This is a late start in BBU boxing for the former Spice Girl, but she has no worries about taking on the beautiful Kimberley Walsh, despite being 38 years old.

Here come the girls, with Mel in a red one-piece swimsuit outfit, and Kim in a pale green bikini, and she looks absolutely stunning!

Round 1

The fight starts quietly, with Walsh looking the more determined girl, and after a brief sizing up, she goes right at Mel, the older girl seeming a little hesitant at the moment, and Kim’s getting stuck into Sporty Spice nicely, tucked in behind her gloves, and moving quickly. Snapping out her gloves. Kim's jab eats Mel early, but an irritated Chisholm starts to fight back with rangy hooks, and they’re aimed at the lovely girl’s body. Walsh covers up well, though, weathers the storm, and gives back more punishment to Mel C as the round ends, leaving the older girl to stare at her in partial disbelief.

Round 2

Sporty Spice starts to find her range right from the bell, and she’s getting through Kim’s guard, landing shots in the girl’s face with power and speed, and she just punishes Kim, hurting her with some good work to the body, then she lands her right hook, once to the jaw, then to the cheek, then to the jaw again, and Kim almost goes down on several occasions, the girl getting really worked over in the latter stages of the round, and her left cheek is swollen and shining now. The volume of work by Mel C is ripping this fight away from Kimbeley, who must be relieved to survive a big round for Mel.

Round 3

This time the action moves towards the ropes, and the seemingly superior Mel suffers early, with Kim able to catch her face straight in a couple of occasions. These are good times for Walsh, who is showing good handspeed, and bopping Mel backwards, but now the older girl hits her in the belly, then gives her a hammer from either gloves to the ribs, and she turns her around, pitching her onto the ropes she’s just slipped off Now Mel starts to score more and more, getting at Kim's ribcage first, and down slip the gloves, exposing her chin, and Kim goes down! Walsh has just been spattered by a right hand to the mouth. She’s up at 8, but she’s sluggish, and Mel traps her again on the ropes, and she’s just pouring rights on her face, shuts the girl’s eye, and the ref stops the fight with seconds to go in the round! Walsh and her corner are enraged, Mel C is jubilant, and in fairness, Kim was offering nothing but a target.

Melanie Chisholm stopped Kimberley Walsh in round 3.

Is Mel the real deal? Kim isn’t the best bantam in BBU, but she was thrashed tonight, and that will be watched by all the other bantams, including Mel Brown, who is in the Lioness stable.
