Prefight

The Audience is excited as the much hyped Main Event, is finally about to start. The fans are about to witness are rare treat. Two welterweight beauties, are about to battle it out in the ring. Both women are 59 kg and of roughly equal weight. Gemma, can make lads heads turn, as a blonde or brunette. Gemma claims, she will be a blonde tonight, to show up the blonde headed Alex Curran. Both the blondes are in their prime, at 26, and 30 years young. Alex, is a very talented TV actress, model, and Gemma is a well known model and actress as well. Neither girl has had as much success out of the ring as they have in it, unfortunately.

Anytime two welters, with their size, and natural punching power, square off, the arena, fills fast as the drama builds, ratcheting up the pressure, on the participants. The desire to win a match of this magnitude, usually propels the winner, to grow as a professional boxer, to new heights, just from having the toughness and heart it takes to win a match, under the intense scrutiny, and the roller coaster ride of high’s and low’s the media buzz creates before and after the event. The loser, of a hard hitting prize fight, usually, shrivels up and fades away, only to forever shy away from the big, blinding, bright lights, as the downward spiral begins. There is nothing worse than to be savagely beaten, and knocked out, by a stronger, more powerful, opponent, and then have to fall beneath them, watching them climb one step closer, to the top of the championship ladder, leaving the loser with the what if, empty feeling for the rest of their washed up careers.

The Manchester crowd, is pro Gemma Atkinson, and they cheer, for her, because she is born and raised in Manchester, she is one of them. Gemma, sits back in her dressing room, as her trainers, tape up her hands, and the event manager is breaking the disappointing news to Gemma, that she must arrive into the ring first, as the underdog in front of her hometown fans. Apparently Alex, scored the first jab, in this Main Event, by flirting with the event manager, and she lands the first punch in this match, even though, it’s a small one, they all add up in this physical and mental type of war.

Gemma, was very agitated, to hear this, and immediately walked out, as if she were unfazed by the news, and she’s smiling big, as she walks to the arena with her 2-8 record, blowing kisses to her fans, with her hair blonde, like she promised, with her bangs loose, hanging loose just above her eyes. She is wearing solid black bra and panties, with a little white bow, tied just below her cleavage, and two white bows, on her panties, her bra and panties also have a pattern of white dots, that seem to hypnotize you, as it draws your eyes directly to her goods, so to speak. I also have to mention, the bra and panties also have some sexy lace around them. Gemma, looks mesmerizingly beautiful. Gemma’s long tanned and firm legs, have a shimmering oil, showcasing them perfectly, as they drop jaws, in awe, with every step, she takes, in her sexy black and white heels.

Alex Curran, leaves heading down the aisles in a dressed to kill in the black version of the barely there lingerie style mini dress with a train, that she stirred up a lot of buzz in, recently at a black tie event. Cheryl Cole, sitting ringside, is still fuming that she copied, her wardrobe, at the event, and had the audacity to wear it again tonight. In many fight fans, and show business minds, Alex outshined Cheryl again. She accessorized the dress with a fierce pair of multi-strap high-heeled sandals and wore her beautiful blonde hair swept to the side in a messy up do. Unfortunately, Alex could not outshine, the gorgeous Gemma Atkinson, because, after a few strides in her black sandals, the crowd, couldn’t keep their attention away from Gemma, neither could I. Alex, gave back whatever mental advantage she had gained by making Gemma walk first, when she failed to look half as hot as Gemma.

The girls, are kicking their heels off, and about to lace their boots up, when Alex, rips her train, and dress off, showing her red-hot body off, in a red side bikini, and a red bra, that has the yellow Liverpool shield symbol on each of her breasts. If I weren't in Manchester pavilion , I would call the fashion show an even draw now, but since, I am, Gemma, wins by the slimmest of margins.

ROUND 1

Both ladies, approach the center of the ring, sizing each other up. Both blondes, circle slow, then, bounce a little, trying to work out the butterflies and early stage fright from such a big fight. Alex, appears to be the loosest of the two, as she wades and fires a right hand that, is full of steam, but is blocked by Gemma, and the sound of the gloves, smashing one another, were horrifically thunderous, and Gemma, snaps a speedy jab, that connects. Alex, raises her left to try and avoid any more of those. When Gemma, decides to lean in and land a lunging right stab to Alex’s body. Alex, circles back around , and misses with her right hand, and is off balance, because her left foot wasn’t planted, quite right, as Gemma, lands a left baby hook, that Alex, quickly recovers from, and steps back, raising her guard up high again, anticipating that Gemma, will attempt a lunging stab again, but it doesn’t come, Gemma, has been working to break any patterns after realizing that she had several bad tendencies, during her long and tiring film studies for this bout. Alex, is bouncing on her tit’s, I meant, toes, (the crowd is intensely watching them, just as I am) and fires a right hand that doesn’t get through Gemma’s improved guard, but catches Gemma with the same hand, as she steps right up into the Gemma’s jab, but lands a bigger punch, and it rattles Gemma, a bit, and Alex is able to land one, two , three, nice body shots. The third one caught Gemma’s elbow as it dropped to cover up, allowing Gemma to tangle the two up and avoid any further danger this round as the bell sounds, ending a good, low risk, low reward, defensive heavy fight. Alex, landed few more punches, and was a tad bit more aggressive, so she deserves the first one, 10-9.

ROUND 2

The fight has a championship feel to it, even though it is far from it, the crowd has high expectations, further down the road, for both of these two beautiful young ladies, it seems. Gemma, starts out very slow, appearing to let Alex, dictate the pace again, when she suddenly unleashes a left hook to Alex’s head, that was mostly blocked, but lands that sharp, stabbing right hand again, into Alex’s tummy. Alex, turns and gets out any further danger, stepping back, but catches a big right hand, as Gemma, pivoted her foot, and anticipated that, Alex would come right up into, her jabbing alley again, and it hurt Alex, and she is tough as she fights her way out of danger again, when she steps up and takes the stiff jab to her jaw, but lands the left hook just as it lands. The hook hurts Gemma, and she can’t block, the shifty Alex, when she starts an assault, that starts with a right cross, followed by a left hook to Gemma’s body, that instantly took her breath, and left her flat footed, as Alex, has her way the rest of the round. Gemma’s lips are busted and she definitely has a blackish looking eye, as she just felt the wrath of Alex’s power, and is very lucky that, Alex didn’t get that assault going earlier in the round! That was a round of Welterweight heavy hitting at it’s finest, with both girls, having displayed good defense. Unfortunately, someone has to lose the round though, and that would be Gemma, as she now trails, 20-18, but is still definitely very capable of winning or scoring the KO, at any second.

ROUND 3

Both girls have reached another level of focus and concentration, yet their mindsets, couldn't be any farther apart than they are right now. Alex, looks a little looser, knowing that she can and has hurt Gemma. Gemma, has a look of, a fearless honey badger, that has been attacked, and is ready to strike. Gemma, is quickly off her stool, and throws that heavy jab again, and Alex, looks too comfortable at the moment, as if she is complete control, Gemma, head fakes, as if she is looking to throw that lunging stab to Alex’s tummy, Alex’s glove is held high, inviting her to attempt it, when she does and lands it again! This time, Gemma, tucks her head, down and is throwing short, but speedy uppercuts into Alex’s belly, and tit’s when she grabs hold of Gemma and tangles the two up, avoiding any further danger, again. The two, wrestle each other around, and the referee is doing a superb job, making sure the girls don't participate in any foul play. He
has repeatedly warned the two, he will not tolerate it, for one second, and they had better fight clean, no exceptions. Once the blonde goddess’s separate, Gemma, sticks her left jab out onto Alex’s head, and moves it back and forth, kind of pushing on Alex’s head, she is able to fire a a right cross that is only partially blocked, but she takes a uppercut that stops any plans of follow up, she might have had in mind. The two are circling again, looking for an opening, when Gemma, telegraphs the lunging stab attempt and basically places a bulls eye on her head as she lunges forward, only to kiss the canvas, when Alex, punches down and lands a very strong right hand that, Alex got her entire body into and drives Gemma face first onto the mat. Gemma’s nose landed on the toe of Alex’s boot, her mouthpiece, shot out, and her jugs, took the brunt of the fall, flattening them , as her body weight, crushed her poor breasts. Alex, takes a moment, to admire, the beautiful blonde, squirm as she lie at her feet, in horrendous pain, when the referee, gets angry with her for not stepping back, and interfering with his count. Alex’s jaw drops, with disbelief, as Gemma, finds her way onto her feet, and the bell rings soon after, giving us all at least 3 more minutes to watch two beautiful blondes in action. Gemma, had that round until the knockdown, but with that being said, it’s all Alex, 30-26.

ROUND 4

The crowd heavily chants Gemma’s name to try and help her, lift her spirit back to first round form. Gemma, has fought a brilliant fight, other than two or three bad exchanges, she has no reason to hold her head high after Alex, takes away what’s left of her used up legs. Gemma, anticipates that Alex, will press her, and she is accurate with that prediction, as Alex tries to pick her apart with her jab, but Gemma, is her to fight, and is giving up as she blocks, Alex’s jabs to perfection, and after the one, she actually slides just underneath it as it grazes the top of head, and she actually, steps forward, and throws a punch, that catches Alex’s shoulder, and she surprises Alex, with one that drives her back as it hits the bottom of her elbow, only to see Gemma, press forward, as the crowd goes ballistic, and starts chanting her name, as she digs deep, and firmly plants and pivots and drives Alex all the way back across the ring, with several
punches, that are mostly blocked, but have the force, to put Alex onto the ropes, as she clinches, avoiding danger once again. The crowd’s support fuels Gemma to find the strength to stand toe to toe with Alex at the ropes as the two blondes, trade several back and forth punches, with Gemma, fighting her way back into the fight and clearly winning a round. After 4, it’s evident that we may be witnessing a classic Welterweight showdown, that leaves our hearts pounding, and minds running wild, anticipating the judges decision at the bitter end of ten. I have Alex ahead 39-36, with Gemma, charging her way back, one round at a time!

ROUND 5

The Manchester announcer plays, the intro to Queen’s We Will Rock You, trying to keep the crowd, on their feet, in hopes that they will continue to cheer Gemma on, leading her to the biggest victory in her career, in front of her hometown fans. It seemed to work, because Gemma, is up on her feet and looks confident and eager to build on the momentum she just basically stole from Alex, last round! Alex, cant seem to stop the shifting momentum, as she gets drilled, by Gemma’s jab, and steps back, wanting, no more of that, for the time being, only to have Gemma, press her and get the best of the next exchange as well. Gemma, lands another jab or two, and then lunges with the leaning stab to her body, on the same side, that caused her to kiss the canvas, shocking Alex, that Gemma, would be brave enough to try it again, after the pain she suffered the last time, but it worked and the momentum swung in Gemma’s favor even more, as she blisters Alex’s body, with crushing rights and lefts, and not being able to land a counter, just taking a beating inside, just before her luscious lips have their turn to kiss the canvas, as Gemma’s head hook, (that she didn’t see coming) nearly took her head off, followed by a half extended left uppercut, that was just icing on the cake. Gemma, prematurely, jumped for joy, and held her fist high in the air, only to have an astounded look on her face, as she just can’t believe, that Alex is standing up on her feet by eight. The crowd is in disbelief, as well. Seconds later, Alex, can only to manage to throw a few punches that miss, and keep the KO starved Atkinson, from bouncing her off the ropes, as her head, snaps backwards, and then crashes to the mat. The bell rings, and Alex, was truly saved by the bell. Cheryl Cole, stands and loudly applauds Gemma, for her performance her tonight, and loves seeing, Alex, badly beaten. The devastating punching power has taken it’s toll on both the blondes, and Alex, needs a life preserver tossed her way, or she had better stop the tidal wave from crashing atop her head, because, another round like that, and she will be, front page news, lying face down, fast asleep, at Gemma’s feet. After 5, I have Alex still ahead 47-46, but the scorecard seems irrelevant, because this battle, is rearing it’s ugly head, and won’t last much longer.

ROUND 6

Alex, seems overwhelmed, by the momentum swing, Gemma’s furious comeback, and the crazy Manchester crowd, piercing her ears, with their extremely loud support, of her opponent. Alex, staggers around, trying to keep Gemma off her early, and does a pretty good job, early on, as Gemma, can’t land the single KO, shot she is looking for; her big right hand, that misses, two to three times. Gemma, even toys with Alex, a bit, as she head fakes again, acting as if she is going to go for the stab to the body, opening Alex up, and allowing the blonde to put her down for good. Gemma, sticks the jab instead, head fakes again, and throws the left hook, that catches a piece of her elbow and rib, and Alex clinches, over and over again, until Gemma, lands a straight right, and a left hook to her body, and somehow gets carried away, and throws what appeared to be a low blow, to Steven Gerrard’s playground, (Alex’s crotch) and she drops to the ground in agonizing pain. The crowd loses it’s mind, when the referee deducts a point from Gemma, calling intentional, and allows Alex a few minutes to regain her composure. Alex, thought it was intentional, and after the pain eased up, Alex continued to rest the rest of her exhausted body, until the referee called time, and the girls were left with about a minute in the round. It’s a shame, the momentum of the fight, seemed to shift back toward Curran, all because of an accidental low blow, Alex was on her way down, but caught the break she needed and didn’t look back this round fighting with anger, from low blow, and was able to counter everything Gemma threw at her with more vicious punches, that suddenly made Gemma feel powerless, as her tummy, and ribs, get nailed with right and left hands almost at will. Alex, still angry about the low blow, decided to take several shots at Gemma’s sweet breasts, as the bell rang. The stunned crowd sat in silence, as Gemma walked back to her corner holding her damaged goods. With the low blow and her ability to overcome adversity, I have to give that round to Alex, and with the point deduction, making it a 10-8 round, I have Alex ahead 57-54.

ROUND 7

Alex, wastes no time, coming after Gemma, she even, attempted the body stab, that Gemma had landed a few times, with so much success, but she missed, and was able to not get hit in the exchange. Gemma, tried throwing her half hearted jab, but it was ineffective now, and both the blondes knew it. With no successful offensive punches, Gemma, couldn’t keep the more determined Alex, from ripping her to shreds inside, and she did her best to block a few of them, only to get tagged upstairs across her bloody face. Alex gritted her teeth with anger from the low blow, and started hammering away at Gemma’s tit’s again, and put her on her knees, with a uppercut to her ribs. Gemma, didn’t stay down long, in fact, she should have taken another few seconds to see, if she could get a deep breath, because, she didn’t stand very long. Just long enough, to have her breasts beat on a few more times, and she fell to her knees again, this time she stays on her knees as long as possible before, wobbling as she stood up, only to not raise her guard fast enough, and getting her face rearranged, with a right that made the crowd shiver from the sound alone. It’s over, Gemma’s done, turn out the lights Manchester, you have a new Goddess, and she isn’t even from here, Liverpool will proud of their girl, as Manchester worships their blonde Goddess, Alex Curran.

Alex Curran wins by KO in the 7th round of the Goddess Ghadie Manchester Invitational.

Post fight

Alex, takes the microphone and smiles big as she improved her record to 6-5-1 and won her third fight out of the last four, and calls for Gemma to come worship the Manchester queen. The crowd boo’s loudly as a dejected Gemma, not being able to stand crawls over to the victorious Alex, and she says, “Who is Manchester’s Goddess?” Clearly Gemma, is in no position to ignore Alex, so she says into the microphone, “you , YOU ARE the Goddess of Manchester, Miss Curran” Alex, smiles and says, “Don’t think I have forgotten about that low blow, now show me you are truly sorry” ! Gemma, blinks back tears, but says, “it wa, WAS an accident, Miss Curran, I am truly sorry, please forgive me” Gemma, bows her head, in a hard fought defeat, but is ashamed because she lost in front of her own fans, and is devastated for days and nights to come. Gemma’s record falls to 2-9 if you include the FCBA results. But after giving Goddess Alex, all she wanted and then some, she will improve her record, you can count on that!
