(LIONESS CLUB VS GINNY'S ACADEMY)

One of the living legends of the FCBA, Catherine Bell couldn't refuse an opportunity to return to the place where she was born and it's a real honor for the London-based Lioness Club as she chose buxom blonde model from Liverpool, Alex Curran as her opponent. Bell is poised to serve as a brain trust of the high-profile "Charlize Theron challenge" which might keep her away from the ring back in the States until that event concludes, but before she goes back there, it's Alex Curran's time to share some spotlight with the fearsome brunette veteran who despite being 14 years her senior must be considered a heavy favorite tonight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Bell tests the blonde's strenght with some early jabbing to the body, swings around her head but Alex is wary of the threat, ducks and leaps around the brunette, throws single shots from mid-range as Catherine works the left straight but menaces around with a right follow-up, smacks the blonde's guard repeatedly and forces her into more circling around. Methodical display from Bell who doesn't ignite much speed yet as Alex looks slightly overwhelmed by the opportunity and keeps it safety first during the opening round.

Round 2:
More jabbing from the left by Bell which peppers the high guard; Curran with single shots in response but she barely grazes the flesh and doesn't show much aggression as Catherine seems equally happy with low-key punching from mid-range almost waiting for the blonde to make her move. It doesn't materialize quickly and Bell is forced to up the tempo herself, she throws more jabs to the ribs, catches the arms but an immediate uppercut follows, smacks the blonde on the chin... NOT.. as Alex had that covered and kept her gloves glued together. Curran counters over the top, but crashes off the gloves herself and there's a smile on Catherine's face almost like she hoped for Alex to fail to spot that uppercut switch and dodged the first real bullet aimed at her. Both women settle into single jabbing from mid-range in the final minute, not much pace nor vicious stuff on hand and the bout turns into a cagey welter scrap already, perhaps destined for a one-punch finish as Bell looks very composed with Curran extremely focused on her part.

Round 3:
Still safety first for the blonde model who throws single jabs to the body, flicks some hooks to the head but Cat's hardly impressed. She begins to unload some hooks to the body herself, looks to find a way through the model's guard but peppers the forearms for most of the round and misses her efforts to the head as Alex keeps ducking and weaving around her. Quick burst of speed from Bell in the final minute; she nails Alex between the arms, closes her down and unloads vicious hooks from both flanks, bangs her on the cheeks and wobbles on her feet as the guard got pierced badly for the first time tonight. More left jabs over the top, Bell looks to make some inroads and whacks her rival in the ribs as Curran clinches and bangs the brunette with some low jabs but Cat just shoves her away, shows some great strenght and snaps her head back with couple of straight jabs on the eye, forces the model to circle away and the veteran looks bemused at the bell, stares down at the Merseyside blonde who turns back and slides down on her stool breathing heavily after a tough final minute.

Round 4:
Bell on the move; fakes some low jabs, clubs the model with a big left on the temple but Alex responds with a flurry of straight jabs to the head. Catherine gets tagged on the cheeks however ducks under more hooks and counters to the chest, whacks the blonde with a half-uppercut, throws an overhand right that catches Curran on the temple again and wobbles her back. More straight jabs on the head follow and the model's guard begins to buckle as the brunette unloads some vicious power, prevents her from clinching and pushes her back to the ropes with more shots to the head as Alex manages to escape getting trapped along the ropes but Bell shows more agility with her footwork, semingly eager to drop the cat and mouse games at last. Curran continues to weave around the ropes; gets laced repeatedly on the body and is forced to fight on her opponent's terms now.

Round 5:
Enough is enough for the veteran brunette and she finally leaps after her blonde foe, whacks her in the cheek with a left hook, throws more jabs to the stomach but Alex holds her low guard well and prevents Cat from inflicting serious damage. Bell keeps firing away at her midsection though, matches the blonde's footwork and bullies her around with accurate single striking to the body. Curran leaps around her, throws some shots in response but hardly grazes the brunette who's intimidating presence really starts to play on her mind. Bell seemingly aware of that issue, keeps the high-tempo jabbing but hasn't been close to landing that one-punch haymaker just yet. Alex strikes over the top, laces Catherine in the ribs before getting smacked with a big right between the arms and she leaps back to the ropes in avoidance, remains on the backfoot until the bell and Bell is just impossible to break down here.

Round 6:
Some words of advice from coach Gina Wild in the Lioness corner and Alex comes forward, lands some jabs to the ribs, flicks couple of hooks on the cheeks but Bell shrugs them off in no time, counters immediately and snaps the model's head back with a jabbing series herself, whips a right hook dangerously close to her ear, reverts to single jabbing over the top, keeps Curran under pressure and as the rounds goes by, the model is visibly getting slower, struggles to avoid the brunette leather on a repeated basis, gets laced in the body and head as Bell mercilessly wears her out. Inside the final minute the Merseyside blonde is on walking pace and Bell nails her ferociously in the ribs, bends her to the side and leaves moaning in pain. Curran is getting a real handful of leather late on as Catherine just peppers her between the arms and flicks more jabs to the head. Alex is slow to raise her arms, can't prevent from having her head snapping around under a ruthless barrage and Cat doesn't look like she's trying that hard; she just breaks through Alex's guard with ease and sinks her on her knees. At the bell Alex's face is bruised badly as Catherine nods her head in approval, probably happy with the way her rival looks like and Curran looks to be running on empty, the veteran brunette just wore her out in very devoted fashion.

Round 7:
Alex tries to land some jabs but she's very slow, unable to make it count and eats a big right overhand instead; Bell jumps up to her and goes around the gloves, nails her on the ear, follows up with a left on the temple and allthough the buxom model wants to leap away into safety, Catherine whacks her on the breasts, splits her mitts and lands a stiff jab to the mouth and flicks another quick left on the chin before Alex can protect herself again. Bell has none of it though and nails the aching blonde on the eye, pours in with more jabs to the guts, pushes her to the ropes and snaps her head back with another jabbing series. Curran just moans in pain, covers up but Bell whacks her on the mitts, gutwrenches with a low hook and bends in half seconds later. Alex leans forward but eats more leather with couple of jabs to the mouth and a quick left hook on the temple SENDS THE BLONDE MODEL CRASHING DOWN ON HER KNEES; just unable to handle the barrage any longer. She manages to get up at seven, but breaths very heavily and doesn't look in the best of shapes at all. Bell is quick to pounce, snaps her head back with a series to the mouth, poor Alex can't keep her guard in tact anymore, eats more leather and her face is all lumped up under the onslaught; the brunette beats her for pace and precision, nails on the nose with a big right uppercut and blood starts to pour from the nostrils as CURRAN SLIDES DOWN ON THE CANVAS, literally thumped into the ground by Bell's vicious power. Alex is just a battered mess here but she desperately wants to beat the count, helps herself by the ropes and gets up at nine only to see the ref wave the fight away moments later. The proud model took a horrible beating in the previous couple of rounds and she doesn't even protest that decision too much; she knows the brunette would have brutally knocked her out if the ref didn't prevent it from happenning. TKO R7 Catherine Bell !!!

Post-fight:
Laid-back performance from the FCBA legend until the fifth round where she finally unloaded some power and basically wrecked her younger opponent in quick and vicious fashion. Alex held her own for quite some time and was on course to perhaps last the distance which would be a huge result itself, but Catherine had more aces up her sleeves and stamped her superiority over the talented and determined rival in the end.

Catherine Bell completes the Ginny's Academy double to conclude the Lioness Club One Year Anniversary and together with Elizabeth Olsen receives a standing ovation from the KO Club audience. All the girls which participated in tonight's event are invited to the backstage VIP party where celebrations are held until the dawn even though the Lioness members only won six of sixteen fights during the anniversary event. The glamour factor featured in this show is far more important and the London based stable thrives on giving the fans of female celebrity boxing as many exciting match-ups as possible regardless of the eventual outcome.
