BEFORE:

"Look, let's do the math here," says Rachel, shaking her head. "Seyfried is, what, HALF the fighter Allison Mack is? And MY record against Mack is 1-1-1...and it would be 2-1 if it hadn't been for horrible judging the first time we fought. So, if I can fight Mack to a standstill, what chance does THIS tart have?"

"Maybe I'm not as good as Allison," says Amanda with a smile. "But, I'm not fighting Allison, am I? I'm fighting Rachel Stevens, and I AM better than HER, as she's about to find out."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside as the card continues with Rachel Stevens battling Amanda Seyfried, and, Mac, Tess on record as favoring Amanda..."

McCarthy: "I'm going to disagree, Jenny..."

Tess: "Like Claude Rains, 'Shocked! Shocked!..."

McCarthy: "I'm not sure who Clogged Drains is or what he has to do with boxing, but I agree with Rachel. Seyfried isn't even as good as that overrated tramp Mack, and Stevens is better than BOTH of them! Front Street is about to go 0-4 on the night!"

Tess: "Similar styles here, Mac."

McCarthy: "We may make an analyst out of you YET, Walmart. Both of these girls like to fight busy in close. Stevens is the traditional pressure fighter. Loves working the body. Amanda isn't as disciplined. A little wilder. Tends to go for the big shot more often, which sometimes puts her in bad position."

O'Dell: "And speaking of Ms. Seyfried, that's 'Mamma Mia!' you hear, and here comes Amanda!"

Tess: "I keep trying to convince Wiz to get rid of the ABBA music..."

O'Dell: "Hang on, it's going to get worse. Seyfried into the ring, helped off with the robe by Jewel and Allison Mack..."

McCarthy: "What's THAT tramp doing up there? Isn't she fighting later? Does she have a trainer's license? Get her OUT of there..."

Tess: "Jewel and Neve are the trainers. Allison is helping out for this fight, as she has first-hand knowledge of Ms. Stevens."

O'Dell: "Amanda wearing that yellow bikini she favors. Aaaaand, as promised, it's getting worse, musically, anyway."

McCarthy: "What's THAT noise?"

Tess: "Surprised you don't remember 'More, More, More', Mac. It's from the Disco Era. You know. Back in YOUR day...the seventies..."

McCarthy: "MY day was not THE SEVENT...IT'S STILL MY DAY, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "The Andrea True Connection had the big hit with this song, but the version you're hearing is by the lady climbing into the ring, Rachel Stevens. Stevens helped off with the robe to reveal a white number that the audience clearly appreciates. Referee giving the fighters instructions..."

Tess: "Question, Mac. Does the ref even BOTHER to tell NOLIN not to hit low, or does he just save his breath..."

McCarthy: "You're about as funny as Pauly Shore, you know that?"

O'Dell: "Aaannnd, before we offend anyone ELSE, there's the bell for round one. Stevens working forward right away, going body, then upstairs, landing clean stuff. Backing Amanda up."

McCarthy: "Seyfried needs to show some movement. Standing right in front of Rachel, and Stevens getting off."

O'Dell: "Rachel using that left hook to punish the ribs. Definitely has the range with it. Seyfried being forced back. Covering up."

McCarthy: "You know, Walmart, you might just be right about something..."

Tess: "What would THAT be, Mac..."

McCarthy: "This girl just MIGHT be on her way out of Front Street. She hasn't had a good year. She hasn't developed. And we all know Weirdo is flavor of the month..."

O'Dell: "And the flavor of the moment is Rachel Stevens, who's putting a cherry on top of this excellent first round, thumping away at Seyfried, backing her up again, forcing her to cover up, scoring to the body right to the bell. That's a great start for Rachel..."

McCarthy: "A 10-9 lead. But that round is worth a lot more than a point to Stevens. That kind of dominating performance can be more that a little demoralizing, especially for a girl who's been struggling like Seyfried."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Seyfried got a whispered earfull from Allison between rounds..."

Tess: "If you were in her corner, Mac, what would you be telling her?"

McCarthy: "She has to show more movement. Move the feet, the head, the shoulders. And she needs to let her hands go."

O'Dell: "Bell for the second and Stevens landing to the body and now Amanda banging right back. Nice short uppercut to the chin from Seyfried got Rachel's attention."

Tess: "Amanda's best punch of the fight."

O'Dell: "And she's following up nicely downstairs, now throwing Rachel over to the defensive. Backing Stevens up again..."

McCarthy: "Stevens hooking the ribs again in response. Those are going to be sore tonight."

O'Dell: "Amanda fires back with a flurry to the head! Only a couple of those landed, but they scored."

McCarthy: "And they forced Rachel backward."

O'Dell: "Both girls digging body now. Seyfried again a short uppercut that finds the range. Amanda more accurate this round and it's having an effect. Rachel still landing, but Seyfried having the better of things to the bell. All even through two, ladies?"

McCarthy: "19-19. Good round for Seyfried..."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Round three underway and Stevens right back to the body, slips a right hook from Amanda, NAILS her with a right to the chin. Stevens busy in tight, working those ribs and abs, and again has Seyfried in retreat."

McCarthy: "Rachel made a little adjustment between rounds. Fighting with the hands a bit higher and the head a bit lower. Picking off and ducking Seyfried's shots. Got Amanda a bit tentative now. She's looking for openings and not getting off."

O'Dell: "But Stevens certainly is. Rachel working the body, backing Seyfried up, coming upstairs, then right back down. Imposing her will on the younger fighter."

McCarthy: "Amanda needs to get off. She's standing around too much."

O'Dell: "Rachel a solid left...RIGHT UPPERCUT, SEYFRIED! STEVENS STAGGERED! LEFT HOOK TO THE HEAD! RIGHT TO THE CHIN! DOWN GOES RACHEL!"

McCarthy: "The uppercut was the punch! Stevens was out on her feet!"

Tess: "And now she's out on her BACK!"

O'Dell: "Count at six. Seven. Eight. Stevens unmoving. Nine. Ten! And that quickly, it's OVER! Your winner by KO3, 'The Assassin', Amanda Seyfried!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Amanda Seyfried, and, Amanda, how big a win IS this for you?"

Amanda: "Look, it's competitive at Front Street. It's not like some stables that have one fighter at a weight. You need to win to keep up. I've lost some tough ones this year. And Stevens can fight. This was a big opportunity for me. And I needed to take advantage. I did that tonight."
