BEFORE: Theron resplendent in prefight - press clustered around her like a royal court. Choice of Milena hidden from Charlize until the last minute...champ's unconcerned. "I knew it would be a big, ham-handed brute," Theron shrugs. "They want to hurt me early - we know that - so my training really hasn't been effected. Milena's maybe their strongest girl, but she's crude, has little or no skill, and you always have to worry about her esteem issues when she's in with the upper-crust. I can see that tell-tale look in Govich's eyes when she steals little glances at me. The "I'm Not Worthy" look. Happens to the best of 'em!"

Govich staying poised throughout all conferences, refusing to be over-awed by the Theron circus. "I'm focussed 100% on her body," Milena says at podium. "I absolutely, positively have to take her legs out of the fight, and to do that, I have to beat that ribcage of hers like a drum. She's a girl who can definitely beat you with her legs, so I can't fool around. As much as I want to punch the smug right off her face, I have to be disciplined. Clubbing blast clouts CT ear to chin on left-side...blonde girl staggers out of orbit, stepping in fence post holes as Govich palms golden hips, drives Theron to ropes. Grim siege of Charlize results...Theron laying on ropes with hands palm-out at temples, grimacing as Milena butts scalp into fleshy Theron tits, brunette shoulders rolling, pounding home the body blows. CT cuffing and clouting counters off the ropes - swatting Milena about either ear...occasionally stooping to get the left shoulder in under Govich to lever her back so brunette belly may be hooked. Bell: Govich slick with sweat as she pushes off an open-mouthed Theron...Charlize with blonde hair across her eyes, looking frazzled.

R3: Opening moves - CT cute with the counter-hook, pre-empting an on-rushing Milena to chin while pivoting clockwise...Govich startled, stumbling to find her feet...Theron positioned off the Govich right flank leans in with the straight right to cheek, then a rising, batting straight-arm right to chin as Milena's stumbling awkwardly to brunette left and GOVICH GOES DOWN! Angular power does the trick - Milena scrambling quickly up, ready to go right away, but CT's smiling as Govich takes 8. Resume: CT striding to midring, assuming forward aspect with weight on left (front) leg; right heel up off canvas; elbows in/hands up. Stiff jabs/quick clockwise pivots from Theron - she's dotting Milena's hairline, keeping her outside. QUICK right hands follow in unpredictable rhythms - stitching in off the jab to touch Milena sharp one-twos. CT at her classy best - circling her girl, turning her...Milena subdued, crouching and blocking, but looking completely bamboozled. Bell: Serene Aphrodite smile from Charlize as she looks things over...she's hurt Milena, shut her out in the third.

R4: Milena all tummy, tits and bum, rushing up the middle, wrapping CT, tackling her to ropes, creating ugly, sloppy fighting conditions. Theron clinching best she can, but she's getting ragdolled - Milena's backside shuddering side to side as she crowds Theron to ropes, pressing on her, smearing her. Job of work for grimacing CT to get her arms in under Milena's arms, trying to wrestle-reverse along the apron...Govich forcing sleek blonde body and legs to push and struggle against the weight. Catch-as-catch-can punching from either woman as they hold and hit and squirm for position...ref working up quite a sweat reaching in, pushing bodies apart, and issuing warnings both ways.

R5: First minute pressure for Milena - she drives CT to ropes, bends her back over top strand and BLUDGEONS Theron's chest a right hand hammer-chop, bringing in the ref. Theron grimacing, getting scuffed up, but she gets on her toes, starts showing off her legs. Counter-clockwise, skipping gait for CT, turning Milena's left flank; touching Milena a spitting, double-dip left jab; surprising Milena with that slick, sudden slap-chop right. CT often changing directions - using the left hand to push Milena behind right elbow while sidestepping-left...Govich frustrated, lumping up nicely as Theron weaves her magic through 5.

R6: First-minute pressure from Milena - she drives CT to ropes, bends her back over that top strand, mauling and bullying her until ref's break. Theron frowning, looking concerned...Govich fighting gangsta-rough, forcing a thoroughbred-blonde to run in mud. Charlize fighting well in retreat, issuing the check-jab, walking Milena into the short right hand, but it's Govich simply avalanching herself into CT, stampeding her to ropes. Down the stretch, Milena's scalp brushes and bullies CT's chest while fists plunder ribs and tummy underneath...Milena keeping elbows in, hands in ready-position at chest as she bobs on the spot, working hard to bell. Theron mouth-breathing, frazzled, walking to corner hands-on-hips after a grinding sixth.

R7: Theron's head whip-lolling as she's driven hard to ropes again...Milena atop Charlize, pushing with head and crossed-arms, punching with both hands, then pushing to stack again. Theron ragdolled, unable to escape...blonde hair across her eyes, lips parted as punishment accrues. Theron pulling Milena's head down, trying to tie up an arm...brunette wriggling, staying busy, wrestling her arms into the clear and working the body. Bell to bell Milena atop Charlize...Theron able to endure it, but she's breathing hard, looking shabby through 7.

R8: First-minute pressure successful AGAIN for Milena...she crushes Charlize to ropes, bending her roughly over top strand, bludgeoning down on her with hammerfists and forearms. Theron bullied and battered, but fighting back...she can't get out from under, but she's leaning forward with left shoulder, looking to push for room, then fit Milena for lapping uppercuts. Brunette fielding clout about tummy, tits and chin...Govich takes it well, retains position, continues to brawl off CT's chest. Down the stretch, Theron lofting a right uppercut from her thigh as she lays back on ropes - she eats a CRUSHING overhand right to face that cuts power to her knees! BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Crashing blast implodes Theron onto her haunches - torso lolling into ropes - Govich roaring down as ref bodies her back. CT terribly hurt, but reaching into ropes, pulling herself up on macaroni-legs to beat the count! Bell: Theron swaying on the spot, rickety back to her stool; Govich bellowing, pounding her chest, really showing emotion through 8.

R9: THERON RALLIES! CT desperately hurt, but showing championship heart...she assumes loose forward aspect, rotates clockwise behind the jab, spreading Govich out. Milena too excited, lunging for Theron's chin with opportunistic haymakers...bendy-backed blonde able to lean out of range, then cuff hooks/drop short right hand stingers to score off the counter. Govich unable to land good leather, but she shoots-in, wraps up around the ribs, drives CT to ropes, making her take weight. Theron tying up groggily, hanging on for ref's breaks; getting them; re-establishing her boxing. Down the stretch, CT pinned to ropes, tying up Govich head-and-left-arm as Milena's crowding close. Unable to see, Milena's punching pesky right hands up out of the scrum onto Theron's jaw - prompting weary Theron to whine at ref for break.

R10: First-minute pressure compresses Theron to ropes: CT whining in protest, hair swept across closed eyes, lips parted. Milena slamming away to glory, head on CT's chest while fists churn front-crawl style over the top, trying for face, or shove brutally to waistline. Theron groaning, legs shot at last...she's reaching in under Milena's arms, trying to wrestle her off...Govich writhing to get hands free, continuing to plunder midsection and ribs. Sloppy, stop-and-go stuff - Govich smearing blonde-girl along ropes, suffocating her, battering her. Milena warned for bending CT over top rope and fetching her overhand right forearms across jug...it's brutal and hurtful, but effective as baseball bats. Bell: Milena lost in Theron-hate, just pushing and punching...ref pulls bully off her blonde and this one goes to cards. Comes back one point duke for the winner and NEW welterweight champ - Milena freakin' Govich!

AFter: Theron gobsmacked - battered, disheveled goddess stares in groggy disbelief as her belts are presented to one of the most obscure names in all boxing. Govich crying happy tears...carefully nurtured and positioned by Bonzo for years - Milena capitalizes on the crusade to score her greatest ambition. "I can't really believe this just yet," Govich gulps in postfight. "Just to compete against Theron, let alone beat her, let alone start the Crusade off on the right foot, let alone TAKING THE TITLE from her...I can't process it. The Crusade wasn't a huge deal for us - it put us in the hunt, but really, it was a Theron fight and we treated it as such. I never saw my job as being a sacrificial lamb - just in there to soften Charlize up for the bigger name girls...I always wanted to go in there and win. I'm welterweight champ now and I'm gonna RULE! With the title comes the fights, and I'm finally going to get to show my stuff!" Big name luminaries like Zeta Jones in the ring with congratulations for Milena...shocking victory doesn't just put physical mileage on Charlize, it applies psychological pressure right from the start, emboldening the rest of the Crusade competitors.
