BEFORE:

"Everyone knows Victoria can box," says a stone-faced Jamie Lynn. "If you can box Keira Knightley, you can box. But that's not going to be enough tonight. I've heard a lot of hating, and I'm about to start shutting those people UP."

"Oh, I know all about Jamie Lynn and how inconsistent she is," says a smiling Posh. "But, here's the thing. I'm not even HERE if Debby Ryan doesn't get hurt in training. I'm the late game substitute being sent on for fresh legs. And the inconsistent tyro is about to find out these legs ARE fresh enough to put the ball in the back of the net."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Follow Me' you hear blasting behind me, and here comes 'The Princess', Jamie Lynn Spears!"

McCarthy: "No sign of that big smile she normally wears. No joy in Mudville tonight."

Tess: "Ever BEEN to Mudville, Mac?"

McCarthy: "No, but I've been in a cesspool...this arena!"

Tess: "Actually, this place is gorgeous, especially decorated for the holidays!"

McCarthy: "Too bad it's infested with VERMIN. Weirdo and his stable of RATS."

O'Dell(sighing): "Into the ring climbs Jamie Lynn accompanied by Britney. She's helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, who'll climb down and take chairs ringside while big sis handles the corner. Jamie Lynn in the familiar pink bikini bouncing up and down...and that's 'Wannabe' you hear and this crowd is POPPING for Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham of Beever's Babes!"

McCarthy: "My sources inside Front Street..."

Tess: "Which don't exist..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys!"

McCarthy: "AS I was saying, my SOURCES inside Front Street confirm that the original opponent for Spears WAS Debby Ryan, who has a high ankle sprain and had to back out of the bout. Beckham was a last-minute replacement."

O'Dell: "Posh into the ring, helped off with the robe. And she can still ROCK that white bikini. Ladies about ready to go. Tess on record as favoring Jamie Lynn. What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Beckham IS a useful boxer, but she doesn't have the physicality to hang in with Spears, so I'm going with Jamie Lynn, despite the fact that this kid is apparently capable of losing to anyone."

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Spears looking to go the pressure route. Beckham not having it. Using those legs, moving behind her left hand. She's got a long reach for this weight and she's using it. Snapping jabs into the blonde's face. Legging. Forcing Spears to chase."

McCarthy: "Obviously, if you've seen Beckham dance, you know she's athletic, and she's using some of that athleticism now to good effect."

O'Dell: "Spears not bothered. Seems willing to take stock and scout Beckham out at this point."

McCarthy: "Not a bad tactic for a veteran like ME, for example. You can give away a point for some intel. But for a girl like Spears, who's still green, still hasn't gotten to twenty fights, you might not want to get into a hole."

Tess: "You know who does that a lot, does recon for the first couple of rounds, Allison..."

McCarthy: "WALmartttttt..."

Tess: "'Mack The Knife' Mack..."

McCarthy: "I SWEAR, Walmart..."

O'Dell: "Ladies, if we could get back to the action. The final seconds of the first winding down, and Spears content to shadow Beckham to the bell. Good start for Victoria."

Tess: "10-9 Beckham, who's looking pleased with herself on the way back to her corner."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back in action now for the second, and Posh still using those dancing quality legs, snapping out that left hand, keeping Jamie Lynn off as Spears continues to stalk. Jamie Lynn lands a left, misses a right, back with a left hook...AND ROCKS BECKHAM WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

McCarthy: "This kid has HEAVY hands for a flyweight..."

O'Dell: "Spears getting to work now, banging body on Posh. Beckham clinching, tying Jamie Lynn up. Spears punching free and backing Victoria up with a nice flurry. Spears hooking those ribs, looking to bring down the guard, but Posh not biting, banging back instead with a nice flurry of her own."

McCarthy: "Beckham not punking, Jenny. Resisting the clean up attempt by the younger girl."

O'Dell: "And doing so effectively. Giving as good as she gets as the pair exchange and exchange again here in the final seconds of the round. Posh with a nice left, Spears right hooks the body and there's the bell. Spears' round no doubt, but Beckham able to firm things up and deny any jailbreaks."

Tess: "19 all through two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round underway and the young blonde looking to follow up now, pressuring Victoria, but Posh not having any. Using those legs and that left jab to slow down Spears' advance, using her quick hands and boxing skill to score points from a distance."

McCarthy: "Jamie Lynn may want to think about going to work body here. Starting to get into those legs. Posh, as we said, is an effective boxer, but she's not going to be able to standing in front of Jamie Lynn all night."

O'Dell: "Which is why she's not trying to do it. Victoria putting punches together very well right now, keeping Spears at bay. Jamie Lynn landing some, but it's all single shots."

McCarthy: "You've got to give Posh credit, she's fighting her fight right now and forcing a younger, less experienced girl OUT of hers."

O'Dell: "And it's gotten her back in the lead, as Victoria lands another flurry to end the third, a shutout round for Beckham."

Tess: "Again, Posh looking pleased with herself heading back to the corner. 29-28 through three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Into the fourth now and Jamie Lynn again looking to pressure. Using good footwork and head movement to close, hooking the body and banging home shots to the head. Posh answering back with a combination of her own and Spears let's the hands go and ROCKS Beckham! Jamie Lynn banging away with those heavy hands now. Victoria onto the defensive, covering up."

McCarthy: "This is the fight Spears wants."

O'Dell: "But, again, Victoria won't punk! Beckham firing back and staggering Jamie Lynn with an overhand right. Now Victoria letting the hands go and Spears rocks her with a left hook!"

Tess: "The fans are absolutely loving this! On their feet as the two ladies trade in the middle of the ring!"

O'Dell: "Right hand, Spears and Victoria's hurt again! Jamie Lynn going all in and battering Beckham back into the ropes. Posh covering up as Spears goes body and then works her way upstairs. Beckham clinching now, trying to suppress the blonde. Spears still trying to punch free, shoves Victoria off and eats a good right hand! Jamie Lynn punishes the midsection with a left and there's the bell!"

McCarthy: "That was a heck of a round, and if you'd have told me Beckham could stand and trade clean with Spears and survive, I'd have said you were nuts! She definitely got the worst of it, though."

Tess: "Certainly did, and the score is now tied at 38 through four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Into the fifth now and Jamie Lynn stalking. Beckham on her horse, legging behind her left, flicking that thing out now, just looking to get some space."

McCarthy: "Posh thinking the same thing we are, that she was lucky to get out of that last round without a visit to The Canvasback Hotel..."

Tess: "The Canvas...what ARE you talking about?"

O'Dell: "Why do I see a t-shirt line in the future? Meanwhile, back in the ring, Spears working to cut off Posh, landing solid stuff when she does so. Beckham not allowing herself to be trapped, though. Getting back to open canvas."

McCarthy: "The Spears kid has her on the run, Jenny, and this is how I expected this thing to go."

O'Dell: "And clearly this is what Spears expected, too. She's handling this very well. Scoring when she gets opportunities. Being patient. And, as the bell sounds ending the fifth, she's earned herself a shutout round and her first lead of the fight."

Tess: "48-47 Jamie Lynn at the halfway point."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "On to the sixth, now, and Beckham again on her horse. Legging away from Jamie Lynn behind her left jab. Spears looking to close, clearly the aggressor, banging body when she gets in range, doing a good job with her footwork."

McCarthy: "Beckham slick in there, though. Just won't get trapped. Always moving, making Jamie Lynn chase. This is a strategy a lot of girls use against Britney."

Tess: "Because there aren't many bantams that are going to last standing in front of Britney."

McCarthy: "Just when I think you're hopeless, Walmart, you show me that you ARE learning from J-Mac..."

O'Dell: "Meanwhile, back in the ring..."

Tess: "Speaking of t-shirt lines, Jenny, I've SEEN that one. It has a picture of you with a headset on and it says, 'Meanwhile, back in the ring.' underneath..."

O'Dell: "I'll have to check with my agent and make sure I'm getting royalties from that. Spears continuing to pressure. Beckham fighting back in spots now, not getting completely routed, but there's no question who's controlling things."

McCarthy: "Spears nice and patient, too. Getting off when she can. Scoring plenty to win the round."

O'Dell: "And, at that's what she's just done. There's the bell, and Jamie Lynn's easily won her third straight."

Tess: "58-56 Spears now with four rounds to go."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh round underway and Spears again stalking the older woman. Looking to land some power, but being content with taking what Beckham will give her. Victoria using those legs, which have held up very well tonight. Working the left hand...AND BECKHAM DROPS A NASTY RIGHT HAND THAT STAGGERS SPEARS!"

McCarthy: "A BEAUTIFUL right hand, right on the button!"

O'Dell: "Beckham now going to work. Spears covering up as Victoria lets the hands go! Beckham taking full advantage here, backing Spears into the ropes and banging away with both hands!"

McCarthy: "Jamie Lynn regrouping nicely, though. Not going to allow a full-on clean up. Fighting back counter from the ropes."

O'Dell: "Beckham savvy, careful. Scoring her points now, but not going all in. Not going to take any chances now that Jamie Lynn's stabilizing. Spears content to stay on the ropes and fight counter, Posh perfectly happy to fight lead and pot-shot. And so it goes, right to the bell. Spears shakes it off, but not before Beckham wins the round."

McCarthy: "HUGE round for Posh. Lose that and you're down three with three to go, but the win puts her right back in it."

Tess: "67-66. Still anyone's fight."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth round underway now and we've established the pattern. Beckham using the legs, using the quick hands, showing excellent defensive ability. Spears pursuing. Working to cut off the ring and close, banging body at times, other times working upstairs. Taking the points when she can get them."

McCarthy: "Give credit to Jamie Lynn here. It's easy, especially for a younger fighter, to get frustrated by what Posh is doing and get sloppy, but she's not doing it. Spears sticking with the plan and making it work."

O'Dell: "And it IS working here in the eighth. Spears getting much more done than Posh. Beckham content to use the legs and the jab, fight in spots, then move on."

McCarthy: "And Spears will take it. She's not forcing anything looking for a big punch. Beckham would love to bait her into something, but Jamie Lynn isn't biting."

O'Dell: "Doesn't have to. She's got the lead, and she's about to extend it as the final seconds tick away. Spears buries one more hook to the body and there's the bell. And Jamie Lynn Spears has now won four of the last five rounds."

Tess: "Spears bouncing back to the corner. Got to be pleased with where she is now. Up 77-75 with two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Into the ninth now, and Spears looking to put this thing away. Patiently stalking Beckham, who continues to use her legs and her left jab. Spears able to cut the ring off on occasion and land a flurry. Beckham quickly out of dodge to open canvas thereafter."

McCarthy: "Spears getting a little more aggressive. Going into closeout mode now."

O'Dell: "And Beckham a hard right hand there! Walked Spears into it. Lands a good left follow up and circles away. Jamie Lynn right back after Victoria...AND BECKHAM LIGHTS HER UP AGAIN!"

McCarthy: "Spears walking into those traps now, the ones she was staying out of in the eighth. Too aggressive and Posh making her pay."

O'Dell: "Beckham with another solid flurry. Backing Spears up now. Jamie Lynn a little buzzed and she's a stationary target, a target Posh is taking plenty of shots at."

McCarthy: "Jamie Lynn shaking it off again, but the damage done in this round. Spears again starting to counter, but it's too late."

O'Dell: "There's the bell and the round to Victoria Beckham."

Tess: "That second minute really changed this fight. Jamie Lynn was cruising. If she wins the ninth, it's all over this side of a knockout, but we've now got it 86-85 with one to go."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Into the tenth and final now and Spears right after Posh."

McCarthy: "She's got to close this out, and she knows it. She's let Beckham hang around here, and now it's a close fight."

O'Dell: "Spears plowing forward, sending Victoria into retreat, getting off heavy shot, missing as much as she's hitting, but landing plenty..."

McCarthy: "SHORT HOOK, POSH!"

O'Dell: "Beckham walks Spears into another one, and Jamie Lynn's a little buzzed..."

McCarthy: "And Beckham has nothing to lose now! She's climbing on board with everything she has, letting fly and rolling Spears up!"

O'Dell: "Jamie Lynn again to the ropes and countering with some dangerous right hands, but Beckham's throwing caution to the winds here, letting both hands go and getting the better of things."

McCarthy: "Spears looking for one big shot that could end it, but she's running out of time."

O'Dell: "And there's the bell! And Beckham has rallied back to tie this thing, ladies!"

Tess: "How big does that seventh look now?"

O'Dell: "We'll await the decision, of course, but I strongly suspect we've got a 95-95 draw and the ladies will be asked about overtime."

Tess: "Ok, now I actually DO have sources at Front Street, and I've been told by The Grand Wizard himself that, as the hosts at Asylum, Front Street will ALWAYS accept overtime and leave the choice up to its guests."

O'Dell: "And, you can see the graphic that shows there has NEVER been a draw at Asylum. Every fight tied after 10 to this point has gone to OT."

McCarthy: "You're going to see that streak broken, I'm betting, because Beckham has zero reason to accept OT. A draw is a victory for her."

O'Dell: "Decision is announced and, as we expected, it's a draw. Referee gets the thumbs up from Front Street's corner and will now approach Posh...WHO SAYS 'LET'S GO!' And so we shall. It's overtime at The Asylum!"

ROUND ELEVEN:

Tess: "Mac, explain the OT rules for the folks at home who might not understand..."

McCarthy: "It's simple. The first woman to score two CONSECUTIVE points wins. Meaning if you win two straight rounds, you win, and if you get a 10-8 round, via knockdown or not, you also win. You don't have to win BY two. You just have to score two in a row."

O'Dell: "And at the bell you've got a determined blonde looking to do just that. Spears closing on Beckham and going to work."

McCarthy: "Gotta think extra rounds will be an advantage for the much younger Jamie Lynn. How much can Victoria have left in those legs?"

O'Dell: "She's got enough to keep moving and showing excellent defensive ability. Spears still pressuring, though, getting off more. Landing more. And what she's landing is harder, cleaner stuff."

Tess: "Look at the expression on Jamie Lynn's face. All determination now. Knows it didn't have to get to this point and that she's got to find a way to close this out."

O'Dell: "And that's exactly what she's doing. Good, solid pressure by the blonde. Again taking what she's being given, working upstairs then down. Has Beckham backing up and fighting off her back foot."

McCarthy: "If the kid had done this the last two rounds of regulation, she'd be in the showers now."

O'Dell: "As it is, she showers Beckham with one last flurry at the bell. Judges will show us the scores, but it's pretty clear..."

Tess: "The cards are raised and it's 10-9 for Jamie Lynn. If she can win round 12, she'll pull out the victory."

ROUND TWELVE:

O'Dell: "Another opportunity for Spears to close this out, and she's after Beckham immediately. Victoria still, amazingly, has some legs, moving, reversing, jabbing, keeping Jamie Lynn at bay..."

McCarthy: "You've got to give Posh credit. She's in awesome shape. No way would I have figured she'd still be able to stick and move twelve rounds in."

O'Dell: "Spears working forward, closing, trying to finish here..."

McCarthy: "AND THERE'S THE SHORT HOOK!"

O'Dell: "Spears walks into the trap again! Beckham's got her buzzed with that hook and now Posh going all in for a knockdown that would win this thing!"

McCarthy: "Spears again covering up, being forced backward, clinching now for the first time, trying to weather the storm here."

O'Dell: "Posh landing good, clean stuff, but Spears, as we've seen previously, is hard to put down. She's again able to stabilize and begin to counter. Beckham now back to the legs, knows she's got the edge in the round and she's going to make Jamie Lynn chase. Spears not showing a lot of vigor in the attempt. Going through the motions, it appears as Victoria dances her way to a win in the twelfth.!"

McCarthy: "How many chances has this kid had to close now? And she can't do it."

Tess: "Waiting for the card, but, again, it's clear what's happened. And, there they are. 10-9 Beckham and we go to round thirteen!"

ROUND THIRTEEN:

O'Dell: "We're into the thirteenth now, and Beckham ready to dance this night away. Posh on her toes here in the thirteenth, sticking and moving. Spears looking to close, but half-heartedly..."

McCarthy: "Kid is completely discouraged. Had this thing won about five times and couldn't finish. And now she's just standing there getting popped by jabs looking for a miracle punch."

O'Dell: "But Victoria's going to make sure that doesn't happen. She's giving ground, circling and reversing, scoring with the left hand, not bothering to hang around to put punches together. All single shot stuff, but it's enough. Spears doing almost nothing. Just plodding forward, stalking, not getting off..."

McCarthy: "This is unreal, what we're seeing here. This kid HAS the talent. She beat girls like Song and Lowndes and Spearritt. And take nothing away from Beckham, who came in here in great shape and ready to fight, but there's no excuse for a performance like this..."

Tess: "Haters already getting their tweet on, Mac, and they're enjoying themselves as you might expect. Body's not even cold, but they're planning a burial..."

O'Delll: "While Victoria Beckham is planning a party. Posh legging out the waning seconds of the thirteenth round. Spears dejectedly stalking her, knowing what's about to happen...and there's the bell and Posh not waiting for the scores. Jumping up and down in the center of the ring..."

McCarthy: "Watch it, Posh. This is Philly. Weirdo may even now be bribing these judges..."

O'Dell: "Spears across the ring, touches gloves with Posh..."

Tess: "Give her credit for good sportsmanship. Clearly upset and disappointed, but still gives props to Victoria..."

O'Dell: "Cards raised indicating 10-9 Beckham in the thirteenth meaning your winner by UD13 IS Victoria Beckham!"

McCarthy: "Spears immediately out of the ring and trudging back to the locker room. Get a good look at her, fans. You may be seeing her for the last time..."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore..."

Tess: "I've got our winner, the lovely Victoria Beckham, and, I'm sure you've had better nights, but this has GOT to be one of the best you've ever had in a boxing ring..."

Victoria(smiling): "I can't think of a better one, no. No one gave me a shot coming in, but I knew I could get this done. I knew she had some tendancies I could take advantage of, especially getting overly aggressive at times, and I figured if I could get a few rounds early and stick around, I could pull it out in the end."

Tess: "Ever consider taking the draw?"

Victoria(grinning): "Not for a second! I'm a bit of a gambler. And the gamble paid off tonight!
