BEFORE: Vaugier as skilled as she is alluring, but pundits wonder if she can make up the size-stagger on Lively. "It's an issue," Emmanuelle shrugs, "but it's not a decisive issue. Speed beats size; skill multiplies speed...if anything, I'm wondering if Lively's bitten off more than she can chew here."

Lively well aware of Vaugier's rep, but lovely young "Theron-slayer" remains undaunted. "I expect to win," Blake says crisply in prefight. "Vaugier's slick and confident, but I'll beat that out of her early. After that, I'll take what I want, and as you guys know - I'm insatiable when it comes to punishing my opponents! Emmanuelle doesn't usually look her age in fights...get ready to see something new from her in this one."

Vaugier keeping up a steady banter - telling Blake: "They sent a girl to do a woman's job". Even, tactical stuff until very late...Blake able to lean into a slinging right to chin, extending with power and putting Vaugier wobbly butt at bell. Cool look of triumph blonde to brunette...Lively ekes out the first with the round's best punch.

R2: Emmanuelle circling, initiating...Blake covering up tight as brunette steps in: Vaugier snaps hands off flanks, snatching viciously at Blake's body as blonde girl stands up strong in the pocket. Vaugier getting off tic-tac-toe, then withdrawing...Lively generally cast in the role of cautious pursuer. Blake getting the odd jab on target; placing one good shoveling right to belly during a Vaugier penetration - but it's Emmanuelle's legs dictating terms through 2.

R3: Similar stuff - Blake covering up tight, trusting her body against Vaugier's swift, clawing lefts and rights, then trying to issue receipts before brunette can escape. Good pace - both girls having moments...down the stretch, Blake gets caught trading at close range with quick-mitted Vaugier - blonde girl beaten to tidy lefts and rights in swiping combination to chin. Lively sputtering backwards out of orbit, eyes alarmed as her legs give way...bell sounds before Vaugier can pounce and pile on.

R4: Ryan apoplectic ringside - shrieking for Blake to jab and move forward...Lively covering up tight, holding elbows close to body, allowing Vaugier to rake her upstairs and down. Emmanuelle in and out - tearing at flank-ribs and tummy - sidestepping to turn her blonde. Lively hurting, listless, unable to get off...she's just rotating-with, absorbing as fight becomes a bit of a one-sided beating. Latter half the round, Vaugier lighting Blake up to the body riki-tikki-tavi, then scraping a tight interior uppercut - starting to score between Blake's loosening gloves. Long blonde legs hold Lively up, but she's discouraged - head jerking back off her gloves as Vaugier bangs away to glory through 4. Bell: Vauger snipes, "Jugs're next B." Lively frowning, visibly wobbly-butt en route to corner.

R5: Emmanuelle pursing her lips, doing little dance-steps on the spot - slipping as Blake paws jabs, then countering viciously via either hand to jug. Lively's composure breaks a minute in - too many clean, pounding single-shot counters to rack...blonde girl backs away heartbroken as brunette walks in. Ropes...Blake forms forward-stooping face-in-gloves...Vaugier rips at long blonde body without mercy. Emmanuelle nice n' tidy - elbows in - mitts bouncing tasty off Lively's chassis, paralyzing her legs. Blonde girl drooping, standing for the siege...Vaugier's uppercuts start shredding the guard, slamming to a halt on Blake's overhanging face. Punishment adds up...nothing back from Lively as Vaugier systematically reduces her...blonde girl sprawls lanky against ropes, hair in her eyes, lips parted. Emmanuelle relaxed, active - leaning in to paste lefts and rights to face and breasts - business-like hup-hup-hup punching finally dropping Lively to her back, parallel to ropes in stupor. Blake sniveling, pulling herself up at 10, but ref waves this off, cuddling a blubbering blonde to safety. TKO5 in clinical fashion, Emmenuelle Vaugier.

AFter: Movie Star Blake Lively taken apart by genre gym-rat Vaugier...less boxing-knowledgeable mainstream press hyper-critical of blonde stunner as Vaugier's more of an "inside boxing" name.
