Missy Peregrym versus Rachel Skarsten
(words by Lookout! and results by Anonymous)

Before: Rachel Skarsten hasn't had much FCBA action at all, with her only action coming in a loss to Elizabeth Berkeley back in 2003. However, Rachel's confidence does not seem to be affected as she is due to appear on the Syfy Channel Hit “LOST GIRL” and is looking to springboard on that success with a return to the ring. Some pundits question the choice to return against Missy Peregrym, but Rachel explains: “When you return to the ring, it's go big or go home. Missy has just suffered two heart breaking losses in a row and guess what? I think she's vulnerable. Those losses will play on her mind and that will allow me to take it to her body!” A blonde ingenue looking to take a brunette fighter when they're down. How will Missy respond?

“If girls like Rachel or Kaley or anybody else thinks I'm vulnerable, they're going to find out otherwise!” Missy proclaims angrily, “Just watch and see.” Missy's nostrils flared and she refused to say anything else, even to a number of reporters who asked about Jessica Biel. The determined look in her eyes said quite enough.

Missy wearing a white bikini top and blue shorts with white gloves; Rachel wearing a light yellow bikini top with matching shorts and gloves. The two of them manage to touch gloves without incident.

R1: As promised before the match, Rachel is very aggressive. Coming forward out of the crouch, she pounces forward for jabs and hooks to Missy's torso, doing her best to bob to make Missy miss as Peregrym comes forward with hard-hitting shots of her own. Skarsten coming forward, poking at Missy's defenses to try to slam in some straight jabs to her face, eager to rock her early but Missy settles down. In the middle minute, however, it's Peregrym who finds the face first, slamming into Skarsten's cheek with an overhead right that slips over her guard. Peregrym dictates the tempo from that point on, just sending rights and lefts towards Skarsten's face and then towards her ribs, eager to send leather tasting into her tummy. Rachel is butt-in-ropes at the bell, still sending out a jab here and there but Missy sponging up the blows and pounding at Skarsten's abs as the bell rings.

R2: Missy picks up right where she left off the previous round, showing off some speed to push Skarsten back into her corner. Skarsten manages to fight free of her corner, slugging towards Missy with wild punches, though Peregrym displays good footwork to ensure few of them connect. The few that do though manage to hit very hard, but Missy keeps coming forward. Skarsten pushes out of the corner, but Missy corrals her along the ropes with some hard jabs. Rangy jabs that lick off of her cheek, swiveling her head and as she stumbles, Missy lights up her ribs as well. Skarsten is butt-in-ropes as Skarsten pushes off, trying to bump shoulders and force Missy backwards. Missy gives Skarsten a slight bit of room, sending a hard left to her ribs and as Skarsten pushes off the ropes, she swings her right in a hook. Missy sidesteps and then picks Rachel up with a sudden one-two combination to her tummy, followed by a tidy little uppercut that clips her chin and as a result, Rachel is sent nose-diving to the canvas. Crashing face-first as she cradles her tummy, gasping for air as Missy heads back to her corner. Missy waits for Skarsten to get back up, but although she makes a valiant attempt, Rachel can't get up. Shuddering back to the canvas as she coughs for air, shaking her head back and forth. Missy Peregrym is awarded the match via a surprising KO2 as Skarsten hits a roadblock in her return to the FCBA.

After: Missy Peregrym walks away from an unconscious Rachel on the canvas and shrugs, “What can I say? Rachel picked a bad night to come back. I've never lost three in a row and tonight wasn't going to the night. Not against her. I hope Rachel finds better luck against her next opponent, but when I'm focused like I was tonight, I'm not going to be stopped. Rachel learned that and I plan on teaching others all about that very soon.” Reporters swiftly asked about who the others would be, but a frosty glance from Missy dissuaded them as Missy left. After Missy headed to join the rest of her roster at the party, discussion centered around the complete lack of vulnerability shown by Missy tonight and what that would bode for the others on Missy's list, whoever they might be.
