TESS VALMORE

BORTH/ McCORD The opening fight was entertaining, although I have to admit that I don’t know who Borth is. Borth took the first three rounds, decking McCord twice. McCord took the next four, flooring Borth three times in the sixth. The last three rounds were split between the two. I had both with five rounds each and McCord with one more knockdown. Borth got the decision. Shows what I know

MENDES/ VAUGIER I thought Vaugier would win this bout by a decision. She well may have, If the bout would have gone ten. Unfortunately for Vaugier, it went only less than four complete rounds. In the fourth, Mendes charged out and caught Vaugier in her corner and pounded her around the ring, decking her twice, the second time for the count

NOLIN/ SOBIESKI I don’t know what I hated worse, Sobieski to lose or Nolin to win. It was a typical Nolin fight in that she fouled in four rounds. If Nolin doesn’t foul, she doesn’t win. She fouled. She won. The referee was on vacation

ROWLAND/ ROHM. The 39 year old Rohm looked good for the first three rounds. The fourth, however, started her on the downside as Rowland put her on the canvas. Rowand followed up in the fifth. handing Rohm a bad beating until Rohm went down for the count

MITRA/ KELLY Just like Yogi said. “It ain’t over until it’s over” Mitra way ahead on the cards winning eight of nine until disaster struck in the tenth. Kelly landed a couple hooks and then a slashing right and Mitra was down and out

PATTON/ UPTON This should be the end of Patton’s FCBA career. She got whacked out by Upton in less than two. I knew that Patton wasn’t very good, but to lose to Upton. makes it time to hang the gloves up

LANDRY/ ATKINSON Landry was having a bad year and her year just got a lot worse. I couldn’t imagine her losing to Atkinson. I can’t imagine anyone losing to Atkinson. But that’s what happened. After Landry took the first five rounds, Atkinson started to get to Landry and ended up flooring her twice in the ninth, the last time for the long count. Landry is one of a number of fighters on this card who should consider leaving the game

FREGE/ SCHERZINGER. Not a lot to say about this fight. Scherzinger pitched a five round shutout before pounding Frege to the canvas. Frege managed to beat the count, but the referee waived the fight off. Scherzinger by a TKO

BROOK/ MENOUNOS Two fighters on opposite paths. Menounos on the way up and Brook on the way down. That’s the way it turned out in this fight also. Menounos dominated the fight losing only two rounds before pounding Brook into a TKO. Menounos wins her fourth straight and Brook loses her fifth straight non stable bout. Brook may be joining the unemployment line

TAYLOR/ DECESARE Taylor was a little over ambitious in choosing her opponent. She paid the price. Taylor managed to take the first two rounds, but after that it was all Decesare, who not only took the rest of the rounds, she floored Taylor twice. Decesare got the decision

TONKIN/ ROBBIE i didn’t know who Tonkin was before the fight. I still don’t, but Robbie does. She learned the hard way. Although Robbie scored the only knockdown, Tonkin took eight of the ten rounds to get the decision

VANDERVOORT/ YUSTMAN A good fight. Vandervoort went down in the third, and was lucky to finish the round, Yustman went down in the fourth, and was lucky to finish the round. Yustman went down again in the seventh. She didn’t finish the round. Vandervoort gets a blonde KO over a brunette

MOORE/ REGAN This was the upset of the night thus far. There was no way Moore should beat Regan, but that’s what happened. Regan was ahead on the cards at the end of seven. Moore gave Regan a beating in the eighth and cranked it up in the ninth to pound Regan into a TKO daze.

CHUNG/ DOBREV. This is becoming a night of unexpected results. Chung wouldn’t stay with Dobrev. Certainly not. Yet she did. She barely survived the last round, but survive she did, Chung managed to split the ten with Dobrev and even had one more knockdown. The decision came down as one of those hated draws. Dobrev wanted to go extra rounds. Chung said no, probably wisely

LOHAN/ HOLLAND. Since I refuse to watch a Lohan fight, I was down in the bar having a Shirley Temple. I am told Lohan won by a TKO. Too bad

MEESTER/ M. KELLY This night is getting a little on the ridiculous side. Upsets galore. Kelly should have KOed Meester, In fact, she decked Meester in the first. Unfortunately for Kelly, she got a little careless and got caught by a wild over hand right that put her on the canvas for the count. Meester get’s the KO win

SONG/ SCERBO The upsets continue and needless to say at this point, I am having the worst night in predicting in Tractorpull history. This was quite a fight. Cassie decked Song twice, but was in turn, floored four times. That was enough to give Song a one point decision. I am 4-10 in predictions

SPIRADAKOS/ FONSECA Finally one went the way it was supposed to. Fonseca dropped Spiradakos in the first, and then went down herself in the second. It was back and forth until the sixth when a pair of rights dropped Spiradakos. She tried to get up, but the referee waived off the fight giving Fonseca the win,

BOWEN/ HOLT. Going into this fight Bowen hadn’t won a fight and Holt hadn’t lost one. Nothing changed. Holt was ahead on the cards going into the sixth. In the sixth, Holt floored Bowen three times. Bowen only got up twice. Holt by a KO

PANETTIERE/ GRAHAM This was quite a fight. Five rounds each, One knockdown each. A draw, but they decided to go extra rounds. Hayden took the eleventh and twelfth to get the decision

ACCOLA/ BECKINSALE Beckinsale was cruising through five, doing pretty much what she wanted. It came to a screeching halt in the sixth, when Accola landed a series of hooks that switched Beckinsale off and she was counted out.

TISDALE/ MILLER The best Sienna Miller we have ever seen. She simply took Tisdale apart in the first round and then finished her off in the second. Miller may have sent a record for punches landed in the first round. I am not sure if Tisdale ever landed a punch. if she did it didn’t have any effect on Miller’s buzz saw

SPEARS/ McADAMS Two very good ex champs in a fight that i thought would be close. It wasn’t. Spears dominated the fight, taking seven rounds and scoring the only knockdown. It was an impressive performance from the Hour Glass fighter, who hasn’t been very active this year

BJORLIN/ THERON No surprise here. Bjorlin knocked Theron out cold in less than two. Certainly, Miss Ginny should realize that when Charlize gets badly flattened by a journey-woman welter, it’s time to call off this madness and let Charlize retire before she gets seriously hurt.

ACKER/ OLSEN The best performance of Olsen’s brief career. Olsen won eight of the first nine rounds before getting clipped in the tenth and barely finishing. Finish, she did and got the wide decision

LOPEZ/ LAWRENCE. I have no idea what Lopez was thinking when she took this fight. She got just what was expected, a brutal beating. The beating was so bad that the ref asked Lopez twice if she wanted to quit. After the fight Lopez announced she would retire. I thought she had. I don’t think Lawrence can be called a legend killer. I didn’t know Lopez was a legend. She never even held a unified title

LAW/ BIEL Some consider Biel the best PFP fighter in the FCBA, but as we said she has been inconsistent. That said, she was the favorite in this fight and what a fight it was. Law surprised us, having the lead through six. Biel had to comeback to get a draw. She took the eleventh, but couldn’t follow up and lost the twelfth. In the thirteenth, Law landed a series of big rights that put Biel down and out. Interestingly at this point in the night we have had three Hall Of Fame fighters in the ring and all have lost by KOs

HALE/ KRUEK The first of the PLL-PLP/ HISC stable war bouts. It really wasn’t much of a fight as Kruek totally outclassed the Hale taking all of the rounds but one, before pounding her into a TKO in the seventh

DANES/ BELLISARIO This wasn’t a fight. It was just one woman beating the other like the proverbial drum Just like the first stable war fight. this lasted seven rounds. Just like the first fight, it ended in a HISC TKO victory. Danes simply had her way with the bigger woman winning every round and decking her twice before the referee called a halt to the fight

BENSON/ WILLIAMS The third stable war fight went longer than the first two. It went nine. The result was the same. A HISC win by a TKO. This time, however, it was a little harder for the consortium. I had the rounds even going into the ninth. Then Williams put the hammer down flooring Benson and punching her into a TKO daze

DUSHKU/ MITCHELL The Sheriff, in defending her title, completed the sweep of the PLP, Mitchell may have lasted the complete fight, but she took more punishment than her stablemates. Mitchell managed to win the first round. That was the last round she won as Dusku romped to victory. I have no comment on the after-fight antics

CARTER/ HOUGH Hough was on a six fight win streak going into this fight. The streak is over. It was a closer fight than I expected. Hough opened up a big lead taking the first three rounds. Carter came back flooring Hough in the fourth. She then closed the lead, although I had the fight even at the end of eight. The ninth was all the champ, as she unleashed a vicious body attack that finally put Hough down for the count

NICHOLS/ CUCUO A title changed hands tonight. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Cucuo had won this fight by a decision. if there was going to be a KO win, it would be Nichols. Well there was a KO win and it wasn’t Nichols who was standing An uppercut from the knees put Nichols in lala land. Now Cucuo’s the champ. Queen of the stable. Will Biel be asking for a trade?

Well the second half of the card was kinder to us, thanks largely to HISC as we finished a not so great 16-14. We had gone 11-0 in the Asylum and Ryder cup predictions. We finish 27-14 for this round of fights.
