Fight night at the Mandalay Bay … Celebrity Boxing After Dark and we have a grudge fight for our main event after an exciting “Pageant v Playboy” undercard featuring a bevy of promising Miss LaJolla and Miss Malibu’s swapping punches with a game group of Miss November and Miss July types !

In the evening’s final bout it’s mentor v protégé as Jenny “Mac the Kniife” McCarthy stepping up to lightweight to fight her Carrie “Miss California” Prejean. Well known that Sceej Boxing usually forbids this sort of thing … won’t even let his girls spar with each other ... but there is a lot of bad blood here. Fallout from the massacre of McCarthy by Kate “The Duchess” Beckinsale … post fight when K-Becks was teeing off on Jenny Mac’s kidneys and Carrie P, seated in the second row, just looked away! McCarthy livid in post fight locker room calling Prejean a coward … Prejean calling on Jenny to take care of her own business … and next thing you know, it is on!

Jenny coming in at 118 … still making bantam limit …. familiar scarlet bikini at weigh in … Prejean in at 126 … not looking to bulk up unnecessarily … wearing the “virgin white” bikini she wore when competing for Miss USA … and before her (ahem) multiple scandals.
Carrie’s corner being handled by her old “Miss California” crew from the pageant days. Officially, Sceej Boxing is neutral but veteran cutman Scrubby McGee working the McCarthy corner and “Wonder Woman” Adrianne Palicki in the McCarthy corner with a towel over her shoulder.. Big Bad Gena Lee Nolin ringside but not tipping her sentiments; she’s had issues with J-Mac over the years but not known as a great fan of Prejean either.

Round 1: Bell and Jenny out of corner quick, dukes under chin and half crouch, looking to cut ring. Carrie P up on toes and skipping back, spitting jabs – just looking to maintain distance. Thirty seconds in, Prejean plants back foot and looks to punch in earnest. Range finder jab popping Jenny’s face as McCarthy looks to slip. Carrie with the occasional overhand right, one crashes off top of Jenny’s blond pate and rattles her. Prejean flashy with a windup and bolo punch to McCarthy ribcage, then dances out, satisfied with damage done. McCarthy with a little snort and back in pursuit … quick step right to cut ring … pushes Prejean into ropes with both gloves (blurted protest from Prejean corner) then bangs left hook to ribs and brigs it right back up top. Toggles Prejean’s long neck … Prejean stumbles out … stumbles … feet tangled and goes down. McCarthy yelling down and ref muscling Mac to corner … scoring it a knockdown and now Prejean corner livid! “She f*cking tripped, ref!!!” McCarthy out of corner purposeful and gleam in eye … looking to finish. Loads up big right but Prejean not there! Slips punch and double jabs Jenny forehead. Bell rings and the girls exchange glares .. ref get between them before it blows up! Flash knockdown makes it a 10-8 McCarthy round to most ringsiders.

Round 2: Carrie P doing what pageant girls do best – classic boxing. Carrie’s been called out for “running” at times but this is disciplined tactical … slowly gives up canvas but heel turns keeping her off the ropes. First minute or so, she is lightly bopping McCarthy forehead, cheeks, jaw with long accurate jab, then right heel raises off canvas as Carrie digs toes in and that jab becomes more a Foreman-esque telephone pole – stopping McCarthy in her tracks. Jenny right hand cocked looking for opening but frustrated by Prejean’s effective movement. And occasional flurries. Late in round, frustrated Jenny wings the big overhand right but Prejean slips it classy and comes up whacking . Cracks blonde with a picture left hook to jaw that clearly rattles Jenny Mac. 10-9 round to slick boxing Californian.

Round 3: Scrubby McGee in corner “Move yer damn head Jenny-girl before dis b###h knocks it off!” McCarthy stalking from the crouch and head bobbing – tougher target for the Prejean jab. Jenny able to slip inside and left right to body. Prejean corner screeches for clinch and gets it. Girls wrestle … McCarthy able to slip right free and clubbing shots to Prejean shoulder and behind ear. Prejean corner calling for rabbit punch and gets a ref’s break and a warning to McCarthy. Carrie uses break to get back up on toes and use jab to manage distance. Slow round looks about even as Jenny looks to solve Carrie’s length while Carrie deals with Jenny’s pressure.

Round 4: Jenny bulling and bullying, Carrie digs in to trade! Big shots are flying as they trade even until big overhand right – that McCarthy signature for ten plus years – crashes onto pageant chin and Carrie P’s legs give way. Prejean seated … wide eyed with shock … McCarthy bellowing down “Get up, you (multiple expletives …)”. Carrie on a knee at seven, up at nine … and immediately into “survive the round” mode. Slick little move of rotating quick with the ref … trying to keep referee between her and Playmate. When Jenny can close, she’s limited to one shot as Prejean goes or immediate clinch – long arms enveloping shorter girl like an octopus and hanging on tenaciously until ref can pry them apart. Tactic is drawing boos from crowd but buying Carrie seconds as she looks to run out clock on the round. Inside twenty seconds and a crisp left hook crashes off pageant princess’s jaw and knees shimmy but manages to say on feet. Jenny fronting up at end of round and letting Carrie hear alllllll about it! 10-8 round McCarthy.

Round 5 & 6: Jenny looking to close the show and getting reckless, walking straight into that educated pageant jab. Early on, Carrie just looking to keep Jenny at distance but as confidence grows, she begins snapping the jab. Carrie begins to commit weight to jab and on a couple of occasions, Jenny gets a good look at the overhead lights as her head is whipped back. Toward end of rounds, former Miss California unleashes chopping right hand that stops former Miss October dead in her tracks. Carrie sweeps the 5th and 6th 10-9 on the cards and it’s all even through six rounds.

Shanna Moakler: “If McCarthy would just apply pressure, Prejean will fold .. she always has and always will!”

Olivia Munn: “Damn … Jenny Mac is lookin’ OLD! Just sayin’ …”

McCarthy corner … Scrubby McGee asking for more head movement, close the distance … then SLAP … usually quiet Adrianne Palicki SHOCKS corner, ringside, FCBA … hard slap across startled McCarthy’s face … “Dammit Jenny, wake up!!! This thing is slipping away! You’re not going out like this … losing to some pageant cream puff! Get up in this girl’s business and stay there! This is your ring .. your fight … now finish this b###h and let’s go home!”

Round 7: Prejean out of corner on toes, beaming with new confidence … but met abruptly by charging J-Mac and bullied to ropes. McCarthy breaks out the baseball bat … slides hips left and hooks with right to Prejean ribcage … slides hips right and double hooks the liver. Playmate head planted under Prejean chin as Jenny bangs body with both hands. Miss California lanky frame not meant for this type of fight … she looks to clinch but Jenny Mac wrestling furiously. Carrie able to spin out but blonde bulldog right back on her. Carrie P. clinches but sturdy Playmate legs force her inexorably back until back hits the cables then it is back to the body. Prejean tries to trade but long arms ill suited to in fighting. Desperate, she dips shoulder and uppercuts McCarthy trunks. Jenny takes a knee … Sceej corner apoplectic … ref walking Carrie to corner and wagging finger but declines to deduct point on first offense. Jenny hands on hips … half bent over … ref gives signal and Prejean on her … and get’s bell rung with left hook to chin … McCarthy playing possum! Sold Carrie she’s was hurt worse than she was! Big shimmy in those long coltish legs … Carrie stumbling backward but keeps feet as round ends. 10-9 round McCarthy on two cards, one judge has it 10-8 even without knockdown based on bell to bell dominance (minus the foul).

Round 8: Three … minute … beatdown! McCarthy pins Prejean on ropes like butterfly pinned to a card and methodically pounds body without mercy. Not looking for the one shot … just relentless “… whap … whap … whap … ”. Miss California ribcage pinking up noticeably. When Carrie dips shoulder looking for crotch shot … veteran J-Mac shifts and takes shot on hip … instead its Prejean wincing at impact of hand to bone. At bell, bedraggled pageant princess wandering toward corner … fiercely grinning Jenny Mac follows her half way .. yipping in her ear … telling her all about it!

Round 9: IT’S OVER! Prejean shaking head as corner tries to coax her off stool (would later claim she broke hand in the 8th but no confirmatory x-ray ever produced). Palicki doing her usual “excited puppy” over “big sis” victory … McCarthy stony … asks Scrubby to cut the gloves off … and STRAIGHT over to Miss California corner! Prejean look of shock and fear as she feels Playmate’s fingers lock in her hair and drag her to her feet. Arm twisted behind back for the painful and humiliating “Hammerlock Walk” around ring.

After full circuit, Jenny gets up close for a few choice private words with her former protégé … then dispatches her back to corner with a resounding “spank” on that bikini clad butt. Jenny to own corner and returns with a sheet of paper and red marker … calls for microphone …

“This is her contract!” Jenny announces … waving paper like a bloody shirt, before ceremoniously writing “VOID” across it in block red letters, “She’s through with Sceej Boxing! I brought her in … it was a mistake … and it got corrected tonight! Any stable wants her … you can have her … she’s there for the taking … free agent! But don’t say you weren’t warned …. ! The b###h can’t fight because she won’t fight! I’m sick of people saying I’m no trainer because of Miss Priss’ failures …. I’m a damn good trainer … but I’m not a cardiac surgeon …. and what she needs is a heart transplant … STAT!”
