"The New Years Eve Body Paint Fight Night"

Before: A contest between generations, Cat the bigger, stronger, more experienced fighter, but facing an opponent 14 years younger than herself. She won her best of seven a year before Bridget began her career.

Bridget confident in prefight: “Everybody knows that welter’s a two fighter division, which is great of you’re one of the two. While I wait for Milena to get tired of the belts, I’m going to do what I can to pull the rest of the division out of the background. Maybe if I can draw enough eyes, people will start paying attention to the Welter division again.”

Cat : “This is a new experience for me, and that all by itself is enough to get the juices flowing. I feel ten years younger, and I don’t think we have to speculate on what I would have done to this girl a back in 2002!”

Cat opting to recreate her iconic silver bikini from the motorcycle photo shoot, hair back in a ponytail. Bridget on the other hand, in the most intricate costume to date has opted to recreate the Mord Sith outfit she wore in several episodes of “Legend of the Seeker.” Intricate red leather façade leading to boots, hair in a long, tight braid down her back, black gloves.

R1: Cat comes out gambling, sees if she can get Bridget off guard. Right hand smashes off Regan’s face, her own jab waving off in the nether regions as she doubles over, she's hurt. Follow up right from Bell, a sweeping hook, Bridget's head swivels. Yet another right has her stumbling back to the ropes. Cat right in their with her, gets her left shoulder grinding into Regan’s breasts as she buries another right into the gut. Bell steps back and LETS BRIDGET FALL TO HER KNEES! Crowd silent as it looks like two blowouts in a row BUT REGAN BEATS THE COUNT! Bridget makes it up, gets her guard set just in time to meet a Cat Bell that’s looking to close things out. Regan keeps her feet through a maelstrom of hard-hitting hooks crashing into her guard, ribs and paunch as Bell’s all-in. Just staying up for the two minutes left in the round a it of an accomplishment as Cat Bell posts a rip-roarin’ 10-8

R2: Bridget rights the ship, comes out ready for a brawl this time. Fighters bumping guards early, whacking away brawny single shots in neat, thumping turns. Both women clouted about the shoulders & head, slashing at ribcages, cuffing paunches. Girls reaching in under each other's arms, pulling down defences, looking for hitting room, throwing shoulders when a punch can't get off. All even for two minutes of moist, sweaty work, then Bridget jerks a short left uppercut neat to Cat’s chin. Bell gets tagged, tottering back on her heels, then SITTING DOWN STUNNED! Cat achy to her feet, round ends before either fighter can reestablish, Bridget getting the knockdown back as this thing stays crazy.

R3: Bridget Regan begins the reduction of Cat Bell. Heavy thumping blows systematically breaking down the veteran as both fighters settle in for the long haul. Cat not fully recovered from the early wildness, pulling out every veteran trick she can think of. Trapping the arm, hold & hit, anything she can think of to break up that rhythm. For all that, Bridget always comes back to that inexorable pounding pace, coming on like she has all the time in the world.

R4: Bridget driving hard right hands over Cat's pawing jab, following up clubbing hooks to head. Bell battered out of her stance, slugged onto her heels early. Regan all hunched-shoulders, gloves at her chest as she marches on Cat, dipping into slugging haymakers and advancing as Bell gives ground. Cat rocked at various points as rowdy fists bounce off her head & shoulders. Bell is able to pick her spots, hit back just enough to avoid the shutout as Regan goes totally over to offense in no-nonsense fashion,

R5: A hurting Cat engages at midring, jabbing with Bridget at range. Bell leading with the jab to Regan's stupendous rack with heavy left hands. Bridget looking to hook wide, half-step back moves Cat out of range. Regan hops forward, looking to close, where Bell’s able to stick her with the straight right counter. Bridget competitive throughout, slugging home with vigor as she takes the first and last minutes, but Cat’s rolling with them, while catching Regan flat-footed to land the bigger shots.

R6: Bridget forward off the jab, PLOWING right to breadbasket/short hook across tits. Cat backing up, frowning then gets TAGGED by an overhand right that SETS HER ON HER BUTT! Bell up quickly, forced back to ropes by a storming Regan. Bridget sensing victory, tries to stack Cat up on the ropes. Bell plays it savvy, pushes off the ropes before Regan gets set, wraps Bridget up and uses her momentum to swing her way on top. Cat not trying to hold her there, just keeping things moving, not letting Regan plant herself for a fight ending slugging session, rolling them along the ropes as Bell plays for time to the bell.

R7: Point-fighting from Cat here, not putting her weight into shots, but touching Bridget, outmaneuvering her, tying her up repeatedly to keep initiative. Nobody does punch-and-clutch better than Bell, and she’s able to force things into a series of forehead-to-forehead pushing contests. No real damage as Cat is able to quash Bridget’s offense for a badly needed respite.

R8: Frustration evident on Bridget’s face as Cat touches her up with the jab, then clinches expertly. Some holding-and-hitting on the inside, but no real damage either way as Bell slow-dances Regan for ref’s breaks for the second straight round. Bits of silver starting to show up on Bridget’s “leather” as paint jobs begin to show wear and tear in this extended close contact fight.

R9: Bridget able to jab her way into Cat’s head on approach, forcing her back in earmuff stance. Regan steps into a right hook to paunch, chugging the left into the jugs as Bell’s defenses crumble. As the first minute closes, she lands a right uppercut/left hook combination THAT SENDS CAT SPRAWLING TO HER SIDE! Bell’s only rolled onto her knees by the time the ref hits 10. KO9 Bridget Regan

After: “It’s always great to see a girl go down,” Bridget gushes afterwards. “Especially when she has as many tricks to tie you up as she does. Stopping her is such a rush! They’ve said you can’t rule the welter division until you’ve stopped Cat Bell, and now I see what they’re talking about!”
