Isla Fisher (BronzedOz Boxing) still hasn't gotten over the fact she got punched out by Heidi Range (Lioness Club) and is desperate to make amends for that humiliation as she targets Heidi's Sugababes' bandmate, Jade Ewen (Kear's Kats) as her next opponent. Jade is far less exprienced than Heidi, having fought only once in BBU so far, but she won convincingly on her debut, knocking out fellow rookie Perrie Edwards. Whether that's enough to cause any problems for the Australian actress remains to be seen as Jade is still very much an unknown quantity allthough Isla is yet to win a fight herself.

Round 1:
Fisher shows a great deal aggression early on, throwing punches all over the singer's body, but she only grazes the flesh as Jade's footwork enables her to stay out of trouble. She works the single hand in response, but fails to connect properly and just fuels the redhead's stance who keeps leaping around her and looking for a break through. There's a lot of mean intentions from Fisher but she just can't find that one solid punch and reverts into body bashing for remainder of the round. Ewen doesn't look as keen to make an early statement herself allthough she lands a low jabbing series to the ribcage late in the going and misses an uppercut follow up, perhaps a sign of things to come later on.

Round 2:
More aggressive leaps from the redhead who finally nails the singer with a clubbing hook around the gloves and she pours in with more shots to the chest, bounces off Jade's rack and cracks a huge left hook on the jaw that spins Ewen back to the ropes! Fisher all over the singer now, throwing wide slaps to the body, but she's rushed that approach, almost too excited with her prospects and Jade clinches her despite taking more shots to the ribs. Fisher continues to pummel her down low until the ref shoves her away and Jade whacks a single hand response, snaps Isla's head back and dekes out of trouble as Fisher fails to close the distance again before the bell.

Round 3:
Isla's confident of success, she squares up to her rival again and throws a flurry of shots to the midsection, forcing Jade to cover up. Fisher is really keen to make some headway tonight and shows no intentions of slowing down as she whips low hooks to the stomach, breaks through the guard and lands a straight jab on the jaw and Jade wobbles back to the ropes. She jumps to the side in the last moment as Isla was flying with a left hook to the temple, but lost her footing and bounced off the ropes as Jade was long gone from there, circling back to center of the ring. Both girls remain in mid-distance for remainder of the round as Isla seemingly found some much-needed composure while Jade just looks frightened out there for the time being.

Round 4:
Fisher continues her harrassing game and has Ewen ducking and weaving around the ring, unable to break the redhead's momentum. Isla targets the ribcage again and finds more success but she switches the tactics in the second minute and whips couple of menacing hooks around the face as Jade slows down a bit and gets caught under the elbows with Isla showing more agility and precision in the proccess. Couple of low jabs make the singer moan in pain and Isla works the single hand seemingly poised to bend Ewen in half but Jade forces another clinch as the redhead closed in too much and left her right arm free to grab a hold of. Jade with some low jabs in the stalemate but both girls tangle up against the ropes with Ewen leaning back and forcing the ref to step in and separate them. Ewen tries another quick jump to the side but Isla figured out that move and staggers her with a left hook on the cheek, follows up with a right jab on the navel and Jade's rooted to the spot, covers up, but gets pinned to the ropes for good and Isla pounds her to the stomach, whacks a series on the head but fails to break through the high guard and looks somewhat tired at the end of the round. It's still all about the redhead but she breaths heavily during the interval having spend a lot of energy so far and some questions marks must be raised over her fitness.

Round 5:
Jade was schooled in the ring so far but she notices some fitness flaws in the opposite corner and indeed, Fisher takes some time at the start of the fifth and refuses to attack the singer like she did in all the previous rounds. That spurs Jade into launching some attacks herself and as she fakes some jabs to the midsection; Isla misses a left hook counter and gets nailed by a quick right hand which landed straight on her nose. Ewen follows up with with left hook on the temple and that has the crowd buzzing again as Isla steps back and begins to circle around but Jade keeps her honest with more single striking from the top. Fisher tries to regain control of the fight but Ewen laces her between the arms and bounces off the jugs herself before landing another hook on the temple and Isla's defence gets exposed for the first time tonight as she seemingly concedes the round and steps back to the ropes. Jade wants to trap her in the corner but the redhead blocks some wild punches from the singer, responds with a chaotic sequence but neither girl is able to inflct any damage and the general level of their skills isn't of the highest standard but Jade keeps throwing shots at the actress until the bell and secures her first round of the night. The twelve years age difference might just start to be showing as Isla didn't look as sharp and quick as she did in the first four rounds.

Round 6:
Isla comes out swinging, seemingly catching the second breath but Jade squares up to her and both girls exchange in a trademark flyweight punchfest in the middle of the ring with the redhead nailing her rival on the cheeks but getting some back on the ribs as well. Finally a big left hook pierces through Fisher's defence and catches her on the jaw as Jade pours all-in with flurry of shots and snaps Isla's head back repeatedly, forcing the actress to step away, not without some footwork issues and a solid left on the liver bends her in half. Ewen walks her back to the ropes, throwing furious leather and Isla ducks and weaves on her feet, finally escaping into safety after the singer wore herself out a bit, but Fisher's breathing heavily again, getting involved in such a ferocious stand-off with a younger opponent doesn't seem to be the best tactics anymore given her potential fitness worries and the age difference. Jade slows down in the final minute but leaps after the redhead again inside the dying seconds and catches Isla with a flying hook just before the bell as the actress' footwork proved inferior yet another time. Isla spits out her mouthpiece and gestures towards her rival but Jade only gives her a death stare in return and it doesn't look like the older girl has turned the tables in this round anyway.

Round 7:
Jade comes forward again, advised of her foe's physical condition by coach Gail Kim and Isla tries to weave around the ring in avoidance but her footwork isn't sufficient enough anymore and she eats leather with Ewen thumping low jabs to her ribcage. Credit to Fisher though, she responds with some venom up high, swings couple of hooks on the head and skims off the mitts before landing a sharp right hook on the liver and that forces the singer to wince in pain. Follow up to the chest backs Jade briefly but she whips a left hook from mid-range and snaps Isla's head back one more time and steps right up with more shots to the stomach. Fisher tries to clinch, gets nailed across the mouth with a quick left and Ewen is keen to break her resilience, throwing more punches to the chest. Isla circles back into safety, drops her arms and teases the younger girl into some ill-advised action, but Jade keeps her focus, works the single hand from behind the guard and wears the redhead even more until the bell, forcing her to leap around in avoidance, tiring those old legs in the proccess. Isla leans on the ropes after the bell and looks exhausted already, something that Jade's camp surely cannot ignore with three rounds still left in this one.

Round 8:
Despite severe breathing triubles Isla tries to mount another challenge and lashes out at the singer straight off the bell but the lack of speed and agility is visible now and she only grazes the flesh, cuts harmlessly through the air and is left exposed into a vicious response as Jade whips couple of big hooks on the head and Fisher's arms are slow to raise, more head-snapping as a result and Ewen pours in with a jabbing series to the ribcage, backs the aching actress to the ropes and continues to work her over with no sympathy whatsoever. Fisher winces in pain and tries to clinch but Jade leaps around her, keeps pinned to the ropes with single striking over the top and Isla's guard gets torn into pieces as the redhead sinks on her knees, takes another series of hooks around the mitts bang on her cheeks and her face matches her hair color now as Jade looks extemely fresh given the timeline of this bout. Ewen just doesn't let go here and continues to pepper the cumbersome rival until the final minute, left hook on the eye, right on the nose and Isla's eyes stare at her with sheer disbelief. Jade looks to have gotten angry and keen to send the actress down but she finally needs to catch some breath herself, leans on the redhead and settles for a clinch and allthough Isla survives another round, she walks very slowly to her corner and the cutmen are quick to attend some cuts on her cheeks as Jade's relentless efforts took their toll and left visible marks on the Aussie girl's face.

Round 9:
Fisher's very slow off her stool and it's no surprise that Ewen jumps after her without any hesitation. Isla knows she's up for another onslaught but can't do much about the singer's ferocious jabbing which pierces her guard time and time again as Jade gives her another head-snapping experience, doesn't show much signs of slowing down and whacks couple of big hooks on the nose that force the actress to wobble back to the ropes. More venom follows as Ewen rips a jabbing sequence on the liver area, Fisher bends forward wincing in agony and drops her arms too low; Jade with a mammoth left hook on the temple and FISHER GOES DOWN ON HER KNEES!!! Point-blank range execution from the younger girl which Ieaves Isla staring at the canvas but the redhead bravely beats the count at seven albeit glowing red all over her face. Jade bunny hops around her waiting for the command and rips into her midsection straight away as Isla staggers on the ropes and takes more unanswered punishment. Ewen with wide slaps to the body, now it's hert turn to get carried away though as she almost sees that juicy knockout in her mind but Isla's turtle-like defence allows her to stand upright even though referee looks on concerned. But Jade wears out herself and despite ferocious striking, crashes off the arms and gloves and must settle for another late clinch as the clock expires soon afterwards. That was a golden chance gone begging for the singer, however she seems to have this one in the bag anyway as Isla's early scorecard advantage surely must have been wiped out with that knockdown.

Round 10:
Jade's chest is pumping up and down but that's nothing compared to Isla's problems. The actress looks utterly spend and becomes an easy tagret as the singer works the single hand again and closes the distance with ease. Fisher tries to hang back around the ropes but gets laced repeatedly and just doesn't have the legs to avoid the leather anymore. Ewen walks her down to the corner and allthough skims off the forearms initially, she meets no resistance and just keeps bashing the aching redhead. Coach Gail Kim urges Jade to finish it off but Isla's all covered up and prevents Ewen to connect with her face. Jade's efforts slow down a bit in the second minute and she crashes off the gloves again but then leans on her rival and sends low jabs to the ribcage, forcing the actress to drop her arms lower as she winces in pain. Jade with more low blows to the ribs, doesn't target the head anymore but it proves successful as Isla sinks down on her knees and gets literally thumped into the ground with all that midsection pummelling. She bends to the side as Jade's left jabs catch her around the elbows time and time again and a right hook nails her on the ear moments later. FISHER SITS DOWN ON THE CANVAS as the legs finally crumble underneath her!!! Ewen wipes the sweat off her forehead and watches on as teary-eyed Isla scrambles herself back upright at nine, refusing to accept defeat but looking battered physically nonetherless. Last few seconds and Ewen seemingly gives up on the knockout, she's feeling the affects of this gruesome contest as well and another clinch runs down the clock as Isla closes her eyes and looks relieved just to make it until the final bell. And there it is!!! Ewen raises her arms in winning gesture while Fisher turns around and falls on the ropes completely exhausted.

After ten rounds of boxing we go to the scorecards.... Judges score the bout 97-92 on all three cards for your winner through unanimous decision... JADE EWEN!!!

Post-fight:
Jade punches the air in delight while Isla shakes her head but there can't be any questions marks over that verdict. Quick look at the scorecards indicates first round was a draw, next three all for Fisher, but a Jade Ewen rout since the fifth sealed her victory in convincing fashion underlined by couple of late knockdowns.

The Kear's Kats entourage embraces the winner with coach Gail Kim sharing a friendly hug with her protegee while Isla just slumps on her stool and needs a lenghty pause before she can even get her breath back. Physical shape proved Isla's biggest problem and allthough she lasted the distance after couple of quick defeats earlier in her career; she didn't show anything noteworthy in the latter stages and basically allowed Jade to pound her into exhaustion. If this scenario keeps up in future fights, Isla might be better advised to only challenge women north side of 30 as Ewen despite being a newcomer to BBU, really exposed her subpar fitness and the age factor on top of that.

Meanwhile there are still some rumours about Jade challenging Juno Temple in a high-profile clash of the newcomers next. Having a Foxfire Atlantic scalp hasn't hurt anyone's resume thus far and coach Gail Kim remains mysteriously quiet on those prospect. Are the Kats preparing a secret weapon for Temple? Jade Ewen showed she can punch and last the distance at the same time and looks poised into making some real headway in the upcoming months!
