Before: fight comes together as girls get on the phone themselves, cut out all the middlemen and hammer out terms. Both had been training for fights with no opponents signed, and there’s some unfinished business between them as Farrell owns a hard-to-believe KO win over Charlize. “I want that back,” says a playful Theron in pre-fight. “That’s never looked right to me,” Insiders report that Farrell’s team anxious about the timing of the bout: “TE’s got charts and stochastic on Charlize going back to ‘97, tape of every fight she’s ever had,” Deep Throat relates. “They keep track of a lot of stats on her, punch counts per round, that sort of thing and when they see her moving averages dropping off a little, that’s when they like to put their fighters in there. Charlize is hot right now--it’s not like she dipped much against Gina Gershon. Terry’s tough and TE knows it.” Charlize in white bikini, Terry in electric blue, hair tied back with blue ribbon.

During R1: Cocky Charlize comes out with her right at her cheek, left dangling low and loose--blonde steps in and out, lashing her left hand in a sizzling arc fro her hip while picking Terry’s jab off with her right--moments in Theron strikes gold with the clouting hook, swiveling Terry’s head and sending her wobbly butt into the ropes. Charlize wading in, hard lead right hand to the breadbasket doubling up the brunette and it’s all shove and slug from there on. Terry in survival mode--she can’t get off, she’s all covered up, bending forward, leaning back into the ropes, rolling her shoulders to help absorb shock--Charlize stepping with her as Terry slides, dukes up, batting the straight arm hook downstairs, biting tiptop and finishing hard with right crosses from not-quite inside. Shutout Charlize--Terry busted up and hurt after 3 long minutes leaves her smoldering.

R2: Terry up on her toes, dancing to her left, unraveling that condor jab to keep Charlize as far away as possible. Theron stalking, but patient--she’s willing to trade jabs, wait for openings, then stomping forward with a fencers plant and lash the hook or lean into the cross. Farrell competitive, but giving ground a little too cheap--Theron the clear aggressor.

R3: Charlize still making the fight, but Terry comfortable with the distance and pace--she can wheel, start to vary her jab looks, sometimes bringing it off her hip, sometimes chopping it from her cheek, occasionally flinging it out backhanded from her chest. Theron willing to take the punch to stay in range, rouging up a little as Terry’s stick’s no joke. Final moments, Charlize insolent with her left low--pawing at the left tit, pawing at the tit and STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND! Farrell stunned by the sudden rocket to her jaw, lead foot jerking up off the canvas and she nearly jackknifes to the canvas but manages to crash into the ropes., Charlize lifting her mitts, stands with her legs together, chest out, butt back like an Olympic gymnast, smiling wide as Farrell lolls helplessly on the ropes. Oh the showboating!

R4: Charlize keeping the left low, tight hand cocked at her stomach--every time Terry throws the left, Theron turns into a slinging right counter to the ribs as the fight continues midring, outside. Charlize landing the harder blows, stalking, making the fight--Terry looks like she’s fighting to survive rather than win.

R5: Terry told she’s got to step it up, take some risks, and she catches Charlize a little flat footed this round. Farrell taking advantage of Theron’s low left mitt, landing repeated right hands on the chi that don’t back Charlize off, but do connect with blunt force impact. Theron guilty of disrespect, walking straight in and getting picked up by the lanky right cross and slapping wide left hooks of her foe--Farrell starting to slide step out of range after getting off, getting some paint strokes in on Charlize. Terry’s first points of the fight--she’s clearly buoyed at having scored on Theron with some consistency.

R6: Terry turns it up a notch and starts to get decent head-turn out of Charlize, courtesy that dead-drifting right cross. Theron seems unfazed, but her corner doesn’t like her getting hot so much--screaming at her to give some angles. Charlize keeping the left low, inviting right hands and Terry starts to get a little cross-happy. Midway through, Charlize times a Farrell right, rolling with it and coming back with a sidearm swinging right to the solar plexus and TERRY IS HURT! Farrell gut shot, falls in to clinch and Charlize steps back in good order, putting her long arms to work at stoving in Farrell’s extended ribcage, thudding lefts and rights crash home as Terry stumbles forward and FARRELL IS DOWN! Terry rolling to her back in anguish, hugging herself on the canvas, knees in the

air as Charlize struts around, taking a look-see at the damage, KO6 Charlize Theron.

After: Terry badly worked over---physicians attend her as Charlize preens in her corner for the paparazzi. “I’d walk her,” says the long cool blonde, “but that’s sort of like getting a trophy for taking out the garbage, She’s not worth the sweat.” Ouch. Interested observer Ali Landry purses her lips and claps half-heartedly as the winner is announced--she can’t help but notice that Charlize has feasted on good welterweights in her last two outings. “If she’s coming after me,” Landry tells Jim Grey, “I haven’t heard anything about it. I’d like to think Charlize is smarter than that.”
