t's time for the main event of the Summer Madness boxing gala and the Lioness Club will look to salvage an even result on the night as they've won just one of the three bouts which included their fighters. There's an extended background behind the two girls who are about to enter the ring as Lioness Club's Charlotte Church was reportedly the prime target for the recently created Lookout! Atlantic Boxing stable and their current top bantam girl, Alice Eve was only picked as the second choice. Word on the street is, Alice Eve won't find peace on her mind until she defeats Church and confirms her status as LAB's primary bantam fighter.

Of course Charlotte couldn't resist taunting her next rival and has told Denise van Outen that she'll find it "particulary satisfying" when she decks Eve and claims "eternal superiority" over the Lookout! blonde as a result. Church, the reigning Welsh bantamweight champion, knocked out Alesha Dixon in her last outing and is believed to be in top shape of her career despite suffering a tremendous beatdown at the hands of Miranda Kerr few weeks earlier. Meanwhile Alice Eve forfeited her chance to take part in LAB's recent PPV card in order to focus on her clash with Church. "It's personal and everyone knows it", Alice is quoted by van Outen, "I had a good start to my BBU career, but beating Church is all that matters. I must shut her foul mouth before someone accuses me of dodging this useless tramp. The fight is on her turf and the crowd won't support me, but I don't care. I'm confident I can knock her out and move on with my career!" The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Careful start from both girls, one senses the pre-fight vocal abuse is one thing, but the ring rules are somewhat different. Single-strike approach from both each side, nothing too fancy or aggressive, just testing the other one out. Few faked shots from Charlotte but Alice keeps her guard high and responds with a jabbing sequence to the ribcage. Church weaves around the ring slightly quicker, but is happy to keep the distance and there are signs this ain't gonna turn into a banzai punchfest unless someone has no other choice. Fine combo from the Welsh girl late in the round, but Alice cracks a stiff jab that rocks the guard and looks for a follow up to the midsection before Charlotte is able to jump away and the laid-back manner of the opening round continues until the bell sends them back to their corners.

Round 2:
Charlotte shows more signs of aggression, leaps back and forth around the blonde, peppers her ribcage from mid-range before jumping to the side. Alice with a determined look on her face, ignores the teasing, fails to trigger an aggressive launch herself and this tactics spurrs Church into a more frantic work as she keeps jabbing away at her rival with impressive intensity however Eve's footwork is looking might good as she weaves around her foe's efforts and cracks a right hook to the temple, catching the Welsh champ off-guard. Church laps back, looks surprised by that lick and Alice sends her a cheeky smile. More weaving around the ropes, Charlotte drops her arms seems to be playing a waiting game, but Alice has none of it and remians glued to the ropes as well. Who will blink first here?

Round 3:
Church wants to make her move and closes right in on the blonde opponent, but her shots to the tummy are covered by the elbows and Alice snaps her head with an overhand right, follows up with a left to the ribcage and pushes the Welsh girl back to the ropes. Alice finally kicks into gear, whacks a couple of cross-hooks across Church's face, forces her to cover up, but lands more jabs to the guts and Charlotte clinches to tame the sudden rush of activity from her rival. Ref shoves the Lookout! blonde away and Charlotte leaps to the side, but gets laced with a piercing jab to the mouth, Alice springs like a cat all over her and blasts a series to the ribs; Church responds with some chaotic shots to the head, misses majority of them and gets sunk on her knees with another gutwrencher. Alice leans on her and looks for more damage, but can't escape a clinch as the Welsh champ uses some experience to catch a breather. Both girls remain locked in a clinch until the bell, but Alice took that round in convincing fashion.

Round 4:
Alice teases Charlotte by dropping her arms and weaving around her with no signs of respect and the Welsh girl loses her temper; she jumps after Eve and laces her in the stomach before finding some range to the chest. Alice cracks her in the cheeks, gets pushed back and can't follow up with her efforts as teasing the local girl that much might have not been the best idea. Church with a frantic jabbinhg sequence to the ribs, piles on with more blows to the head and Eve seeks some cover along the ropes, but gets nailed in the nose with a vicious right hook as the tempo suddenly increases in dramatic fashion. Church traps her rival along the corner post and pummels her in the guts, throws some vicious hooks to the head and Alice can only cover up and wait for Charlotte to wear out. Indeed, the intensity of Church's attack drops in the final minute but she still whacks a couple of jabs to the stomach, ducks under the blonde's response and clinches to see out the round as Alice looks much relieved as well but she's lost the momentum which she'd gained in the third round.

Round 5:
No more teasing from the Lookout! blonde as she begins to circle around the Welsh girl who in turn looks to continue with her aggressive approach. Still, Alice's footwork remains on top, Charlotte can't close the distance well enough and gets laced with single shots from mid-range as Eve is much more comfortable with that sort of boxing. Church tries to drive low, but fails to raise her guard in time and the single shots from Alice smack her on the face on a repeated basis; the Lookout! blonde with that harrassing and annoying display of boxing, probably a result of hours of extended preparations from her stable. Church looks to close the distance, but gets pegged back instead and loses the momentum alltogether, retreats to the center of the ring and Eve leaps after her, throws more menacing hooks around the head, works some to the midsection. Charlotte begins to breath rather heavily as the blonde's fitness level also seems to be superior. At the bell the Welsh girl is visibly upset, she just can't crack the Lookout! foe down!

Round 6:
Another try from the local girl, she whips a couple of hooks to the body, flicks a shot to the head and catches Alice's temple, but the Lookout! blonde fire back with a jabbing sequence to the guts, pummels the chest and overwhelms the Welsh girl with a sudden flurry of shots in close range. Charlotte wanted this to happen, but now gets the short end of the stick and looks to back away however gets caught with a vicious hook to the stomach and bends in half, allowing Alice to open from both wings. She peppers the briefly stranded Welsh champ nin the middle of the ring much to the crowd's annoyance, single shots around the elbows connect with the ribcage and Charlotte winces in pain as Alice ups the tempo even further, pushes the hapless opponent to the ropes and cleans out her midsection as Church loses the plot, tries to clinch but gets whacked between the gloves, couple of vicious shots lace her on the nose and that Miranda Kerr scenario is suddenly very close to repeating! Crowd urges their girl to hang on and she manages to finally force a clinch late in the going, but Eve just pummelled her for most of the round and is happy to catch some respite as well.

Round 7:
Charlotte's face is reddened badly as she's endured a tough previous round and continues to breath heavily during the interval. Meanwhile Alice looks much better although her breasts also pump up & down in quick fashion. Nonetherless she's fresher of the two and closes on the Welsh rival, probably hoping to avoid that round four mistakes which nearly cost her a lot. Church offers some hooks to the head and body but only grazes the flesh and gets nailed with more shots from mid-range as Alice now finds the target on a regular basis as Church's guard is no longer staying in tact. More blows between the arms; chest, ribs and face force the Welsh champ on the back foot and she looks to break away from the raging blonde opponent. Alice isn't really thta fast across the ring as we've seen some other girls earlier tonight, but it's more than enough to overcome Charlotte's footwork which is clearly suffering in the latter stages of this fight. Church hangs on until the bell but a worrying feeling inside the KO Club is that she'd need to start looking for that haymaker anytime soon!

Round 8:
Same old story, Church steps up early, can't put the Lookout! blonde into real trouble and gets whacked on the chest and body after a brief exchange and retreats from close range hoping for another chance but that never happens. Eve with that intimidating look, just won't yield an inch and she's definitely gotten into her rival's mind. Charlotte wants to do something, gets blocked off easily and countered with single strikes which is still enough for Alice to keep her away for extended period of time. The entire KO Club is puzzled and even they don't know where would that haymaker come from. Church has avoided being decked, but she's struggling badly with fitness, while Alice looks like she can fight twenty rounds here without tiring much. Lookout! Atlantic corner thinks they've got it in the bag, yell at their blonde to take it easy. Unless Church produces the big KO, she's cooked and quite frankly she looks as lost out there as most of the members of the audience.

Round 9:
Alice still with the strictly business approach, no more teasing on her part but Charlotte's keen to knock her out to save the day. She leaps after her and lands a couple of hooks to the breasts, but gets countered to the cheeks; right overhand whacks her clean and wobbles her in the proccess. Alice follows-up with a series to the ribcage and Charlotte gets backed to the ropes, now taking more punishment, paying a heavy prize for the overconfident approach without much merit to it. Eve seizes the opportunity, pulverizes the Welsh girl's midsection, avoids the clinch, whacks her in the jugs with a couple of uppercuts and Church can do nothing about it except for moaning and shrieking in pain. What a humiliation for the local girl. Eve keeps her pinned to the ropes all the way through, can't send her down, but one must wonder if that's all she's got here? Church looks dead on her legs anyway, the methodical but relentless pounding from the Lookout! blonde leaves her nearly sobbing in agony of defeat as she walks slowly towards her stool. Only a miracle can save her now and nobody in the arena believes it's gonna happen.

Round 10:
One last punishment for Charlotte Church as she's a battered loser tonight and there's no other way to describe it. She slowly moves off her corner but quickly retreats as here comes Alice Eve for the kill. The Lookout! girl has been a monster in the ring apart from that fourth round blip. She wore Church out, emptied her tank and now she's got one thing on her mind.... get the cameras ready... Left/right combo shatters the Lioness girl's mitts, series of jabs to the breasts push Charlotte firmly back to the ropes and she's moaning loudly now, hoping for some misery from her opponent, but there's only one thing happening... Left hook on the cheeks, right on the nose, another left on the temple... Alice is beating Charlotte into a pulp here... DOWN GOES THE WELSH CHAMPION face-first on the canvas... Emphatic finish from the blonde visitor... Referee doesn't even bother to start the count, Church is over and done with... KO R10 Alice Eve!!!!

Post-fight:
Crowd is silent at the end of a gruelling night of boxing, some whistles begin to spread around as Alice Eve spits out her mouthpiece and has her gloves removed. Charlotte Church is left motionless on the canvas and the stretcher is soon ready to carry the second member of the Lioness Club off into the locker room after Jorgie Porter beat Jeanette Biedermann senseless earlier tonight. The crowd is stunned, but not annoyed as the fight was turning into a rout for some time before Church was knocked out and there's a general feeling of disappointement rather than anger. Some voices call for Jessica Schwarz to get in line, obviously Charlotte Church - as a second Lioness Club rubber - was not good enough to defeat Alice Eve who made a huge statement tonight. It was a very mature and skillful display from the Lookout! blonde who basically ripped the Welsh bantam champion apart. If there was any conerns whether Lookout! made the correct choice, it's gone now and as Alice has her hand raised by the referee, she glances over at teh crowd with steely eyes and shows little signs of emotions. Many people start to wonder how far she can go in the BBU.

Denise van Outen was hoping to find out whether the Lioness Club will bring Jessica Schwarz against Alice Eve in the near future, but got dragged away by the security people before she could get in touch with the stable owner. The Barnet-based organisation endured a torrid time in front of the home crowd, winning just one bout out of four and seeing two of it's girls stretched off in the proccess. Ahead of the next month's one year anniversary card, there's a lot to think about for the Lioness executives because a repeat of tonight's performance would be nothing short of a disaster.
