Before: Tough bout on paper for Farrell, but Heigl on e punch at a time style could be the chance Terry needs to counter the big blonde’s numbing power. Bit of a crossroads element--both girls are the kind of fighters you need to beat in order to make a splash at welter--somebody’s going to splash, somebody’s gong to get splashed. Terry in royal blue aerobics two piece, high neck top, Heigl in messy ponytail, tight black crop top tshirt and black aerobics bottoms.

During R1: Farrell angry, hands low, trying to step Kathy back with the jab, but midway through a rocketing right hand back from the blonde has Farrell stunned, weight out over her front foot--Heigl props the brunette up with a pulping right uppercut between the breasts and puts a whistling short left on the chin to PUT TERRY DOWN! Terry helplessly hurt--crashes straight down to her knees, then sprawls on her side, eyelashes batting with a tragic “I-am-out’ signal. Somehow Farrell struggles to wonky feet--hungry, hungry Heigl steps forward, laces the left in Terry’s chest and slams over the top with a big right cross to send Farrell reeling to the ropes. Terry hunched over, covered up as she braces herself on the ropes--Heigl walking in, HAMMERING away at the left side ribcage with monster right hands, using her shoulder to press Terry back and hopefully jostle her up for keen right uppercuts through the middle. Big smile for usually reticent Heigl at the bell--she leaves Terry smoldering in a daze at the bell.

R2: Farrell out on stiff looking legs--boxing seems out of the question as she stands flat footed, digging at Heigl with awkward, pumping left/rights on the body, finishing up with a slinging hook on the chin. Kathy likes the head on approach--SHE’S banging away at the brunette’s aching ribcage wide to both sides and steadily backing Farrell up after sharp exchanges. Punches get progressively more savage until midway through, girls are loading up and firing heartstopping salvoes, punching at the same time, narrowly beating each other to the same shot selection. AND HEIGL GOES DOWN! Vicious exchange sees both girls come off the body and try for left hooks--it’s Heigl’s head swiveling suddenly, Heigl’s body and legs crumbling away to leave her lying in stupor on the canvas. AND IT’S OVER! Incredible KO2 Terry Farrell devastates favored Kathy H!

After: Bitterly hard punching ruins bettors who had been leaning towards Heigl early, Terry late. As she had in the past, Farrell guts out a slug fest, coaxing power out of that gangly frame when she needed it, beating Kathy to punches and nailing the game winner a split second away from getting clocked herself. “Not to be mean,” a woozy Terry Farrell says in post fight, “but she had me down and couldn’t finish me. I got up and I was hurt, but I came out slugging and when SHE went down, she didn’t have what it took to get back up. I beat this woman with my heart and I’m proud of that.”
