Although Tamsin has the better record on paper, she hasn’t fought anyone of note just yet, whilst Catherine has already been in the ring with Sabrina Washington.

Here come the girls, and Tamsin’s looking hot in a black leather one piece, with Catherine showing her newly-honed body in a red bikini.

Round 1

Tamsin’s straight into the attack, and she lands some good punches right in the centre of Catherine’s face, using her height and reach well, and she’s already got the blonde covering up with a little pink lump swelling up on her right cheekbone. Tamsin’s spotted it, too, and she’s picking Catherine apart right now, just smacking jabs onto that damaged cheek, with the blonde girl seemingly incapable of keeping the taller girl away. Now Tamsin works Catherine around the ring a little, gets her again with one, two left jabs, and she’s cut her – Catherine’s cut on the right cheek, and this is a bad start for her. Tamsin works away at her and she stuns her at the end of the round with a left hook, just to rub home her superiority.

Round 2

Catherine’s doing better as the round starts, keeping out of range where possible, and she’s looking more able to tie Tamsin’s arms up and stop her from throwing too much leather. She even starts to tag Tamsin a little to the body, but the taller girl is a cool cookie, and she extricates herself well, then sticks a couple of neat jabs on Catherine’s cut cheek, and that has the blonde girl backing off, the cut stinging her. In the closing seconds, Tamsin gives Catherine a nice little going over on the ropes, catching the judges eyes, and taking a slow round.

Round 3

The round starts slowly again, with Catherine spoiling and holding at every opportunity, muscling Tamsin a little and stopping her from getting any shots home. The fans are growing restless, and so is Tamsin, who stands off the shorter girl, then wipes a big right hook across her face, making her sag at the knees, and her fans start to get excited as she gives Catherine some more good, accurate punches to her face, reopening and even worsening that cut, and giving her plenty to worry about as she lands a good shot to the older girl’s mouth late in the round, Tyldesley looking shabby on the ropes at the bell.

Round 4

Catherine comes off her stool slowly, but Tamsin is showing lots of energy, and she starts cuffing the blonde’s face again straight away, and she’s stepping up the pace, landing those left jabs, knocking the fight out of Catherine. Tamsin gets the blonde to the body with her right hand, doubling her over, then in comes the left again, and Catherine’s down, face and knees on the canvas, and she isn’t getting up – it’s over.

Tamsin Egerton knocked Catherine Tyldesley out in round 4.

Tamsin answered a few questions tonight, and maybe she’s going to be a contender.
