Fresh off her unsuccessful FCBA debut against Leven Rambin, Foxfire Atlantic's Rose Byrne looks to perform much better against fellow BBU rookie Tamaryn Payne. Australian-born Byrne is thirteen years the senior but Payne's skills remain a mystery for most of the insiders allthough the age factor might help her to wear the older girl out given the chance. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Rose storms out early, jabs repeatedly at her rival and the younger girl gets shoved around the ring, unable to tame the onslaught. Byrne peppers her from mid-range, finding her mark to the stomach and ribcage while Tamaryn just backs off, throws single shots to the body, but can't get anything going. Intimidating performance from the Foxfire girl who cracks a solid sequence to the guts in the final minute which inflicts some pain and Payne moans loudly, takes more punishment in the dying seconds as Rose pinned her to the ropes and cleaned out her midsection again.

Round 2:
Byrne continues with the aggressive approach, but misses a combo to the head and Payne laces her under the elbows then bangs a hook to the chest and flicks an uppercut to the chin which surprises the older girl. Rose leaps back and beats the younger girl with her footwork. Payne looks more confident after that series and begins to move forward, but can't reach her rival sufficiently enough anymore and Rose swings a couple of hooks around the head which really catch the Maulers' girl's attention. Tamaryn tries some low jabs, but get blocked and Byrne grazes her nose in response, forcing her back and ending the acvtivities for the round.

Round 3:
Both girls circle around each other early, but Rose throws single shots from mid-range, shows more aggression while Payne hangs back. Byrne fakes some low jabs, piles on with hooks to the head moments later and Payne got that all wrong, too slow to react, gets nailed in the mouth twice and a left overhand bangs her on the temple as well... DOWN GOES PAYNE flat on her back as Rose really hit the bullseye with that one!!! Tamaryn doesn't look awfully confident while getting up at seven and Byrne jumps after her, throws more shots to the midsection, pushes the hapless rival to the ropes and cracks uppercuts to the chest, piercing the younger girl's guard and sinking her on the knees for good. Rose opens up from both flanks, smells easy prey and continues to pound Tamaryn's stuffing out. But the bell saves the Maulers' girl allthough she's visibly affected by that round and walks very slowly towards her corner.

Round 4:
Payne remains glued to the ropes, looks to avoid her rival as long as she can, but Rose has other ideas. She quickly squares up to the younger girl, drives low to the ribcage, flicks some uppercuts to the chest and Tamaryn is in all sorts of bother again. Rose pins her along the ropes and throws straight jabs to the head; Payne covers up but her gets rocked under the barrage anyway. Head-snapping punchout on display as Byrne has everything under control now, bangs more unanswered shots and splits Payne's mitts on a regular basis, gives her a very rough treatment and the younger girl moans with every shot landing on her face. It's even painful to watch let alone experience and half-way through the round Tamaryn's knees give way and SHE CRASHES DOWN FACE-FIRST on the canvas, sobbing in pain and looking over and done with. Rose spits out her mouthpiece; thinks likewise and she's right. Payne cannot beat the count and is left horizontal on the floor at ten. KO R4 Rose Byrne!!!

Post-fight:
Rose Byrne brutalized her younger opponent and gave her a terrible beating. Both women are newcomers to boxing but one wouldn't tell the difference in wake of Byrne's vicious punchout of Payne. With Foxfire backing, Rose's future looks promising while Tamaryn must look elsewhere for winning opportunities. Byrne was just too much for her but it's way too early to call Payne a jobber. She should be back with much better results and given her looks one reckons it won't be too long before she returns to action.
