BEFORE:

"I can FIGHT, you know," says Kate with a shake of her head. "I BEAT Carmella DeCesare! I took Munn and Cuthbert the distance. I'm no pushover. And tonight, I'm going to prove it by knocking off a top ten bantamweight."

"Kate CAN fight," says a serious Allison. "She's not a girl you should take lightly. Which is why I haven't done that. But, there ARE reasons I'm a top ten bantamweight, and I'm about to demonstrate a few to Ms. Hudson."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Getting ready for bout number six and that's 'Dance Again' you hear, and here comes the lady who sang this version and showed off her moves on 'Glee', the gorgeous Kate Hudson!"

McCarthy: "Hudson is very athletic. Makes you wonder what she could have become if she'd have gotten a push from management at some point."

O'Dell: "Kate into the ring and helped off with the robe by the Empire corner people to reveal a gold bikini that gets an appreciative cheer from the crowd..."

Oh, the shark, babe
Has such teeth, dear...

McCarthy: "UN. REAL!"

Tess: "For any fans who are joining us tonight for the first time, Mac remains unable to come to terms with the fact that Wiz bought the FCBA rights to the Bobby Darin version of this song and has been using it for Allison Mack's intro ever since..."

McCarthy: "It's MY song! AND WHY HAVEN'T WE BOUGHT THE RIGHTS BACK?"

Tess: "For the fans at home, Jenny is now screaming into her cell phone to text her agent. She has not gone around the bend. She has a voice activated texting app..."

McCarthy: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE WON'T SELL???"

O'Dell(sighing): "Allison Mack on her way to the ring, wearing the black robe with the gleaming silver knife on the back, deep red blood dripping from it's blade..."

McCarthy: "I HAVE A NEW TV SHOW COMING OUT! WE HAVE THE MONEY!"

O'Dell(sighing more deeply): "Mack into the ring, helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal the familiar blood red bikini..."

McCarthy: "I KNOW HE HAS HIS OWN NETWORK...I'LL SUE!!! WHY HAVEN'T WE SUED???"

Tess: "Jenny now apparently being reminded of the existence of Front Street TV and the hit show 'Are You Smarter Than Jenny McCarthy'..."

O'Dell(megasighing): "The ladies are about ready for round one, so, if we could stop with the theater of the absurd long enough to get a pick, Mac?"

McCarthy: "FINE, I'LL HANDLE THIS MYSELF! YOU ARE USELESS! USELESS!"

Tess: "Mac?"

McCarthy: "WHAT????"

O'Dell: "We're trying to get a pick, Mac. Tess has already picked Allison..."

McCarthy: "Mack is an overrated wannabe! Hudson will knock her overrated butt OUT!"

O'Dell: "There's the bell and Kate immediately using those dancing legs the world saw on 'Glee', bouncing around the ring, snapping out jabs, making Allison seek. Hudson stopping, popping, then legging away before Mack can get off."

McCarthy: "Excellent strategy by Kate. Keeping Mac on the defensive. She's getting her stuff in, then getting away."

Tess: "You should have tried that against Allison in 'The Gauntlet'. Might have lasted more than 30 seconds..."

McCarthy: "I'd been fighting all night against an ALL-STAR TEAM..."

O'Dell: "Calm down, Mac. Hudson all leggy and quick now. Mack taking stock. Doing recon as Tess pointed out earlier she likes to do. Kate not doing any damage with the quick hands, but she's piling up points."

McCarthy: "Hudson really looks good out there. And not just in that bikini."

O'Dell: "Kate circling, popping, circling again. Allison seeking, not finding. There's the bell ending the first and Hudson draws first blood."

Tess: "Kate has to feel good about that round. Always nice for the underdog to get off to the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round now underway and Kate back on her toes. Hudson bouncin' and misbehavin'..."

Tess: "You know, Jenny, you aren't just the straight man around here. Did you just paraphrase an old shampoo commercial?"

O'Dell: "Oh, I have lines of my own, Tess. Just try getting them IN around you two. And speaking of not getting anything in, Allison Mack again being forced to the defensive by Hudson. Kate using those hit and run tactics. Working those athletic legs, circling, moving, forcing Allison to chase. Mack continues to do that. Looking to get off but not having much success."

McCarthy: "Right now, Kate having things all her own way. Not letting Allison get inside and work, which is what Mack likes to do."

O'Dell: "And Kate now legging out the final seconds of the round. There's the bell and Kate Hudson has built a modest lead through two."

Tess: "20-18 now. Kate off to a fast start."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Into the third now, and it's still Kate Hudson on her toes, dancing, circling. Mack tracking, working inside her jab, banging body."

McCarthy: "Now, that's what Kate doesn't want to let Allison make a living at. Mack would love to get into her legs with body work."

O'Dell: "And that's precisely what Allison's thinking. Hudson, however, is banging right back when Mack's able to engage, concentrating upstairs instead of down."

Tess: "Kate doing more trading this round. Not too much, I don't think, but more than she has."

O'Dell: "Allison resolute, working to cut down the ring, then thumping that athletic body of Hudson's. Kate giving as good as she gets, then slipping away. Good competitive round coming to an end now. What say you, ladies?"

Tess: "Kate close."

McCarthy: "Agreed, although I wouldn't count on it if I were Hudson. 30-27 Kate through three. On our cards at least."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Into the fourth now and the pattern established. Kate moving, Allison tracking. And when Mack is able to close, she goes body. And Kate doesn't back down an inch, giving as good as she gets."

McCarthy: "Hudson not afraid to trade. Doesn't want to do it for three straight minutes, but in spots she's OK with it."

O'Dell: "This is a far different Kate than we saw against Nicole Scherzinger, ladies..."

Tess: "Absolutely, and the reason is that Kate wasn't going to out dance and out quick Nicole and she knew that. Tonight, she wants to put that athleticism to good use."

O'Dell: "Mack dogged. Determined. Relentless. Tracking Kate down and hammering leather into that supple body. Hudson making her pay in every exchange, then slipping away to make Allison stalk again."

McCarthy: "This has been another nasty two-way round. Neither blonde willing to give ground."

O'Dell: "And there's the bell, and Mack's on the board ladies."

Tess: "Definitely Allison's round. 39-37 now for Hudson."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Round number five begins the way the fourth ended with a BLISTERING exchange! Toe to toe, Kate and Allison trading shots!"

McCarthy: "Fans are loving this, Jenny, and so are the two corners! Both encouraging their respective girls!"

O'Dell: "Mack still working mainly downstairs, though she is coming up a bit more often. Kate mainly head hunting. Finding the range regularly, as is Allison."

Tess: "And neither woman can back the other up! Neither can throw the other over to defense! It's just exchange after exchange!"

O'Dell: "Fans on their feet as the ladies turn up the volume even more! Mack with a nasty left hook to the head, Kate a vicious straight right! Allison hooks the ribs with both hands, Kate a left hook, Allison a right uppercut...BELL! WHAT A ROUND!"

McCarthy: "Quick staredown before they go back to their corners, as if to say, I'll be here all night!"

Tess: "Mack's round, I think."

McCarthy: "Agreed, Walmart, but, again, I wouldn't count on it."

Tess: "48-47 Kate on our cards."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Ready for the sixth and here comes Allison again! Mack closing on Hudson and here we go! Kate firing right back, no retreating or dancing now. Mack going body, trying to wear the older blonde out. Kate banging home clean stuff upstairs trying to take Allison out of here."

McCarthy: "Hudson holding canvas right now, Jenny, and that's important. She's not letting Mack back her up."

Tess: "Wonder how much of her reserves she's having to throw in to stop her, though."

O'Dell: "That might be a key question, Tess. Is Kate playing into Mack's hands here, or is she benefitting by fighting her to a standstill, which is what Hudson is doing. Mack refusing to give ground, standing right in front of Kate and going mostly body. Hudson ripping right back to the head. Vicious, two-way stuff that has the crowd buzzing again!"

McCarthy: "Hudson with a wicked right hand!"

O'Dell: "And Mack takes it and hammers a right hook to the midsection in response at the bell! Another close one!"

McCarthy: "I think it's Kate's, which would make it 58-56 Hudson, but three of these rounds are so close that either girl could be ahead through six."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Into the seventh now and we've heard this song before. Allison right after Kate and Hudson refusing to give ground. Mack a scintillating combination right there! Backed Kate up for the first time!"

McCarthy: "First time either girl has taken a backward step tonight."

O'Dell: "And Allison ANOTHER nice flurry! Backs Hudson up again! Mack starting to get the better of the exchanges for the first time in the fight. Allison forcing Kate out of her positions, winning exchanges. Hudson in retreat."

Tess: "How much did that sixth round cost Kate? Maybe more than she realized at the time."

O'Dell: "Hudson backed into the ropes now and Mack getting off heavy shot. Allison working body, then going upstairs as the guard comes down. Kate against the ropes covering up and clinching..."

McCarthy: "She needs to get out of there. Not sure if she has legs left, but, if so, she needs to use them."

O'Dell: "Right now she's being smothered by Mack's attack. Allison imposing will, battering Kate. Hudson trying to counter, but unable to do so effectively. Mack a straight left that snaps Kate's head back, then a right hook to the body at the bell! Best round of the night for Allison Mack!"

Tess: "And our cards now say 67-66 Kate. It's a close one."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Eighth round begins with Allison Mack on a seek and destroy mission. Allison right after Kate, thumping away to the body...AND HUDSON A GOOD RIGHT HAND ROCKED MACK!"

McCarthy: "Beautiful counter by Kate!"

O'Dell: "And Hudson now looking for the finisher. Mack covering up as Kate goes to work. Hudson backing Mack up, banging away with both hands."

McCarthy: "Kate showing discipline here. Scoring with her left hand, then dropping the right. Not forcing anything. Consolidating the momentum change. Piling up points. Taking what Mack gives her while looking for the big punch."

O'Dell: "Allison getting her legs back now and countering well. Hudson flicking that jab, showing movement again. She's got this round in the bag and she knows it. Mack still on the defensive, Kate fighting lead as the bell sounds ending round eight!"

McCarthy: "Huge round for Hudson. Huge. If our cards are right, she's now up 77-75 with two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth round now underway and Hudson using that jab again, looking to stick and move. Mack cutting the ring off, closing, going body again. Hudson clinching. Mack shoves her off...AND SENDS HER TO THE MAT WITH A SHORT RIGHT HOOK!"

Tess: "NASTY!"

O'Dell: "Mack to a neutral corner. Referee's count at four. Five. Six. Kate to all fours. Seven. Eight. Hudson to her feet. Referee gives her the mandatory. Going to let this continue. And here comes Allison! Mack right back to the body, thumping away, driving Kate backward with a nice flurry to the head. Hudson covering up. Forced back to the ropes. Mack SNAPS her head back with a left...AND BLASTS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Kate staggering along the ropes. Mack ANOTHER big left hook. Hudson in deep trouble. Mack buries a left to the body, splits Kate's gloves with a right hand...AND IT'S OVER! IT'S OVER! Referee leaps between the fighters and bundles Hudson to safety! Your winner by TKO9 is Allison 'Mack The Knife' Mack!"

Tess: "Check out the right hook that was the beginning of the end for Kate on the replay. Here's Kate clinching. Now, watch Allison shove her off and, as Kate goes backward, she tries to get her hands up from the clinch, but she's not quick enough. Allison's right glove goes over Kate's rising left and BAM! Down goes Hudson. Nasty!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore..."

Tess: "I've got our winner, Allison Mack. Allison, surprised by the kind of fight Kate gave you?"

Allison: "Like I said pre-fight, she can fight. I knew she could move and I expected her to do a lot of dancing early, but I knew I could get into her legs with body work. She was game and tough, but once I started to close with her it was just a matter of time."

Tess: "What's next for you?"

Allison(smiling): "I don't worry about that stuff anymore. I let the boss handle it. Unless your buddy down there wants to come out of retirement. In which case, I'll see if I can't lobby Wiz to sign the fight."
