Get one thing straight – these girls do not like one another! They fell out bigtime while working on the X Factor in 2011, and the tension between the two has been simmering ever since. Neither girl has made herself available for comment in the days leading up to this fight, although both has vowed to give the other one a real hiding.

Into the ring they come, with Kelly in a red and black lacy outfit, which can only be described as a corset (or basque) and knickers, and Tulisa’s in a black leather bikini – and boy are they glaring each other down!

Round 1

As expected, the fans are treated to the most torrid of starts, with neither girl bothering to box, just to punch, and this means that they are just smacking their gloves rather aimlessly into each other’s face at the beginning, which may not suit the elegant Kelly. Sure enough it’s streetfighter Tulisa who connects with the best punches early, and she’s giving Kelly trouble with her heavy left hook, which is landing sweetly and painfully in her face, and it’s Kelly holding while Tulisa hits now. The girls are separated by the referee, and Kelly emerges well, now using her footwaork, jabbing into Tulisa’s face, and starting to work her girl around the ring skillfully, thumping her ribcage hard, the bell ending a good even round.

Round 2

The start of the round is understandably more cagey this time – that early aggression was doing neither girl too much good, and now Tulisa starts to take an edge in the exchanges with the American, and she’s hurting her with her left hook once again. Kelly’s under fire here, and she’s having to step back and back and back, using her height and reach to try to keep Tulisa at bay, but the hard hitting Brit is softening her up now, pushing her into the ropes. Kelly clinches and holds, but Tulisa’s prising her off, and she’s hitting her again, The first two minutes are Tulisa’s but she becomes weary and that allows Kelly back in at the end, and she’s soon got her jab knocking the Brit’s head back again, even though she concedes the round.

Round 3

Kelly gets off her stool like a girl who means business this time, and that really sums her up, as she just bounces punches off Tulisa’s frowning face one after another. Red-faced, Tulisa does her best to get back into the fight, but she’s getting taken apart now, with Kelly’s correct and accurate jabs and crosses thudding into her face, making her look bad as she misses with her more rustic punching. Tulisa is taking a constant array of solid punches as Kelly slams her gloves into her in a spirited display, and she reverses the fight's course by keeping pressure on Tulisa and she punishes her, throughout the three minutes of a clinical and one-sided round! That must go down as 10-8 Rowland.

Round 4

Maybe getting overconfident, Rowland is looking sloppy early in the round, and she’s forgotten to give herself a sound base as she tries to hurt the Brit straight off without getting her jab going. This gives Tulisa the chance to get more attacks on the American and to score well, and that’s what she’s doing, switching her attack to the taller girl’s lovely body, and getting her onto those ropes, but Kelly won’t stay still, and she holds and clinches, frustrating the workmanlike Tulisa. Kelly eventually comes back, at her, and she’s fiercely fighting as the round starts to draw to a conclusion, lighting Tulisa’s face up with a savage right hook, then sending her into the ropes with a left hand that almost has the Brit down, before hurting her again with the right and taking the round.

Round 5

Again looking like the strong athlete she is, Kelly comes forward, willing to get more pressure on Tulisa, and she soon starts working the Brit backwards again, although isn’t hurting her this time. She pings Tulisa a few times with neat punches, but halfway through is hit hard by a series of punches from the younger girl, she lands a good left hook to her chin, then gets her with another, follows it with a solid right to the ear – Kelly’s legs buckle, but she doesn't go down. Worse follows for a disappointed Tulisa, as she gets payback from the America girl. Rowland traps poor Tulisa at the ropes in the last minute, and she storm into the girl’s body, hurting her and working her over inside. Tulisa covers well, but Rowland doesn't concede the round, and it’s looking bad for Tulisa.

Round 6

Kelly takes on in 6 from where she left off in 5, and she slams Tulisa with two good shots to the body immediately, and soon a cowering Tulisa is trapped against the ropes again and forced to cover. Kelly goes to work on her and she’s certainly softening the girl up, but eventually the Brit’s able to get out of her shell to shock Kelly again, and she catches the taller girl with a great right uppercut as she punches her way off the ropes, and she takes over the punishment in the last minute. Rowland refuses to go down, but she's getting frustrated at Tulisa’s resilience, and the girls are bearing the marks of battle on their faces now, swollen and sore, the both of them, with Tulisa bleeding freely from the nose and lips.

Round 7

Encouraged by her late rally in the previous round, Tulisa gets a second wind! The girl is throwing those bombs from both hands now, and they’re landing in Kelly’s face, left, right, left again! Kelly is looking to fight back, but Tulisa’s beating her to the punch every time. This is great stuff from the Brit, who hurts Kelly repeatedly with punches to her face, then switches downstairs and gives her ribcage a battering. Rowland looks shellshocked, and she’s getting hit hard for the first time in this fight, getting pushed to the ropes, then tagged – the American’s long legs will still hold her up, but she's suffered a lot, and a cut under her right eye reflects this as she stumbles back to her corner..

Round 8

Kelly Rowland’s now battling back almost out of desperation, and her punches are really quite ragged as Tulisa picks her shots, lands neatly and moves away, pretty much a role reversal from the early rounds. With Rowland moving forwards and throwing shots, Contoslavos has to be more on the defensive, and she keeps the American girl at bay for much of the time, absorbing any punishment the taller girl metes out on her gloves and arms. Letting the older girl punch herself out maybe – then she clubs her foe later on, smacking her hard to the face, reopening the cut on her cheek, and she evens the round - Rowland looks spent now, and she seems very pleased to sit down, her advantage perhaps beginning to evaporate.

Round 9

Tulisa comes out bristling with energy, and she’s soon launching herself right at Kelly, and she pings her quite beautifully, sending her reeling backwards and into a corner, setting her up, and in comes Tulisa for the finish. She smashes the bigger girl with everything she has, smacking her battered face, then lifting her with some brutal body punches, truncated uppercuts to the solar plexus which wind, hurt and weaken the big American. After Tulisa bangs away with three solid left hand punches to the face, Kelly finally crumbles. Rowland doesn't stay down though, she's up at 8. A wobbly Rowland finishes the round on her feet, with Tulisa still pounding on her – the Brit scored big but she's also exhausted.

Round 10

Clearly thinking she’s done enough, Contoslovoslos seems to avoid the fight, she's happy with the result as he knows she's ahead. Rowland’s exhausted too, but she pushes herself to the limits, desperate not to lose to her young rival. Neither girl seems able to land a decent punch, although it’s Kelly who’s trying to do some damage, her jabs once again sending Tuilsa’s head backwards, and her body too, the English girl seeking some kind of sanctuary in the ropes, covering up and trying to stop the bigger girl from damaging her any more..Now the fight’s into it’s final minute, and Kelly really steps it up -Tulisa finally gets hit, and Rowland’s on autopilot, hitting her hard again with her left hand, she sends Tulisa down. Tulisa’s on all fours, sobbing, and she uses the ropes to get up at 9. Rowland’s on a mission to finish Tulisa off, pushes her and pounds her belly, then traps her again on the ropes, and she goes for the KO but there is no time! At the bell, Tulisa collapses on her knees, and Rowland’s tired but confident.

Here’s the result – it comes back, close… UD10 ………. Tulisa Contostavlos!

Kelly’s enraged – surely she’s been robbed? She and her entourage storm the judges table, and security has to muscle in to escort the judges away. Tulisa almost balcks out on her stool, and barely hears the furious Kelly being led away screaming, “This ain’t the end of this! Not at all!"
