'Make way for the real Foxy Roxy!', a very confident Roxanne McKee tells everyone around the arena during her pre-fight interview with Denise van Outen. 'Most of the BBU people seem to have forgotten me but when I've heard that my two former show mates, Gemma Merna and Emilia Clarke are going at it, I just had to make a Indeed, sharing Hollyoaks and Game of Thrones duties with Merna and Clarke respectively, McKee makes a somewhat surprise return to action after last being seen in the BBU ring in March of 2011! Back then Roxanne was brutally knocked out by Lyndsy Fonseca which seemingly made her think that pursuing a career in boxing isn't perhaps what she really needs to be happy in life. However, the demons have gone away and the 32-year old brunette takes on the former bantamweight champion Amy Nuttall on her comeback.

Roxanne McKee wearing a dark blue bikini with white stripes and blue gloves. Amy Nuttall wearing a bright green bikini and black gloves.

Round 1:
Nuttall confident of her chances, jabs to the body straight from the bell and has Roxanne covering up and weaving around on her feet. As expected, the brunette looks rusty on her return and makes little impression in the opening round with Amy hassling her around and landing single shots to the body, but failing to break through the guard. The Bolton redhead beat Sara Kavanagh in her only fight this year to date, but she's settling in quicker than McKee, finally whips a big hook around the gloves and catches her temple in the final minute. Roxy tries to respond, leaps after Amy but crashes off the gloves and gets whacked by another quick right on the temple which finally forces her back for good.

Round 2:
McKee offers little agression again and Nuttall should really go after her, but keeps the low-key approach, just laces the brunette to the body, flicks an occassional hook around the head but the pace of this bout definitely suits the brunette more and she finds the rhythm in the second minute herself, catches the redhead around the gloves, bangs a hook on the jugs and it finally gets Nuttall annoyed, but she can't break McKee's guard and forces a clinch as the fight remains a cagey affair with not as many fireworks as one might have expected. Roxanne throws some low jabs to her opponent's ribcage, tries to make something happen in the clinch but Nuttall shoves her back to the ropes as the ref refuses to separate them for whatever reason. McKee manages to free her right hand and whacks couple of jabs to the tummy, has Amy moaning in pain but eventually leaning even further and the brunette can't find more succes until the bell as the crowd begins to whistle in anger.

Round 3:
No holding back from Nuttall anymore, she leaps after the brunette, seemingly aware of the fact there's little threat coming from the former Hollyoaks actress. Roxy ducks to the side, counters with couple of hooks to the temple and whilst Nuttall got nothing but the air, McKee whacks her clean on the temple and rocks to the side instantly. Left hook on the ribs and Amy stumbles over her feet, gets caught stranded in the middle of the ring and Roxanne pours in with an overhand right on the nose. Amy's gloves just got shattered and only her nose stopped McKee's leather! DOWN GOES NUTTALL FLAT ON HER BACK as her legs shoot up in the air while she was going down! Crowd silenced by the unexpected haymaker at first, starts to cheer for Roxy while the gobsmacked former champion scrambles herself back upright at six and throws thunders at the brunette with her eyes. That surely got Amy annoyed, no doubt! She shoves the ref away and piles in with a jabbing series to the head, smacks couole of hooks around the high guard, but McKee ducks underneath, whacks her foe with another counter to the ribs and has her moaning again. She peppers the redhead with more jabs to the tummy and Amy leaps away from danger, she's been outpunched in this little sequence and is lucky enough to see Roxanne struggling to chase her down again. Nuttall's much quicker on her feet, great news for an underdog fighter, but the problem is, Amy's the designated favorite here. She avoids more McKee leather for remainder of the round, but the fight has taken an ugly turn for the Bolton redhead.

Round 4:
McKee calm and composed off her stool and Amy looks desperate to make up for that knockdown already. She closes the brunette down and whips a sequence to the ribs, but catches the arms and another left hook counter nails her on the temple and derails her efforts. McKee leans on her instead and pours in with more jabs to the body, flicks a vicious uppercut and snaps Amy's head back as the redhead winces but looks keen to continue to fight in close range. She whacks Roxy on the ribs, has her moaning but is vulnerable to the left over the top and gets caught on the eye twice before shutting the brunette off. Another clinch follows; McKee barks in anger and wins the battle of the strenght, pushes her foe against the ropes and looks to land more jabs to the tummy as Nuttall is really losing her plot and just hangs on in the clinch before ref separates them in the dying seconds. Amy raises her arms again, but somehwat slow and a quick left jab bangs her on the eye again and a nasty little shiner appears under the redhead's eye with McKee laughing at her after the bell. Amy tries to square up to her in the middle of the ring, but the ref has things under control and drags the furious ex-champ back to her corner.

Round 5:
Amy just can't crack the brunette down after allowing her to settle in during the opening two rounds. She shows more speed across the ring but keeps crashing off the guard with her single hand approach while Roxy threatens to send her down again with menacing hooks around the head. McKee keeps playing the waiting game, doesn't rush with her attacks and it's working well for her as Nuttall - with all her experience - lacks execution tonight and seems too respectful towards the brunette. The steam has gone out of this fight again and both girls waste more time in the clear, faking shots and not committing to their efforts. But it certainly helps McKee more than it does Nuttall. More whistles from the crowd accompany the fighters as they walk to their corners at half-distance.

Round 6:
McKee hangs back again and Amy moves more confidently forward, throws hooks to the head but still lacks precision and allows the brunette to counter over the top and it's successful as Nuttall's head snaps back repeatedly and Roxanne leans on her, sends few vicious jabs to the ribcage and forces the redhead back. McKee threatens to push forward with more venom, has Nuttal tripping over her feet, but eventually backs out of it and begins another circle around the ring. Amy drops her arms, tries to compose herself for another attack but looks to be worried by the swings around her head, so ducks low and looks for some success to the tummy. McKee's defence leaves no room for the ex-champ to break through though and Amy is just annoyed over her performance. She closes the distance but gets whacked by couple of big hooks on the guard and steps back as Roxy remains unmoved in her stance until the bell.

Round 7:
Nuttall charges off her stool and finally whips a left hook around the gloves, catches the brunette on the temple and pours in with more low jabs to the ribs but McKee answers with a straight jab between the arms, nails the redhead on the mouth and there are fireworks in the ring again as a sudden rage of fury sees Nuttall snapping Roxy's head back with a straight jabbing combo and pushing her to the ropes as the brunette winces in pain, having been caught out and thrown out of her comfort zone. Nuttall unloads that ex-champ presece, lashes to the chest and body, keeps her foe pinned on the ropes and just taking abuse. Wide slaps from both flanks bury McKee on her knees before she can raise her arms to protect her face, but Amy's all for the midsection and bends the brunette forward with her best display of the night but she runs out of steam in the final minute and can't quite put Roxanne down who forces a clinch instead. The fight seems to be going the distance with neither girl looking in serious trouble bar one lucky punch finish and both fighters acknowledge this possibility as they remain locked in a fruitless clinch for remainder of the round.

Round 8:
Amy looks to pounce on her best round of the night, but Roxy ups her agility and stays away from her, now just blanantly trying to cover the alleged points lead. Nuttall visibly eager to enforce her anger, but where was she during the opening six rounds where she hardly put her rival under any pressure? Roxanne has a lot of energy left in her tank, she drops her arms and laughs at Amy's repeatedly failed efforts to close her down. This one is not for the purists and if the judges could deduct points for poor artistic impression, Roxanne would have been slapped for this kind of perfomance. However she can't be and Nuttall just slows down as the time goes by and it's walking pace in the final minute with McKee throwing single shots from mid-range and the redhead just keeping her arms raised and focused on a potential burst of aggression from her opponent. Unsurprisingly it never materialises but that doesn't prevent the brunette from flashing a huge smile to the corwd as she walks back to her stool. On the other hand Nuttall looks tired in the opposite corner.

Round 9:
A change of scenery as McKee comes forward and traps her rival with a hooking combo on the ropes and Nuttall's lacklustre performance takes another bad turn when the brunette nails her between the arms and send her jugs rocking from side to side. Amy sinks on her knees and Roxy peppers her guard with no sympathy whatsoever and the redhead really looks to be struggling physically now, just takes punishment with little effort to move into safety. McKee leans on her, throws more shots around the elbows and Amy moans in pain, the intensity isn't there for Roxy, but it's more than enough to render her foe helpless on the ropes. Roxanne drops the midsection pummelling, tries to launch something to the face, but Amy manages to keep her guard in tact which forces the brunette to switch her tactics again. More punches to the ribs follow and Amy screams in a mix of pain and anger, launches a big haymaker on the head and oh-so nearly catches McKee over the top, but skims off the gloves and grazes her ear instead as Roxy slams a big left on the exposed chin SENDING THE REDHEAD DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE!!! Nuttall crashes down with her eyes closed and yelps in pain as McKee grins in delight. Amy looks truly beaten here but wraps her arms around the ropes, rolls onto her knees and scrambles back upright at eight, just beating the count. Her face is badly bruised though, the gash under the eye has grown over the past couple of rounds and she's an easy prey for the charging McKee who pounds her to the ribcage after the command and Amy's in a world of pain now with Roxy going for the kill. However she crashes off the forearms and allows the former champion to blatantly clinch her in the final seconds and for the first time the brunette looks really angry while heading back to her stool despite having this one under her belt. Only a last-ditch KO can save Nuttall's chances and quite frankly she looks nowhere near of getting that. She slumps down on her stool and might be very lucky if she survives the final round herself.

Round 10:
Yup, McKee is going for the last round KO! And Amy knows it! She remains glued to the ropes and makes no intention of any attacks herself, just looks to avoid all the leather Roxy hopes to lay into her. Crowd begins to laugh, but it's the matter of higher stakes for the ex-champ who finally must succumb to the harrassement as the fitness lets her down and enable the brunette to pounce on with vicious jabs to the ribcage and chest. Nuttall covers up, but gets whacked repeatedly between the arms and sinks on her knees as Roxanne backs her against the ropes where she unloads more venom. Amy can't stop moaning in pain and gets pummelled around, literally swaying on her feet from side to side as McKee barks with every shot landed but she can't break the redhead's guard and reverts into low punishment, almost bashing her foe to the ground, but Amy holds on until the final minute where McKee runs out of breath and just spikes her to the ribs, losing the power neccessary to enforce the KO finish. And there's the bell... Nuttall slumps down on her backside, relieved she made it through while McKee climbs the ropes and begins to celebrate the win already. The verdict seems a foregone conclusion and Amy just wants to disappear from the ring, but is ordered to stay until the judges give their score.

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards... Judges score the bout 97-95, 98-94 and 97-94 all for you winner through unanimous decision... ROXANNE McKEE!!!

Post-fight:
No surprise over the final verdict, Roxanne McKee hasn't taken the purists by the horns with her style but she really beat Amy Nuttall tonight allthough the former champ never got into this fight apart from that round seven display. Whatever caused Nuttall to endure such a bad outing remains a mystery for the time being however McKee might have just relaunched her BBU career after sitting nineteen months on the sidelines.

'I've got several rivals on my radar now', an obviously joyful winner tells Denise van Outen in the post-fight interview, 'Any bantam girl from Coronation Street or even the Hollyoaks gang isn't safe with me winning fights! OK, just kidding, Hollyoaks is cool. Just watch how Gemma Merna destroys that Clarke girl next! Yep, there's a reason why I despise Emilia. After all I played her handmaid, a frickin' handmaid on Game of Thrones. Doesn't get any worse than that! It's even worse than playing Robin on Batman series! But let's not talk about Clarke anymore! Did I mention how I'd love to pound Leilani Dowding's jugs flat? I'm the new cat among the pigeons and yeah, those pigeons won't fly far with me grounding them for good!'

Roxanne surely doesn't lack self-confidence but several pundits were disappointed by Amy Nuttall's performance which helped McKee to score a fine win on return. One must suspect the upcoming rivals won't be so hesitant to enforce their presence on Roxanne more viciously than the Double A Boxing redhead.

Final result: Roxanne McKee def. Amy Nuttall UD10.
