FCBA Magazine's Top 10 Rankings
(Volume 2)

These are our own Top 10 Rankings for each division here in the Female Celebrity Boxing Association. (FCBA).

These are not intended to replace or in any way diminish the rankings put out by Boxing World Online, which are far more exhaustive in scope. Neither is intended to conflict with rankings by Tractorpull Magazine or any other media organization. However, these are our rankings created by an independent panel here at FCBA Rankings. These rankings are simply another perspective, intended to emphasize two important things that we feel are crucial to the continued success in the FCBA.

1) Staying active is very important. We realize there are a very high number of stables and fighters in the FCBA, while conversely there are only so many PPV spots available. We also realize that in stables, you sometimes have to go with whichever fighter is successful at that time and other fighters in your stable may not get the same push. Given that there are so many other alternatives to promote a fighter in events or matches outside of a PPV, however, we cannot continue to rank a fighter as one of the best in the FCBA if they go months (in some cases over a year) without any active competition or success. Some fighters might be found in the top 10 and have yet to compete this year. Some fighters have had only 2-3 fights a year (or less) which is not enough to remain in active rankings other over more active fighters. Inactivity cannot be rewarded. We will look at past results, but a large part of our decision will be “What have you done for me lately?” Hopefully, what you've done to be in the top 10 is to kick some butt.

2) As mentioned by most organized sports bodies, strength of schedule is highly important. There are fighters in the top ten who have never had to face anybody in the top ten, but have instead taken on fighters who are not in active FCBA competition or out of their weight class. We're not sure who to attribute the quote to, but it's said: in order to be the best, you have to beat the best. If you want to be ranked in the top ten, you need to be taking on fighters in the top ten. Now, there is something to be said for top ranked fighters willing to take on newer fighters to give them experience or a chance to prove themselves, but if that's the majority of your resume, you need to test yourself against tougher competition if you intend to stay that highly ranked. If you have the talent, then it'll show itself when you're taking on the best in your division and separating yourself into elite territory. While we realize one of the current requirements to get into the Tractorpull Hall Of Fame is to reach a 60 percent win ratio, reach that mark with pride.

Also, a few caveats:

First of all, recognize that these are not the only two tools we will use to decide the top ten but these are two highly important criteria that will be highly considered.

Second, rankings are highly subjective and by nature, controversial. Some fighter, stable or manager will always feel left out. However, that is never our intention. These are only meant to reflect the current state of the top ten fighters in each division and is subject to change on a regular basis as the FCBA is an extremely active sports body.

Third, these are only meant to be helpful and guiding, but in no way restrictive. Once a fighter holds a championship belt, they are not by any means required to take on a fighter in the top 10. However, our magazine does feel its important for a champion to study the rankings to reward fighters who have been active, successful and have put in the work to reach the top ten rankings. But, it is, as always, champion's choice. A match outside of the Top 10 can provide some impressive, exciting and unexpected results. Those are always good for the FCBA.

Fourth, we intend for this to be completely fair and neutral as possible. Once a fighter has reached the top ten, it's because they have earned it through success and they deserve to considered one of the elite fighters in the FCBA. Nothing else will earn you a spot on the top 10. We are immune to bribes. If you do have any bribes to offer though, we will of course, respectfully listen.

Fifth, have fun. The whole point of the FCBA is to have fun. These rankings are mainly here to highlight those who are both active and successful in the FCBA. The rankings are also there to give fighters not currently in the top ten something to strive towards. It's there to give the champions a little potential help when selecting their next title defense. However, the important thing is that you and the other managers you're collaborating with are enjoying themselves. Hopefully, everybody here is enjoying the Female Celebrity Boxing Association (FCBA).

One of the best things about a Top 10 list of any kind is that it'll promote discussion, hopefully in a respectful and thoughtful format. Although we understand that trash-talk, snark or insults may be a result between fighters. We do encourage that!

However, if there are any mistakes that you feel we've made, any further consideration that should be given, any argument that you would make in favor of a particular fighter, thoughts in regards to a snub we've made, any corrections we should make or just any general thoughts, opinions or ideas on our current Top 10 Rankings, please let us know. E-mail us, post on the boards or contact us any way possible to inform us and we'll look forward to any responses you may have. We appreciate how active, passionate and informed those who follow and participate in the FCBA are. We cannot thank you enough and hope that this helps you out. Enjoy!
