BEFORE. "I am here to win this fight! I am here to show Virginie how a real Champion behaves -I can tell you, I was really disappointed she did not consider the fight with me -this very fight- worth preparing. She issues a few challenges to random fighters in the meanwhile, showing no interest whatsoever towards my fight. Bad for her. She will pay, and you will see how!" Ledoyen frowning, opening her mouth in disbelief: "Hey I simply issued ONE challenge, to ONE fighter, who did not accept it by the way.. so I am going to reassure Kara, I did prepare for this fight.. and I am prepared to win!" Tointon younger, Ledoyen more experienced -good starting points for a great fight.

R1. Ledoyen out with a good tempo here -she puts Tointon on her heels, forcing her to run around to avoid Virginie's punches. Within the first minute, Virginie catches Kara with a right hook, then follows with a left straight cross AND KARA GOES DOWN! Caught by surprise, the Brit opponent stumbles on her butt, promptly rising but showing a little inexperience here. Virginie does not let her go, immediately attacking Kara after the early knockdown, but the British girls is not done for sure! Virignie tries the hook again, Kata ducks, then gets closer to hit Virginie's ribcage. Ledoyen steps back, Kara follows her with a right hook that Virignie blocks, but Kara stuns her again at the midsection with a straight left. Tpinton doesn't let Virginie go, follows her closely, effectively stopping Ledoyen's attacks and forcing her on the defensive. Last minute, it's all Tointon -Ledoyen beaten soundly as she is unable to get any offensive power on her Brit opponent. Early knock down gives a lead to Virginie, but Kara is clearly in the game now.

R2. Viginie gets some advice in her corner, and she tries to get more distance between her and Kara. However, it's the Brit girl that comes back, forcing Virginie to brawl, scoring points at her chest and almost managing to deliver a very dangerous uppercut to Virginie's chin. Ledoyen finally steps back, jab peppering Kara's mitts, and then the right hook hits again! Kara immediately trying to react, but Virginie doesn't let her come closer and pours in with two punches to the ribcage, followed by a right cross that passes just left of Kara's ear. Tointon answers with her right, but it's her turn to miss and this gives Virginie the chance to hit her again! Right hook makes more damage, sending Tointon backwards, and then a right punch finds Tointon's head. Kara with her back on the ropes, Virginie working at her body, then it's the right uppercut that puts Kara wobbly legs and butt! Kara leans forward to clinch, but Virginie again unleashes the right hook, and Kara opens her guard. Virginie seizes the moment, left hand on Kara's shoulder pulling the Brit fighter towards her for a right uppercut and BAM, KARA GOES DOWN! Tointon collapses on her knees, then flops on her right side as the ref starts to count and -oh no, she falls down! GOOD LORD, IT'S OVER -Virginie Ledoyen retained her title by a quick, brutal KO2.

AFTER. Kara caught by inexperience here -she showed good things in the first round, but she paid a great toll for a few mistakes in the second round. "You see, who was the one not hitting the gym, uh? Ledoyen brags in the post-fight interview- She went on and on with the accusations, and now she goes down -not a lot left in her now, I guess! Now Coleman, are you still hiding?" Whether Jenna Louise Coleman will accept a non-title fight with Ledoyen is still to determine, but Virginie surely made the point that she's still a force in BBU tonight.
