier's head and the brunette's on the run moments later. It's hard to predict what she expected on her comeback fight, but Miller hassles her immediately from the bell, jabs to the chest, swings again around the head. Vaugier on the back foot, but clearly rusty after such a long lay-off period. Marisa devilish across the ring, right hook to the jugs, left cleans the temple and... DOWN GOES VAUGIER inside the opening minute, as she crashes hard on her back-side underneath that blonde combo!!! Some jeers in the crowd, Vaugier looks lost out there and Miller seemingly en route to overturn the Upton shocker... Nope, that wasn't a one-punch destruction after all... Shiny-eyed French-Canadian gathers herself up at six and keeps staring at her blonde foe. Marisa with a broad smile "That caught your attention, didn't it?" she yells at the stunned brunette and the one-sided punchfest continues soon; Marisa with more jabs to the midsection, swings vigorously around the head but as Emmanuelle takes most of the low shots, she avoids getting nailed high. Jabbing sequence crashes off the gloves, Vaugier with single-strike response, just grazes the blonde who whacks the brunette in the jugs and leaves her moaning loudly. Miller barks in delight, more combos to the midsection before the bell and Vaugier sinks on the ropes late in the round. Miller with a text-book execution in the opening round, nothing to scrabble about for Vaugier.

Round 2:
Odds & Ends corner at work during the interval, worst kind of start for their girl and Miller gloats in delight from the opposite corner. Marisa on the front foot early, looking to confirm her dominance and perhaps finish the brunette off already. She closes the distance quickly, Vaugier seemingly still stunned by the opening round. Another series of jabs to the midsection, Emmanuelle blocks them off and counters high with a left/right to the cheeks. Marisa's caught off guard, too slow raising her arms and Vaugier switches the tempo, goes low to the ribcage herself, whacks more jabs to the chest, dances back and forth around the blonde, chips away at her, forcing Miller to duck and weave in avoidance. But the blonde doesn't retreat, tries to find some break-through with single jabs to the head. Vaugier's much quicker on her feet though, just weaves around those efforts, looks to have settled in after the troublesome start. Lightness and variety on disiplay from the French-Canadian, jabbing combos to the ribs followed by nifty uppercuts frustrate Miller who gets nailed repeatedly around her breasts and face, but holds her mitts firm, prevents the brunette from really hurting her. But Vaugier keeps the high-tempo going, finally forces the blonde back with another jabbing sequence to the ribs, all the way around the elbows. Marisa overprotective high, just too slow to cover up for the low shots, has to finally back away as Emmanuelle jumps after her and signs off the round with a left/right combo to the cheeks. Much better from the brunette and Miller looks both stunned and annoyed, but clearly the pacing let her down as Vaugier was anything but finished after the opening round.

Round 3:
Both women step to each other quickly, jabbing with high-intensity, catch the ribs and breasts early but there's no real break-through in the opening minute. Miller seemingly with more power behind her shots, works the left hook to the ribs repeatedly, but misses her right shots to the chin as Emmanuelle's speed enables her to stay out of trouble. After few attempts though, blonde finds that punch and snaps the brunette's head back, left jab to the chest throws Vaugier to the ropes where Marisa unloads more jabs to the stomach and bends her opponent down. Emmanuelle struggles to tame the charge, but wraps her arms around Miller's neck at the prize of more shots cleaning her stomach. Loud moans from the brunette but she locks the clinch and forces the ref to shove the raging blonde away. Marisa's not impressed, whacks a left hook to the mouth but skims of the chin and Vaugier leaps to the side, cracks a counter to the chest, left hook to the mouth... Miller's too slow to turn in time, head snaps to the side... Vaugier pours in with more shots to the jugs, Miller wants to jump away and almost loses her footing. Left hook on the chin, blonde's head snaps again as Marisa sinks on the ropes. Vaugier on the move, slaps her from both flanks to the ribcage, but is unable to land anything on the head again. Fruitless shots crash off the gloves and both women fall into a clinch late in the round as bell finally separates them. Vaugier perhaps doing enough to pull back even on the scorecards after that disastrous opening round.

Round 4:
Miller reckons she's lost all the mini-battles in the previous couple of rounds and comes out storming, whacks Vaugier in the temple with a left hook, but misses a right follow-up to the mouth. Emmanuelle ducks to the side, counters to the jugs, another left above the gloves laces Miller in the cheek. Head snaps nicely for Marisa who definitely took more shots on the face and body in the past six minutes. Vaugier keeps turning around and fire away from mid-range, just prevents the blonde from a moment of respite. Single shots to the head are blocked by the second minute, Marisa responds with more jabs to the midsection herself, goes low, tries to surprise the brunette with some variety, but Vaugier leaps back, counters from the top, cleans her on the forehead and Miller jumps away. Vaugier's menacingly fast around the ring though, immediately throws a series to the chest, laces the blonde in the ribcage and Marisa's response finds the guard. Stiff jab attempt from Miller, not good, Vaugier with a low hook to the chest, skims off the gloves, grazes the blonde's nose but Miller counters to the exposed ribcage, left hook underneath that last one, brunette turns away as Miller cracks her from the right to the cheek! Solid enough but Marisa mis-times her balance and is thrown forward too much; left arm too low while Vaugier whacks a right hook herself above the gloves; straight on the nose!!! Blood sprinkles immediately from the squashed nostrils and the blonde winces shortly but agonizingly before SHE GOES CRASHING DOWN on her right side and remains motionless on the canvas! Vaugier surprised with that punch, stands over the fallen Miller before she finally realizes what just happened. Miller continues to moan, lifts one arm and tries to push herself up at six, but notices blood stains on the canvas and bends her head over them. She tries to roll over, but her arm collapses under the weight and Marisa lands face-first on the canvas again. Ref counts her out moments later and the stunned crowd has witnessed another truly shocking loss for the blonde model... KO R4 Emmanuelle Vaugier in destructive, one-punch fashion!!!

Post-fight:
Empire corner with heads buried in their hands as Miller shows no signs of getting up long after the knockout. Just a general feeling of total disbelief. KO1 loss to the highly-touted Kate Upton was bad enough, but a one-punch destruction at the hands of long-time absent Vaugier is perhaps even worse. Miller's in a huge hole now and there's no indication she's getting out of there soon.

Meanwhile the French Canadian embraces her corner people and celebrates the win by climbing the ropes and blowing kisses to the crowd. The comeback ended in much better finish than literally anyone expected even despite Miller's recent poor showing against Upton. And that single punch that smashed Marisa's nose and send her crashing down? "Good enough to make the Tractorpull cover!" according to Odds & Ends entourage. It looks like the already overloaded with talent lightweight division may have gotten another woman to watch out for. Vaugier's comeback surely caught someone's attention!

Final result: Emmanuelle Vaugier def. Marisa Miller KO4.
