BBU SUMMER MADNESS @ THE KO CLUB

The action at the Summer Madness event in the KO Club, Barnet enters the sharp end of things as personal feuds rage among the next six combatants waiting for their turn in the locker room. First up is a bantamweight clash between BBU TV's lead reporter Denise van Outen who was present ringside earlier tonight before switching her attentions into proper fighting activities and the buxom redhead glamour model Amy Childs. Van Outen has openly questioned Childs' boxing skills and the gauntlet has been thrown with lots of pride on stakes tonight. Childs, member of the Kear's Kats stable will look to complete a sweep of her stable's victories as Jorgie Porter, Cheryl Cole and Sarah Harding all won tonight in emphatic fashion.

Both women's records are not too spectacular, but van Outen often fought at lightweight and against better opposition. However Childs is sixteen years younger which might give her the advantage in the latter stages of the bout. "Childs won't last five rounds, I'll punch her jugs flat", Denise maintains her record on the redhead's skills but Childs is believed to have been practicing very hard in the gym in recent weeks. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Denise seemingly stunned by her rival's pink gloves gets a taste of them early as Amy leaps up with confidence and jabs to the head and midsection, not much of a tactical approach from the buxom model, she's just laying as much leather as she can but van Outen holds her ground, covers up for the high shots responds with single strikes to the body herself. Childs very lively on her feet, cracks more shots from mid-range but only grazes the blonde's flesh. Denise with little signs of activity in the opening round, almost like she wants to wear her opponent out, not vice versa.

Round 2:
Childs closes the distance again, makes Denise work quick on her feet, but misses few shots to the head as the blonde ducks to the side and counters from mid-range. Early signs of jug-pounding as van Outen bounces off Amy's chest with quicks jabs and that gets the redhead annoyed as she whacks a huge cross-hook but misses the blonde's nose and stumbles forward, opens up for another jabbing combo to the chest and duly gets laced there moments later. Amy retreats after taking that series and van Outen's smiling broadly as she keeps her forcus, doesn't rush things. Amy leaps back and forth, fakes some shots to the body but hardly catches the blonde's attention before the bell.

Round 3:
Van Outen piles on with a high-tempo jabbing to the chest, looks like she's dropped the fun games and finally means business. Amy covers up her chest and cracks a straight jab over the top that skims off the top of the blonde's head. Left hook to the ribcage catches the elbow and Denise winces in anger, Amy with a solid response, goes all the way around the gloves and whacks the older woman in the temple! Van Outen bends forward, but Childs leans on her, cracks a series of half-uppercuts to the stomach, throws more jabs to the body and forces Denise to clinch her as the redhead was getting the upperhand in that exchange. Amy's enhanced chest enables her to shove the blonde back to the ropes, van Outen seemingly can't cope with the cleavage contest and reverts into some low jabs to the ribcage. Ref tries to separate the fighters but struggles to do so before the round concludes and many people in the stands wonder what was that all about?

Round 4:
Childs still hasn't been exposed too much and comes out firing, catches the slow-moving van Outen in the cheek, follows up to the ribcage and rocks the blonde with a vicious gutwrencher. Those pink gloves work like crazy as Amy pummels a strangely cumbersome reporter back to the ropes where she cleans out her midsection and forces a loud groans from the blonde. Childs with more jabs to the chest, flicks a right hook to the cheeks and Denise wants more clinching, gets nailed in the temple and leans on the redhead before finally wrapping arms around her neck. Low jabs to the ribcage follow but it's Amy once again landing more clean shots and van Outen is struggling big time to make an impression.

Round 5:
Childs is showing first signs of fatigue, she remains glued to the ropes and can't match the blonde's pace across the canvas anymore. Her lungs need some time to recover but Denise spots the opportunity and fires a series to the chest before finally rocking the redhead's guard with a solid hooking combo. Amy with a sudden lapse of movement, allows the blonde to whack her in the ribcage and follow up with a big uppercut that shatters her mitts and crushes off the chin!!! What a hit, poor Amy never saw it coming and she falls back on the ropes with a loud moan. Here comes van Outen, smacks her stunned opponent across the face twice as the arms go numb on the glamour girl.. DOWN GOES CHILDS sliding on her backside and looking totally surprised by what had just happened!!! "Told ya, won't last five rounds, slut!" Denise is ready to call this one a day but the redhead has other ideas... shakes her head few times and climbs back upright at seven!!! She shoves the ref away and piles on with a series of jabs to the head and now it's the older woman looking totally surprised as Childs jabs to the midsection and chest, flicks a hook to the mouth and has Denise scrambling for cover along the ropes. However she's unable to mount another attack before the bell and looks physically on the limits already.

Round 6:
Indeed stamina is the main concern for Childs who fought more than four rounds only twice in her career and never won a bout that went longer than three. She does look tired just by the ammount of effort she's put into this and Denise picks her off easily in the sixth, jabbing from mid-range, throws unanswered blows to the ribcage and body, seems to turn on the fun games again as she flicks some cross-hooks to the jugs, fakes some shots up high and poor Amy has lost the plot, tries to cover up her face but gets whacked in the boobs repeatedly instead. She tries to fire back but is very slow in execution, doesn't even graze the blonde's flesh anymore and gets pounded into the ropes late in the round as van Outen further maintains her offensive approach and shows little signs of fatigue herself.

Round 7:
Childs breaths heavily during the interval but comes out with another jabbing sequence, probably knows she can't outlast a woman 16 years her senior; what a travesty. She connects with van Outen's midsection early but gets smacked by a vicious straight jab and the pink gloves get split wide apart, Denise drops a put away follow-up on the mouth and Amy falls to the ropes has to wrap her arms around them to stay upright... Denise leaps up to her and whacks her in the face with no resistance whatsoever... the redhead has no chance and SHE SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES, her arms still trapped between the ropes, head down and this time it looks bad... couple of punches from point-blank range would have spelled trouble for most of the BBU roster, let alone Amy Childs... she gets her left arm free of the ropes but as she looks to free the other one, she suddenly starts blubbering and crashes face-first on the canvas at Denise's feet. Ref gets the count to seven and waves it off... Childs is not moving on the floor... TKO R7 Denise van Outen!!!

Post-fight:
Courageous effort from Amy Childs who certainly has developed a fighting heart inside her enhanced chest, but the core performance isn't there just yet. She looked very uncomfortable past the fifth round and one has to question her fitness preparations. Sometimes an old fox can fool a spring chicken into a false sense of security and it was Denise can Outen who looked in much better shape as time went on. As a result the Kear's Kats end their Summer Madness participation with three wins and one loss instead of the perfect card. Still, a very good showing from the Kats which are always a welcomed part of any Barnet-based events!

"I completely owned the kid in the mindgames", a surprisingly laid-back Denise tells the crowd after the fight, "Yeah, I wanted to knock her out, but I basically wore her out in the end. I knew she was dangerous inside the first few rounds, so I kinda let her do her thing. There was no point in me going after her early, once I went past the fourth I knew I had this in the bag. And I apologize all the Kats, I just had to play around with Amy both before and during the fight. Once she gains more experience, she'll be a better fighter, but I don't really hold a particular grudge against anyone, perhaps but for Natalie Bassingthwaighte and the dumbest woman in the entire universe, Christine Bleakley!!!"
