The BBU International card opens with Lioness Club's Rhiannon Fish looking to make further inroads in her short career to date. After stoppage victories over Hannah Tointon and Jacqueline Jossa the Canadian-born Australian actress faces Canadian-based Emilie Ullerup in what can be described as the closest thing to a proper Canuck brawl on this side of the pond.

Emilie Ullerup has defeated Fish's stablemate Heidi Range back in February and Jeanette Biedermann before that as well and claims she's got the Lioness camp "all figured out" however a recent loss to Nikki Sanderson brings the shade of a shocking punchout at the hands of Nadine Coyle last December. Ullerup is a real enigma in the ring, she wins against girls she's supposed to lose and gets upset by a designated jobber like Coyle. Because of that pattern - or lack thereof - it remains to be seen which Ullerup turns out in the ring tonight and whether she can avenge that vicious loss to Sanderson. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

It looks like Ems will make this one personal but Rhiannon keeps her focus before the opening bell and ignores the blonde's gestures towards her. They refuse to touch gloves on Ullerup's request and stare at each other with little sympathy as the action is just seconds away...

Round 1:
Ullerup means business from the start as she throws a flurry of shots at the brunette trying to intimidate her as quickly as possible but Fish blocks off those efforts and works the single hand in response. Emilie ducks low and targets the ribcage but the brunette's footwork allows her to step away and avoid getting laced as Ullerup is chaotic in execution despite obvious mean intentions. She hassles Rhiannon across the canvas but lacks precision and only grazes her flesh before catching couple of hooks in return and Fish finds the accuracy, whips another hook on the temple and forces the blonde to drop her agressive approach in the final minute. Both girls circle around each other thereafter but there's no real break-through in the opening round.

Round 2:
Another quick leap from Ullerup who manages to land couple of hooks on the brunette's cheeks but Rhiannon whips a straight jab on the nose and staggers the blonde briefly before cleaning out her ribcage and pushing back to the ropes. Emilie leaps to the side in avoidance but Fish had no intentions of trapping her this early in the bout and just methodically circles around her as Ullerup throws more shots from mid-range but neither girl commits too much as the round progresses. Late in the going Emilie squares up to her rival with another quick jump and Rhiannon failed to anticipate that as her coach Gina Wild indicated there's less than ten seconds remaining and Emilie smacks her across the guard, splits the mitts for a moment and lands a straight jab on the mouth which spins the brunette to the ropes but the clock expires and the ref charges in between the two girls with neither looking happy about that.

Round 3:
Rhiannon shows more agression and both girls square off in the middle of the ring trading heavy leather. Fish pummels through the blonde's guard and nails her on the cheeks but Emilie leans on her and gutwrenches on the navel before following up with a well-placed uppercut. Left hook over the top nails Fish on the temple and rocks her on the feet as Emilie whips more hooks to the chest and the crowd has also come to life upon this exchange. Rhiannon tries to clinch but Ullerup slips under her arm and bangs a vicious left hook on the ribs which makes the brunette yelp in pain but there's more to come from the Danish-Canadian as another left hook lands straight on Rhiannon's chin again and the Aussie girl covers up but gets pummelled back to the ropes where Ullerup throws low jabs to the ribs and keeps the suprisingly cumbersome brunette pinned until the bell with ref having to drag the raging blonde away. There's little doubt Emilie really enjoyed punching Rhiannon's ribs!

Round 4:
Lioness head coach Gina Wild looks concerned during the interval as Rhiannon Fish probably endured the worst round in her BBU career to date but she looks keen to make amends for it and leaps straight after the blonde off her stool and catches the oncoming Emilie with her first shot straight on the nose! Emilie loses her footing and rocks to the side as Fish whips another left hook on the eye and snaps Ullerup's head. Low jabbing to the guts follows and the blonde is pushed back to the ropes but manages to duck to the side before Fish nails her with a flying hook. Ullerup counters but catches the brunette on the kidneys with a wicked hook and immediately gets an official warning as Fish indicates she's in some pain. "Cut the crap, bytch!!!", Ullerup shows little understanding of her rival's problems and is on the verge of being stripped of a point after spitting out her mouthpiece. Some confusion in the ring follows with coaches Gina Wild and Amanda Tapping screaming at each other from opposite corners and the round concludes with both fighters faking efforts in mid-distance as Emilie cannot match Rhiannon's footwork but the Aussie girl still seems to be affected by that lacing shot to the kidneys and perhaps she's not showing off here after all.

Round 5:
No-nonsence stuff from Ullerup who squares up to her opponent like she's done in all the previous rounds but she crashes off the gloves with the initial attacks and is forced to cover up in wake of single-handed response over the top. They continue to trade leather from mid-range inside the opening minute before Emilie decides to switch her game; she drops her arms and struts back to the ropes, seemingly teasing Fish into some ill-advised attack but the Lioness girl refuses to answer. More cirlces from Ullerup around the ring with Rhiannon stuck in the center for a while before Emilie closes to her a little and swings some left hooks to the head but cannot even land them with the brunette's head twitching back and forth in avoidance. Finally it's the blonde girl who's had enough and she jumps after her rival with a flying hook but skims off the gloves and takes a jabbing combo on the chest in response; she ignores that and whips a right hook on the temple with much better result, snaps Rhiannon's head to the side, catches her on the navel with a low jab and throws another left hook on the temple but this time Fish leans on her and clinches. Ullerup tries more rabbit shots to the kidneys! However Rhiannon leans on the ropes and Ullerup's left glover gets tangled in the ropes and the brunette trips her to the floor just as the bell sounds! Emilie gets up on her feet but is furious and demands the ref to take action, but none is taken and Fish walks back to her corner totally ignoring the blonde girl.

Round 6:
More leather trading straight from the bell as Fish doesn't hold back anymore and tries to use Emilie's anger against her hoping for some defensive flaws. The brunette is slightly quicker and more agile on her feet as Emilie's close to red mist mode and seems forget about her movement more often now. She lands couple of straight jabs between the arms but gets whacked on the ribs and Rhiannon is able to overcome her height disadvantage by an accurate attack from close range. Emilie continues to throws jabs to the head but bends to the side after Fish nailed her repeatedly on the ribcage and followed up by couple of hooks to the temple. Emilie weaves around them but Rhiannon leaps after her, breaks through the arms, bounces off the jugs and forces the blonde back. Ullerup crashes off the guard thereafter and is unable to stamp her authority in mid-range and reverts into circling around the ring as Fish shows more agression but fails to engage in another trade-off before the bell.

Round 7:
Both girls show first signs of fatigue; despite high-tempo jabbing for most of the bout, there aren't many wounds and cuts inflicted on either side but Ullerup keeps hassling her rival and works the single hand from mid-range in the opening minute. Rhiannon is very much covered behind her guard but responds with single shots herself however both girls settle to catch their breaths in a largely annonynous round and this fight threatens to go the distance as even coaches Wild and Tapping have settled down in their corners.

Round 8:
Ullerup charges out of her stool but misses a hook to the head and the brunette's footwork allows her to deke to the side and counter around the elbows as the blonde isn't that agile anymore, turns slowly and is unable to stop Rhiannon from banging a huge hook on the ribs. That made Emilie yelp in pain and a right over the top catches her on the nose and snaps her head back as Fish leans on her and throws more jabs to the stomach. Ullerup raised her arms high but failed to anticipate the low attacks and Rhiannon pummels her on the ribs from both sides as Emilie moans in pain and tries to step back but loses her footing and stumbles to the side, open for a huge left hook on the nose! There weren't many cuts so far in this bout but that's changed now as blood starts to sprinkle from the blonde's nostrils in wake of that punch. Ullerup wipes her nose with the top of her glove and notices the blood all over the engraved leaf but has no time to react as Rhiannon clubs her with couple of big jabs between the arms and snaps her head back one more time. Ullerup falls on the ropes and covers up as Fish opens up from both flanks, unloads heavy leather on the ribs and the blonde's single hand response is too slow and erratic to cause any difference and only the fact Fish runs out of breath and settles for a clinch in the dying seconds allows her to survive in this precarious position.

Round 9:
Coach Amanda Tapping is absolutely livid by the way her blonde warrior got trapped in the previous round and urges Emilie to enforce even more agression on the brunette. Ullerup answers the call but so does Fish, seemingly refusing to back away and perhaps nurse this one on the cards and they keep fire away at each other in the middle of the ring and Emilie's not finished here just yet, she whacks her rival on the temple and follows up with a jabbing series on the jugs and Fish weaves around on her feet but must step back eventually and Ullerup flies with a high hook only to miss the brunette's head and suffer from a ribcage pummelling counter moments later. Rhiannon targets the midsection and forces the blonde to moan again, no doubt the Lioness camp watched the way Nadine Coyle almost broke Ullerup's ribs last December but the height difference favors the Danish-Canadian here and she swings a right hook dangerously close to the brunette's nose but fails to back it up with some footwork and gets clobbered to the chest as both girls embrace each other in a clinch shortly afterwards and the ref has his hand full with Fish rerfusing to let go and Emilie moaning in exhaustion with her eyes closed. Both girls really look tired now and just stare at each other after they get separated and as the clock runs down, the odds are still even and one or two people in the audience believe that Emilie might well grind out a decision after all. Stranger things have happened.

Round 10:
Gina Wild is all over Rhiannon's ear during the last interval as the Aussie actress somehow didn't go after that wounded nose and reverted back to midsection pummelling. That might have been the plan before the fight but the failing to adapt to other chances might still bite the Lioness camp at the end of the day. Fish leaps out of her stool and give both girls some credit, they look exceptionally well heading into the tenth round and Emilie swings out at the brunette from the opposite corner and whacks her with the first hook but drops her arm too low and misses a shot to the ribs; Fish responds, throws a nifty half-uppercut to the chin and manages to close the distance again. Ullerup moans in exhaustion rather than pain but grits her teeth and unloads more shots to the midsection herself; Rhiannon leans on her and the blonde's efforts are dangerously close to the kidney area again but Fish wrestles her way in the clinch and shoves Ullerup to the ropes as both girls look eager to gain the decisive advantage in any which way possible. Ref separates them briefly and they come at each other again moments later, Ullerup swings more hooks to the head, skims off the arms, gets laced on the navel in response and Fish forces another clinch, pushes the blonde back against the corner post and ref shakes his head, refuses to step in and allows both hellcats to settle it on their own as the final minute begins. Back and forth shoving in the corner follows with Emilie unable to land more rabbit shots on the kidneys and Rhiannon blatantly pulling her down. Tempo drops like a stone now and Ullerup can only help herself by wrapping her arm around the brunette's neck and now she wants to literally drag the Aussie girl onto her knees but Fish whips last couple of jabs to the chest and the final bell sounds with both girls embraced in a vicious lock with neither ready to yield.

To be honest this fight could have lasted another ten rounds but the broadcasting schedule prevents even a possible overtime action and we go to the scorecards... Judges score the bout 99-97, 98-97 and 98-97 all for your winner through unanimous decision... RHIANNON FISH!!!

Post-fight:
Brunette's relieved at the verdict, closes her eyes and shakes her fist with coach Gina Wild slamming against the corner post and shouting German words in excitement. She perfectly knows how close this one was however Fish secures her third win on the bounce by a narrow margin after a very cagey affair where neither girl was able to even score a knockdown.

Meanwhile Emilie Ullerup can't accept the verdict and argues with the judges until coach Amanda Tapping drags her away to the locker room. She performed much better tonight than last time around vs Sanderson, but came up just short anyway. Admittedly the three inches height advantage helped her to keep the brunette at bay but she couldn't enforce her presence and failed to add Rhiannon's scalp to the ones of Heidi Range and Jeanette Biedermann she already has under her belt.
