Hilary Duff versus Kelly Clarkson

BEFORE: This is the third match this year between these two and the tiebreaker, as Duff won the first match and Clarkson won the second. Both of them are type-rivals and they know it, knowing that they can't move forward until one of them establishes themselves as a step ahead. Whether this fight will provide that kind of separation is what we'll find out, but both fighters believe that it will. Haylie Duff once again showing up as Clarkson's sparring partner, provoking a very heated response by Hilary. Both Duff girls shoving at one another, Hilary momentary losing her focus on Clarkson as ringside officials separate the two.

Hilary's nostrils flaring and eyes narrowing as she turns her rage towards Clarkson, “I can't stand her. Can't stand her! When it comes to type rivals, we beat them down. Lookout! girls don't back down and we don't let them crowd our space. This is my space and my ring. I'm going to focus on closing out Clarkson and then, Haylie is going to pay for picking against me again! She'll see how wrong she is!”

Clarkson all smiles, winning the psychological part of it and now it'll be time for her to see whether that translates to a physical victory as well, “Duff knows that her first win against me was lucky, which is why I shut her down the next time we fought. I'm in her head now and soon, I'm going to be all over her in the ring. Haylie beat her, I'm going to beat her and then, we're going to learn that Duff isn't so tuff after all! It's going to be all me from here on out!”

Hilary emerging wearing a sleek black bikini, hair in a fighting ponytail with matching gloves; Clarkson wearing a baby blue bikini with matching gloves and hair close around her face.

R1: Both fighters immediately manuever to the center of the ring, eager to get to work on one another. Hilary the aggressor early on, just using her sturdy thighs to push forward and pounding away at Kelly's tummy. Kelly not retreating though, retaliating with stout hooks with her forearms drilling punches into Hilary's ribs. Slamming away at one another, eyes flashing, leather spanking away at one another's torso as slowly, Clarkson starts to outwork Duff down the stretch. It's close, but notable as Clarkson delivers a few hard shots around Duff's face, head and shoulders to take the round. Duff's eyes flaring dangerously as she stomps back to her corner; Kelly exchanging a high five with Haylie.

R2: Perhaps a little early to celebrate for Kelly as Hilary surges from her corner, just firing shots towards Kelly's head and shoulders early on, trying to knock Clarkson down. Kelly weathering the storm very well early, just shooting out rights and lefts for Duff's tummy. Duff displaying good footwork, avoiding most of the tummy work and then retaliating with hard-fought rights and lefts. Steadily bodying Clarkson back towards the ropes and Kelly's gaze momentarily shifts back to the ropes as they are approaching. Unfortunately for Kelly, if your focus drops for a moment in a boxing match – you can get dropped. That's what happens here as a right cross clips her chin and sends Kelly to the match in the middle minute of this round. Clarkson gets back to her feet, but it's pure Duff dominance from that point forward. Clarkson stumbles back to ropes as Duff pounces her from the moment she staggers to her feet, bringing up her guard as she is buffeted around her head and shoulders with a series of furious blows. Slamming in rights and lefts up top, then switching her focus down to quivering Clarkson tummy. Clarkson dazed as she slumps in her corner and Duff shoves off of her with a grin, dominating her from bell to bell this round in an overwhelming display. Hilary shooting Haylie a cool gaze as she saunters back to her corner.

R3: Clarkson comes out from her corner a little dazed, still suffering the effects of the previous round's beatdown. Hilary comes forward aggressive again, stuffing right-left series of hooks towards Clarkson's tummy, eager to shove her opponent back into the ropes again. Clarkson bumping forward, slamming her shoulder in against Duff's chest and some bumper car boxing is in effect between the two, but as Duff lunges forward, bull-rushing Clarkson to the ropes, Clarkson manages to twist Duff into the ropes. At that point, Clarkson takes over, just stuffing right hands into Hilary's tummy and lefts across her chin, dazing Duff. Duff slumps into the ropes and it's her turn to bring her guard up, battering away at Duff's defenses. Duff butt-in-ropes, slumping down, clearly woozy as she manages some offense, but not enough to slow down Clarkson. The ref has to pull a snarling Clarkson off of Duff, who is clearly ass-kicked at the bell. It's a much more confident Clarkson heading back to her corner this time around.

R4: Clarkson eager to finish what she started as Duff staggers out of her corner. It's a two-way exchange at the start, however, as Duff is driving Clarkson backwards with some pounding rights and lefts towards Kel's tummy. Kelly responds back with a hard stuffing right uppercut deep into Hilary's tummy, doubling her over for a moment and then driving in with a stunning follow-up cross that sends Hilary pitching forward to the canvas. Clarkson crows with excitement as Duff manages to beat the count, getting to her feet clutching her tummy. The early knockdown has Duff in a daze and Clarkson moves quickly to capitalize, just slamming her shoulder in to knock Hilary out of position and then driving in brutal-looking hooks and jabs towards Duff's breadbasket. Duff doubling over again, groaning out as Clarkson seems to paralyze her with repeated shots to her torso, ribs and tummy. Clarkson keeps coming on though each time Duff fights back, just pounding at Hilary's body as she starts to slump towards her knees. At that point, the ref has seen enough and stops the match! Hilary shouting out “NO!”, her protests coming in gasps as she tries to make it to her feet. Clarkson smirks down at her as the ref awards Kelly the match via TKO4!

AFTER: It's a bitter setback for Hilary as Clarkson is a type-rival and a loss like this is unacceptable for Duff. Clarkson excited in the aftermath, almost giddy as she just leans forward into Duff's breathless face, singing out “Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.”, one of her hit singles from 2012, emphasizing the final word of the lyric as she flexes her forearms right in Hilary's face, almost making Hilary burst into tears. But she doesn't, just blinking back tears of pain and betrayal, glaring over at Haylie and then back at Clarkson. But, Clarkson has moved away and faced the press, leaving a seething Hilary to head out of the ring, vowing revenge to anybody who listens. But, one person who isn't listening is Kelly Clarkson, who is just declaring her supremacy, “Hilary kicked Elisha and Minka's ass once upon a time, so why can't I? I could take down all the Lookout! girls and Hilary is just the start. She's in my rear-view mirror now - it's time for those girls to learn how much STRONGER I am!”, flexing her forearms again to show off with a smirk, vowing to flatten more of the division in the wake of this big win.
