"The New Year;s Eve Body Paint Fight Night"

Miley’s not really interested in talking about her opponent, she keeps turning the answers back towards one of the fighters she was traded for. “Lookout traded two fighters for me, and now all we hear about is Nina, Nina, Nina! They’re coddling her and making a huge noise about it at the same time!” Second chance to see her and Dobrev side-by-side this month, they both beat opponents from their former stables at the Ryder Cup bouts earlier in December. Cyrus has been just as active in Europe as she has in the States, getting into feuds with stablemate Michelle Keegan and one of her replacements at Lookout!, Brenda Song.

Shay losing her first bout with the newly formed Pretty Little Punchers stable, but also receiving a ringing endorsement of her potential from the current bantamweight champ, Eliza Dushku, who also happens to have held that title more times than anybody else. “It doesn’t take a genius to realize that Miley’s managed to beat up a smaller girl twice, and spent the rest of the year being treated to a guided tour of some of the best arena lights in the world. At least when I knock her out, she’ll get to look at the stars!”

Miley “wearing” a strapless red tank with red bands around the biceps, black panties and stockings, her distinctive green gloves, blonde hair cropped close to the skull. Shay appearing in a black strapless one-piece, tightly hugging her curves, but the highlight is the iridescent sapphire “necklace” spreading out over her cleavage. Black hair loose, cascading down her back, shoulders and across her rack, black gloves.

R1: Fighters wary, content to feel each other out. Miley not letting pressure get to her, being patient rather than trying to duplicate Dobrev’s earlier blowout. Early pace almost leisurely, both girls punching at targets of opportunity, but not mixing things up. Cyrus sticks to the perimeter, Shay content to rotate in the center as she cedes the opening round.

R2: More of the same, Miley circling, taking potshots for points. Both fighters unhurt after 2, but Cyrus firmly in control as everything’s coming up Miley.

R3: Shay adjusts like a good little disciple of DanI Fishel. Good initial rush gets her on top of Miley. Now she unpacks those clubbing hooks and vicious uppercuts that gave bantam champ Eliza Dushku so much trouble late in their title fight. Cyrus no Sheriff, after a minute and half of this she’s beaten to her knees! She makes it shaky to her feet, collides with the Mitchell Express coming out of the neutral corner. Blown back into the ropes, she finds herself hanging on desperately as Shay puts the finishing touches on a heavy-handed shutout.

R4: Cyrus comes inside, punching for respect. Flat-footed, toe-to-toe slugging, Miley’s got the faster hands, rocking the bigger girl back on her heels. Curvy legs holding Shay up, sponging and hitting back, keeps the pressure up on Cyrus’s ribs. Miley pushing Shay back under rapid-fire hup-hup, but runs out of gas in the final minute. Now Mitchell lets her hands go, taking it to Cyrus with both barrels as Miley’s defenses crumble. Mitchell lands a clubbing hook upside the head, AND CYRUS IS ON HER BACK! Bell sounds before Shay can get to a neutral corner. Miley keeps things 10-9 in a bit of the reversal of the norm.

R5: Miley’s had enough of trading, gets on her bicycle. Stiffarm jab lashing out, keeping Shay out at arm’s length. Smart circling and pivoting, poking for points, as Cyrus outclasses Mitchell for the shutout.

R6: Miley comes out looking to box again, gets TAGGED with an uppercut as Shay shows the scooting footwork one expects of a Foxfire puncher. Cyrus staggering backwards under constant assault, bounces off the ropes, tries to clinch, but gets shoved back into them as Mitchell piles in on top of her. Miley just sponging, three punch bursts climbing her torso to finish by snapping her head back as she leans into the ropes. AND THE REF’S SEEN ENOUGH! TKO6 Shay Mitchell as she nets the first win for Pretty Little Punchers!

After: Three other PLP girls and DanI Fishel storm the ring, embracing a sweat-slicked Shay without a thought for the designer cocktail dresses they’re wearing. They say the first win is the hardest, and these girls aren’t in any position to argue with it. Plenty of eyebrows raised as Shay’s fists break through the first barrier. They may not be a force to be reckoned with yet, but the Pretty Little Punchers aren’t a joke anymore, either
