Kristen Kreuk (Beauty & The Beast) versus Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries)

First up was a flyweight battle between Kat Graham and Kristin Kreuk. Kat Graham had established herself on the Vampire Diaries and was definitely one of the more competitive individuals on the network. However, Kristin Kreuk was an FCBA regular and had been one of the CW's biggest stars previously on Smallville. Kreuk's competitions – on and off the set - with the likes of Allison Mack and Erica Durance were the stuff of CW legend. Kat Graham was eager to establish a legend of her own – a fact which she made abundantly clear in pre-fight interviews. “Kristen Kreuk is part of the CW's past – why they're bringing her back is a mystery to me. But, a bigger mystery is why they're putting her in the ring with me at all. I'm stronger, better and it's time for her to understand that the future is now. That's me!!” Kristin Kreuk looking like the Cheshire cat at the podium as she states with a grin, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. And those who can't respect the past, are condemned to receive a beating from me.” That little remark sets off some pre-fight shoving amidst a squeal of outrage from Graham – referee forced to intervene.

R1: It's clear from the start that Graham is very determined to take down Kreuk – practically exploding from her corner as she sprints in to hammer away at Kreuk. Kristin appears to be caught off guard from what appears to be a stronger Graham – visibly stronger – as Kreuk initially suffers under her assault. Graham coming forward with stiff compact jabs and lashing out with right and left hands that force Kreuk backwards. Graham controls most of the round with aggressive jabs and hooks that pound away at Kreuk's torso and jugs – demonstrating no respect. However, Kreuk is competitive throughout the round – bobbing and weaving – fighting back with clever counterpunching and jabs to Graham's abs to keep her opponent from getting into a steady rhythm. Late in the round, Kreuk manages to bob away from a looping right hook, then just busting Graham up along her body. A sizzling series of right and left hooks to Graham's torso, ribs and a few powerful jabs towards her foe's head/shoulders have Kat covering up along the ropes at the bell.. It's a sudden and sneaky display of power that allows Kreuk to steal the round.

R2: Graham visibly frustrated in her corner in between rounds and comes out firing away, eager to take out that frustration on Kreuk. Both fighters battling furiously along the ropes, pounding away at one another as they trade off with hard-hitting jabs and short, compact jabs whipping at one another's ribcages. Graham keeps pounding away – occasionally trading away up top with some stamping rights and lefts to batter away at Kristen's face. Kreuk still working on Graham's body – working her gloves in short, steady rights and lefts. Unable to get much momentum going as Graham keeps slamming in her gloves, just steadily bullying Kreuk back into the ropes. Kreuk is getting overpowered, outworked and just outfought this round in a blistering display from Graham. Graham made the mistake last round of letting up on Kreuk, but is not about to repeat that in this round as she has Kreuk butt-in-ropes at the end of the round – absorbing a beating from Graham who is disrespectfully directing her jabs at Kreuk's rack again in an effort to humble her. Graham and Kreuk are separated as Graham storms back to her corner and takes the round.

R3: Kreuk is the one who comes sprinting out of her corner, just resuming her work on Graham's tummy, slamming in speedy jabs that have Graham's doubling over, slightly breathless. Graham not about to relent either – pounding away at Kristin's body with more of those short-compact jabs that whack away at Kristin's abs and body. Those combinations of blows have Kreuk backing up slightly, but Kreuk doesn't cease working on Kat's abs and suddenly, two of her shots ends up hammering in slightly 'low' – twice in quick succession – right into Graham's trunks early in the round. Graham cries out foul as Kreuk looks over at the ref, bringing her hands up in a “who me?” gesture. The ref issues a warning, but it appears the damage is done. The early fouls have Graham in a bad way, stumbling right into a right cross from Kreuk as Kristin hops in – eager to hammer away at her foe. Kreuk feeding Kat a steady diet of punches – whirling away at a determined but dazed Graham. Kreuk lathering away at Graham – licking away with her fists battering at Graham's jugs, tummy and face. The ref keeps watching as Graham is taking the beating from Kreuk, who is slamming her gloves in without mercy, with Kat showing no signs of going down. However, as she covers up, she also is showing no signs of competition as she slumps butt-in-ropes and the ref pulls a snarling Kreuk off of Kat to award her the win via TKO3.

After: Kat bitterly complaining to the ref about the foul after she recovers, pointing to her trunks as she demands a rematch. The ref discussing the matter with her when Kreuk pushes her way in, just shoving Graham back into her own turnbuckle. Kat shoved roughly into the turnbuckle as she gasps, arms thrown up over the middle ropes as she tries to push herself to her feet but Kreuk is determined now to demonstrate why the CW brought her back and eager to assert herself once again against the competition. Kreuk mounts her defeated opponent, making sure that Kat gets a good faceful of tummy. Milking the moment for all its worth as she beams into the crowd, just gliding her abs back and forth. Hands gripping a fistful of hair, having to frequently bat down Kat's resistance and hands, pushing her further down slumping into the turnbuckle. Managing Kat's face – scrubbing her face against her taut tummy and occasionally pressing her trunks against Kat's face as Graham is dazed and dispirited by the end of the treatment. The ref finally does step in – perhaps too late – pulling Kreuk off of Graham as the CW PPV gets off to a very competitive and heated start. Kreuk walks off with a grin – ignoring taunts from Hayden Panettiere and Lucy Hale as she heads out victorious in her return to the CW.
