BEFORE: Palicki upbeat in prefight: "Yeah - I'm really pumped for Missy," Adrianne grins pretty at podium. "I love the high stakes; love the fact that gunning down Missy puts me into title position...it's just one of those matchups that makes every minute of training camp significant, you know?"

Missy sharing the enthusiasm...she knows this is pretty rarified lightweight air she's breathing. "Palicki's had her taste of the title and she wants it back; I want nothing less than division supremacy so I know I've got to deal with her...this is a great opportunity for both of us. I think it'll turn on her punch: if I take it the way I know I can, she'll be demoralized, and I'll roll her up. I'm so excited - I just wish we could fight right now!"

Missy in royal blue sport top; crimson bikini bottoms; white gloves; mahogany ponytail and devil-may-care bangs. Palicki in crimson crochet bikini; black gloves; long black curls loose.

During R1: Palicki jabbing for range, looking to hold Missy up outside, then lean in/clean up righty. Peregrym recognizing the plan, stepping side to side, parrying with her open right hand; spitting jabs back at Palicki's tits; staying low. Nobody hurt - tactical round to Adrianne as she proves the better negotiator.

R2: Palicki's hands loose at her chest...she's up on her toes now, showing a bit more movement, drawing Missy towards her. Peregrym bobbing and weaving, but minute mark: Palicki drops a tight one-two over Missy's left shoulder, putting Peregrym wobbly-butt! Second minute: Palicki stalks Missy along the perimeter - showing the long right hand to spook Missy into ropes; turning on vicious, snappy left uppercuts to body underneath. Down the stretch, Missy's recovered and banging back as Adrianne tries to close - Peregrym putting lefts and rights together on ribcage to avoid shutout.

R3: Missy finally weaving past Adrianne's jab...girls doing more fighting toe-to-toe from set positions. Palicki hands up, using heels of her hands to push at Missy's head or shoulders, then fitting her for licking uppercuts. Missy bobbing in crossed-arm, her right hand at left cheek, answering back clubbing, short lefts and rights to Palicki's jawlines/temples. Close, banging two-way goes to Peregrym...her hard head-punching has Palicki tying up down the stretch.

R4: Same as the third, only more one-sided as Missy forces Adrianne ropeside. Peregrym bobbing in the pocket - arms crossed beneath her chin...she's systematically clobbering away to skull - chopping lefts and rights - then bumping her crossed arms into Palicki's chest. Adrianne grumpy/frowning, but smart under pressure...pulling Missy's head down; tying her up head-and-arm; getting ref's breaks. Bell to bell Missy - she pushes up off Adrianne all I'm-a-little-bully...Palicki stoic en route to her corner.

R5: Adrianne showing a loping, easy movement - hands loose at her chest, issuing fluid jabs and crosses. Palicki stopping to stride into wide stance, getting off strong, then she's moving again, using the ring. Missy slipping/parrying, but unable to counter or penetrate...she's unhurt, but she can't impose will. Nice calm stuff from Palicki: stiff jabs; lancing right hands, but also a long, sidearm come-back hook as Adrianne stands up straight and twists shoulders-right.

R6: Two minutes of good consistent pressure from Missy stubby-jabbing her way in; banging mitts off flanks; bobbing up into short left uppercuts; chopping right hands upside Palicki's face. All for naught as Adrianne erases all with a single ripping right uppercut late - picking Missy up onto her toes, leaving her wobbly butt. Insurance left hook slams to a halt in Missy's tits as Palicki twists herself torso-right, connecting with a fully extended left to drive Peregrym back on her heels. Pallicki steals the round, sending Missy to her corner blinking/woozy.

R7: Missy shakes off Palicki's power, gets back to the business of consistently grinding Palicki down. Peregrym jabbing her way in, forcing Palicki to fight toe-to-toe much of the round. Girls grinding foreheads as they lean in, getting off in turns. Missy chopping/clouting left/rights up top, then loweriing her shoulders to work the midsection via rolling hup-hup. Palicki covering up in earmuff to receive, then clubbing back up top, or lashing left uppercuts underneath. Bruising, willful stuff sees Peregrym impose her will...stubborn Palicki finishing up the round back-on-ropes, competing at a trade deficit.

R8: HAMMER AND TONGS! Girls closing, bumping guards and foreheads, then strapping on harm. Missy hurt early as clobbering right hands rake her left temple...strong legs hold her up as Palicki enjoys rangy superiority. Middle minute a bitter back and forth as hurt Peregrym stands ground and brawls Palicki to stalemate, then down the stretch Missy ROCKS Adrianne via chopping right hands up top! Pallicki staggering back into ropes, covering up earmuff...Missy wades in, putting her head against Adrianne's guard and PUMPING rights and lefts to gut! Palicki paralyzed, just willing herself to soak this up...Missy mindlessly shovelling leather into body to bell ekes out the closest points of the fight!

R9: Brutal tousle-scrubbing brawling continues as fighters elect to dig in and work. Palicki dipping side to side, clouting lefts and rights to Missy's ears. Peregrym jerking right uppercuts in receipt, setting up withering hooks beneath the Pallicki jug-line. Bit by bit it's Missy backing Palicki up, outworking her, outwilling her...Adrianne an exhausted, shaky-legged beauty down the stretch, tying up with her back on the ropes as Missy pushes forward physically and mentally.

R10: Same again - just a grim, brutal, instinctive give and take as girls lean in to work. Palicki with hands up/elbows in, just clouting Missy either side the head, clubbing her drowsy. Peregrym stooped forward in crossed-arm, taking her punishment, then mindlessly answering - chopping Adrianne's ribs as Palicki covers up earmuff to suffer in turn. Bit by bit it's Pallicki...she's backing Missy up, stunning her, exhausting her. Bell: fighters robotically walloping away groggy until ref steps in...comes back a draw - both girls ashen-faced at the verdict. Serious conferences in both corners as respective trainers want no-BS answers from their battered fighters...both girls want to fight on.

R11: Girls lean in with foreheads, pushing and jostling for position...Palicki opens with heavy, clouting right hands upside Missy's head. Systematic wallop...Peregrym not answering...Peregrym stumbling to her right...PEREGRYM'S HURT! Crowd roaring at the sight of Missy's wobbling backside...Pallicki clouts away righty up top until Missy spills hurt into ropes. Leads to a strong clean up: Adrianne stepping-to, palming Missy's shoulders to brace, then OH, the shellack Palicki applies! Pushing and punching so methodical - big strapping licks whacked across Missy's midsection; lanky right uppercuts brushing Missy back; close-in lanky, clouting lefts and rights swatting Missy upside the head as she stands on the spot in crossed-arm, soaking up leather. Bell: Palicki shouting "JUST QUIT!" into Missy's battered, unresponsive face...Peregrym shabby-walking back to her stool for emergency repairs.

R12: Girls lay in, pushing groggily at each other, then Pallicki gets to clouting. Adrianne lifting Missy up via right uppercuts...Adrianne cuffing and clouting Missy senseless about the ears. Peregrym's legs occasionally give way, causing her to stagger to the side...she firms, lays in crossed-arm, standing her ground as Palicki closes and applies fresh shellack. Heartbreaking brutality as Missy is systematically clobbered around the ring, and down the stretch, her magnificent legs start to fail. Splashing right hands upside the head eventually send Missy reeling into ropes where she hits in disarray, then falls forward to all fours. Ref wanting to call it off, but Peregrym's climbing ropes, sobbing "DON'T YOU DARE!" Palicki hard-hearted...she steps to the dregs of Missy, dips left shoulder to lift a thick left uppercut into Peregrym's jugs; drops the overhand right tomohawk to Missy's forehead and DOWN GOES MISSY! Peregrym spilling to knees and face...pushing up on her hands as ref's walking Palicki out of range. MISSY BEATS THE COUNT! She's swaying on the spot, out on her feet, but too proud to quit...bell sounds; Pallicki lifts her mitts in exhausted triumph: she's the UD12 victrix.

After: Devastating brawl takes both women to the brink of submission...Palicki finds the will to put the finishing touches to a badly battered Missy P in overtime. "It hasn't sunk in yet," Pallicki mutters iin postfight, her eyes pounded to slits, ribs tensered up. "I just kept putting one foot in front of the other; kept moving my hands. I'm hurting - I know MIssy's hurting, but you know what? We fought to greatness tonight. Maybe only a handful of fighters have been where we went tonight, and that's special. I proved better than Missy tonight, but I couldn't have reached those heights without her."
