FIGHT OF THE YEAR

2. BIEL/ PEREGRYM A fine lightweight brawl. Both went down, In the end Biel was the last one standing, winning by a KO9

1. PALICKI/ PEREGRYM A fight between two top ten lightweights. Not a fight with a lot of knockdowns, but a fight of two fighters doing what they do best. It went twelve rounds to a decision


KNOCKOUT OF THE YEAR

2, BEIL/ GARNER. Biel sent Garner into retirement with a vicious second round KO

1. WINSTEAD/ SWAN A single over hand right in the second round left Swan out cold


DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE YEAR

TAYLOR COLE A a three time former champion had only three fights during the year and lost all three. She is on a four fight losing streak


ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

JOANNE KELLY Had five fights winning them all with wins over Ruah, Peregrym and Ryan. Unfortunately she is 34. A little old for a rookie

NOTE Jennifer Lawrence would get support for the rookie of the year, but she debuted in June of last year,


UPSET OF THE YEAR

MITRA/ PALICKI The little known Mitra, seven years older and four inches shorter shocked the FCBA world with a TKO win over the highly ranked Palicki

KALEY CUCUO After living in the shadow of Jessica Biel, she came on to have an undefeated year, capping the year on a six fight winning streak by taking the lightweight title from Rachel Nichols


WELTERWEIGHTS

2 LIMA/ BROOK A fight for the Ice Hotel title A real donnybrook. Both went down. Lima was saved by the bell once, only to win the fight by a TKO in waning seconds of the tenth

1 LIMA/ RYAN An slugging action fan’s dream. Ryan went down three times. Lima went down three times, the last time for the count in the tenth


KNOCKOUT OF THE YEAR

BJORLIN/ THERON Charlize was looking good for the first four minutes of the fight when a booming Bjorlin right put her out like a light for minutes


ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

NONE


DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE YEAR

ALI LANDRY. This Hall Of Fame welterweight only had three fights and won none


UPSET OF THE YEAR

PATTON/ RIGHETTI Patton, a run of the mill welter, stunned the FCBA with a knockout of the number one welter


FIGHTER OF THE YEAR

CASSIDY FREEMAN She went 4-0-1 for the year. Going back to her last fight in 2011, she has a list of victims that include Govich, Nolin, Bjorlin. Brook and Patton. In the last PPV fight with Heigl, the fight ended at the end of ten as a draw. Heigl chickened out , refusing to go extra rounds.
