Before: Hard women, hard fight--classic B.A.D. match up. Luner is still in denial concerning Theron, insisting “I gave that fight to Charlize,” to anyone who’ll listen. Lynch more philosophical about Jamie’s misfortune: “Look , if Charlize beats you with her fists, she beats you. If she beats you psychologically, she beats you. It’s all fighting, and nobody gives anybody anything in this sport. We all just take, and I’m afraid Jamie’s going to be taken again. When I beat Jane Krakowski, I knew I was ready to go to the next level, After beat Jamie, everyone else will know it too.” Lunch in black leather bikini, slicked back fighting braid, Luner in black push up and panties, slicked back ponytail.

During R1: Jamie dropping down ¾ on her hook, batting it against Kelly’s high guard as she slides to her left. Lynch working off the block, more selective with her punches, trying to fit the short right hand onto Luner’s chin. Jamie’s legs the difference--her footwork’s setting the agenda for the fight.

R2: Kelly answers Jamie’s feet with body punches--juicy left/rights to the waist, followed with a bashing left hook up top to get Luner hopping left. Round sees a series of sharp exchanges, girls punching with each other, trying to time each other--Lynch lands several satisfying right hands--all shoulder and body behind them--to take the round.

R3: Jamie sees Kelly’s body punching and raises her. Batting hooks splatter up and up down Lynch’s right side--Luner getting off, stepping to the right or left and starting to drift her own right cross in on Kelly’s mouth. Luner boxing beautifully by the end of the round, turning her girl and picking her over--Lynch stubborn behind a high guard, defending herself well.

R4: Still a close fight, but Luner’s dictating terms--where the girls fight, when they fight and even how to some extent. Luner staying I range, getting off first, then pivoting to the side--Lynch hanging in the pocket, blocks a lot of leather, but she’s too patient, stalking after Jamie but not getting off. Luner starting to spear punches in between the mitts or down into the body--she’s chipping away at Lynch’s composure minute by minute.

R5: Jamie nudging her jab in between Kelly’s mitts, steps right and rings the brunette up with the hardest punch of the fight--a slashing down and in right cross that had Lynch stooping forward momentarily in swoon, Jamie opening with the ¾ batting hook and sizzling rights beat her girl to the ropes, but Kelly wont crater--sensational toe to toe erupts as Lynch digs in at the perimeter, dipping side to side to propel shattering, shirt lefts and rights in tight curls against Jamie’s ribs and head. Luner forced to back out of the cauldron, but once she lures Jelly into open space, redhead takes over again with the classy combination of hand speed, footwork, and accuracy. Luner rolling up the points, finally gets a little jiggle in her opponent’s thighs--a very confident redhead after 5.

R6: Jamie Luner back with a chopping jab, occupying Lynch up high, taking little half steps back to inch the brunette forward, then a blistering pattern of punches bursts across Kelly’s frame. Hard right hand to the waist, batting left to the ribs, slashing right on the mouth and a clanging hook on the eye all connect and Lynch staggers back in mute protest. Jamie on her quickly sensing the finish--she POURS it on as Lynch covers up, droops forward and starts to soak. Savage Luner action--punches splattering across Kelly’s back, into her sides--Jamie just stepping with her girl as Kelly numbly slides along the ropes. Down the stretch, Luner bending down to sink gorgeous body shots home, has Lynch crippled--brunette desperately reaching in to clinch. Luner stepping to the right, allowing Kelly to topple forward, clubbing face with a short, bent arm hook and LYNCH GOES DOWN! Kelly destitute on her hands and knees, struggles to take 8 at the bell.

R7: Jamie on to finish. Power punching flurry midring, both girls opening up--Lynch sweeps a wide left hook to the jaw, then bites down on a shattering Ezzard Charles straight right hand, and LUNER GOES DOWN! Big head snap--Luner rolled to her back by an exquisite short punch to her chin, Luner scrambled, but beats the count--SHE’S ragged now as Lynch stalks forward, Jamie poking and brushing her jab, eyes very dreamy--Lynch just bobbing, moving her head, suddenly steps in with same left hook, the very same drilling right hand and IT’S OVER! Violent head snap Luner, she’s out before she hit’s the canvas--redhead helpless on her back--KO7 Kelly Lynch.

After: Brilliant right hand punching, economical movement, and tons of heart see Kelly Lynch past Jamie Luner in a corker. Kelly weathering heartless abuse from Jamie, clearly enjoys the payback drop page and stoppage. “It’s the best when you can take hers, but she can’t take yours,” Lynch beams in post fight. Whither Jamie Luner? Comeback Fighter of 2001 off to a rocky start and obsessing over her lost opportunity against Theron--Jamie just needs to remember how good she is, forget about Charlize and never ever let Kelly Lynch beat her on television again.
