Before: Nice contrast in physiques and styles--Ledoyen with a wide open sling approach, Milano more compact, working from closer in--good action contest expected. Alyssa hungry to get at that willowy trunk, confidently predicting a Ledoyen collapse around the halfway mark. Virgiie ib black leather bikini, Alyssa in gold tankini, blonde hair.

During R1: Milano with a series of bull rushes, tackling Ledoyen about the waist and cramming her into the corners--Virginie forced to clinch--Milano able to dig at the stomach and thighs of the lean brunette before referee’s breaks in stop and go action throughout. Ledoyen starts to time the charges late, clipping arising left hand across the face before Milano gets on her--round to Alyssa.

R2: More of the same--Alyssa bulling her way straight in--:Ledoyen trying to lash a licking left uppercut before getting tackled--Milano getting the better of things in close. Alyssa muscling her girl to the ropes, fighting off Ledoyen’s chest, rolling her shoulders to put both fists into the gut, and curling down to drift punches into the sinewy thighs of the French girl. Milano scolded by the 60-something ref who is very slow to react to these infractions.

R3: Ledoyen borrowing a little wisdom from the Bo Derek book of lanky-bodied infighting--Virginie clapping her elbows and forearms against Milano; shoulders inside, occasionally connecting to the jaw as Alyssa lean in. Milano responding with stuffing blows to the bikini bottoms--both girls warned as the fight devolves into a series of missy clinches, girls taking turns outraging the other as the ref tries to maintain order.

R4: Virginie loping side to side now--lateral movement key to keeping Alyssa off her. Ledoyen using a fluttering open hand jab--doesn’t hurt, but it freezes Milano--Ledoyen starting to score with looping right hands from underneath and over the top, striding away as Milano soaks it up. Alyssa crouching forward, arms crossed, bobbing her head, but she’s getting potshotted effectively this round. Down the stretch, Alyssa storms the gates and is kissed perfectly with a bolo left uppercut on the chin--Milano stumbles forward to hands and knees as Virginie struts away, Alyssa up quickly, tries to walk Ledoyen--Virginie flicking the jab, suddenly torques, bashes a whippy hook off Milano’s temple--Alyssa stands up, hops on her right foot then pitches to the canvas--second knockdown! Milano up at the bell, eyes liquid, gloves at her lips, groggily reassuring the ref that she can continue. 10-7 round Ledoyen.

R5: Alyssa showing some resolve--continues to step forward, moving her head, but she’s using a stubby jab up the middle to gain entrance--Ledoyen can’t just time her with the uppercut. Good moments for Milano in this round--she’s fighting off Virginie’s chest, cramming her fists into the waist of the brunette, bulling her into the ropes, Ledoyen continually warned for use of elbows in close--but Milano’s her own sheriff, answering every foul with a crotch tap or charley punch to the thigh. Round to Alyssa.

R6: All that lower body work seems to have paid off--Virginie’s lost her bounce--she’s flat footed, tired--Milano walks her down, bodies up and wrestles the lanky brunette into the ropes. Shove and slug shutout for Alyssa--face on Virginie’s chest, pushing the brunette’s arms back, plunging fists mindlessly into the body. Ledoyen looking grumpy--she’s getting bullied and has no answers--can’t get the blonde off her.

R7: More Milano pressure--more smothering frustration for Ledoyen. Virginie just can’t get her back off the ropes--Milano palming, bodying up, pressing her weight into the French girl, using her head under Ledoyen’s chin and throwing constantly to the ribs and stomach. Ledoyen with the odd uppercut inside, but she’s on her heels--punches doing nothing to discourage Milano from pouring it on.

R8: Alyssa back inside Virginie’s trunks--when she’s not punching , Milano is swarming, clinching around the body, using her legs to drive Ledoyen into the ropes or turnbuckles. Virginie just not strong enough--she’s taking the punches well, but she can’t answer back effectively in this swampy action. Milano starting to key on the jaw, coning off the body with double tap left or right hands, swatting to the head to finish up combinations.

R9: Ledoyen finally with some offense--pin wheeling lefts and rights momentarily keep Milano at long range--Virginie loping around her foe, slinging punches from weird angles and keeping Milano on the defensive. Midway through--Virginie steps in with a lashing left uppercut, driving Milano onto her heels--Alyssa’s wobbly butt and faltering to then ropes! Ledoyen splashing big looping punches across the blonde’s body and head--Milano sliding along the ropes in trouble, doing just enough to evade the worst of it. Ledoyen punching herself out late, but she pockets the shutout, sends Milano back to her corner stunned.

R10: Collision midring as both girls come out blasting. Milano bending at the waist, keeping her punches short, beats Ledoyen wide swings consistently as the girls trade lefts and rights. It’s all Alyssa slipping, chopping little rights and lefts onto Ledoyen’s jaw as she works into and out of her crouch--Virginie soaking up bombs, winging punches, but she’s falling part. Accumulation of jolting blows as Ledoyen staggering in and an exchange of hooks sends her scooting to her backside. Virginie up at 8, but the fight’s gone out of her--Milano tackling her girl to the ropes, has her way to the bell, slamming hard right hands to the jaw and stomach, bodying up to reload, then pulling out for more slugging. Virginie finishes up slack jawed and punished--but she goes the route. UD10 Alyssa Milano.

After: Milano pumped with bloodlust, takes her opponent on a heartless walk of shame--both girls took some tough shots in this one and had to dig down to continue. Very mature performance for Milano--down twice in the 4^th, the old Alyssa would have found a way to crumble--instead she buckled down, took 5 of the remaining 6 rounds and out Virginie on the canvas to finish strong. Ledoyen with the usual growing pains--but that deceptive power once again evident--Alyssa hurt on several occasions in this often brutal affair.
