A surprising entry in the BBU Christmas Special PPV with the organization's leading reporter Denise van Outen - fresh from her runner-up finish in Dancing with the Stars ITV event - taking on fellow communications department stalwart and former model, Kristy Hinze from Wildetime Boxing. The Aussie blonde is five years younger and four inches taller than van Outen but makes her debut appearace in the ring and as Denise herself indicates, she was a late replacement after Kate Garraway, Andrea McLean and Christine Bleakley all refused to fight the Essex blonde during the Christmas event. "I guess none of them wanted to get roughed up around Christmas and New Year period", van Outen shows little respect to her fellow journalists but holds back on accessing Hinze's potential. "We've had few drinks here and there but I don't know what is she like in the ring. I hope she's better than Bleakley though and I won't get bored while knocking her out!"

Round 1:
Flamboyant approach from van Outen who drops her arms, leans on Hinze and tries to tease her into some attacks.. BANG... Right hand on the nose and Denise blinks in disbelief as Kristy pours in with hooks on the head and catches the Essex blonde on the cheeks and wobbles her back inside the opening ten seconds. Hinze lashes out at the ribs, pummels through and bounces off the chest throws a left hook on the jaw and DOWS GOES VAN OUTEN hard on her backside!!! Shock among the Barnet audience but Denise clearly paid a heavy prize for toying around. And she is mad! She gets up at five, shoves the ref away and jumps after Hinze only to crash off the leather and eat more jabs on the chin with Kristy breaking through her mitts and snapping her head back even further; ribcage pummelling follows and van Outen sags on the ropes with Kristy rocking her head back and forth, left hand on the navel, right on the chin and VAN OUTEN SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES again!! Punching bag practice for the Aussie model as Denise stares at the canvas but gets up at seven. She doesn't leap after her foe this time, tries to bide some time along the ropes but here come Hinze! Left hook on the nose, right on the cheek, she's shattering the Essex blonde's guard, point-blank range execution, another right on the mouth, left on the temple and van Outen caves in, butt-in ropes, covers up as Kristy peppers her mitts, whacks a gutwrencher on the navel and DENISE SITS DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE sobbing in a mix of anger and humiliation!!! Ref doesn't even bother with the count. Get that clock checked... 1 minute and 45 seconds of the opening round... It's all over... KO R1 Kristy Hinze!!!

Post-fight:
Ridiculous finish from the model-turned-presenter and she looks as shocked as the entire Barnet crowd. That's the fastest win on a debut in BBU history beating the previous mark set by Melissa Suffield back in August! Oh, Denise will take a lot of slack after that one and she's not even gotten up as Kristy waves to the crowd almost ashamed she smoked one of the proudest members of the BBU organization in less than two minutes!

Denise finally gets up and tries to square up to Kristy but gets shoved back by the ref. She throws some abuse towards both him and her conqueror and leaves the ring among loud whistles and jeers from the crowd. She's suffered some defeats in the past but nothing like this! Indeed, that early teasing blew right up in her face and Hinze as a former model showed some skill and clearly surprised the Essex blonde with her performance, However knowing the size of van Outen's ego, she won't leave this duell like that for long.

Final result: Kristy Hinze def. Denise van Outen KO1
