BEFORE: "I don't hate Theron the way some of the girls do," Moon admits in prefight, "but this is a huge opportunity for me, so I'm plenty motivated. Theron's hurt - make no mistake. Nadia Bjorlin rocked that woman's world and there's no way she's all the way back from such a crushing knockout. That puts me in a terrific position to pile on, so that's my approach: full throttle; take the fight to Theron and shatter what's left of her morale. We're on the verge of breaking Charlize...I'm thrilled that the opportunity to do so is in my gloves. I won't let it slip by!"

Theron with her game-face on early...not as chatty with reporters and fans as she had been: she's a Goddess on a mission. "One lucky shot from Nadia Bjorlin does not define me," Charlize shrugs at podium, "it defines her. I know these girls think they have momentum now: I have to take that away from them. They hurt me last time; I have to hurt them. Moon has to suffer for Nadia's cheap success. The Crusade against me needs to suffer a shattering blow - a defeat so concussive that it puts all those girls on their heels. They're coming at me with their ears pinned back and guns blazing: I want them tentative and reluctant, and so Moon must become the awful example."

During R1: Charlize hands up/palms out, spitting jabs while shifting clockwise...blonde girl initiates turning battle midring. Moon: bobbing; right arm crossed over left at chest - that right hand occasionally coming up to her left temple as she tries to crowd-close. CT in wide stance, e-z steppin' around her girl - most of her poke dies on Moon's guard, but enough's getting through to establish range. Bloodgood mounting rushes, driving CT before her: Theron retreating in good order, swatting left hooks across Moon's front; walking her onto the crisp right uppercut, then clinching as blonde backs into ropes for breaks. Ref issuing, pushing bodies apart...Theron loping immediately to fresh canvas, restarting the whole pattern. Second minute all Moon-pressure, but no punches; Theron slashing and hacking away off her right (back) foot, then tying up smart. Final minute - CT dosing jabs to get Moon into tight, crouching earmuff...blonde steps in close, pops hips-right and SINKS a gorgeous left hook in DEEP behind Moon's right elbow. Bloodgood gasping/wincing, unable to answer back...she's baby-stepping forward in earmuff as CT goes to work. Theron steps in, dips her left shoulder below Moon's guard, bumping Bloodgood up and back a step: Theron pivoting to her right off the bump, steps in to lash a vicious buggy-whip right wide behind Moon's left elbow; kisses Moon a scraping little left uppercut off the guard, then BURIES that left hook in behind Moon's right elbow! Moon sobbing into her palms, cringing forward: sumptuous body punching from rangy blonde woman has brunette in bad way. CT: ripping right uppercut to guard; left shoulder dip-down, edging in under Moon's guard to bump her off-course; cutey-pie pivot counterclockwise; WICKED left hook slammed in behind Moon's right elbow as CT pops hips-right, bends her knees and gets her back into the shot; left hand push on Moon's right shoulder to stabilize; vicious buggywhip right to left flank as CT bends in torso-left. Bell: Moon hobbled, trembling, blinking back tears; Theron scowling, colour-high...she just put a consummate bull-whipping on one of the sturdiest fighters in the competition.

R2: CT striding to midring, jotting jab to pate: Moon affects high crossed-arm - back of right hand at left cheek; left tucked up into right elbow. CT in wide stance, semi-extended left poking, exploring Moon's bobbing defences. Bloodgood inching forward, inching forward...Theron bends in with hateful buggywhip right, lashing Moon atop left hip, then legging away all limber to the left, forcing Moon to rejig her pursuit. Same again: cautious, methodical, crossed-arm approach up the middle for Moon; CT sliding back in her stance, measuring with the jab, then buggywhipping the hell out of Moon's left flank. Bloodgood grimacing, but trudging on...Moon cringing from the wallops, but refusing to back off. Theron all legs - loping to freedom, circling back into position, luring Moon forward...blonde girl picking her foe apart, but not taking any risks to collect her touches. Down the stretch, Moon inching her way in again...CT starts the buggywhip right to body, getting Moon's elbows to cringe down...CT steps up onto her left leg and brings the left hook instead, keeping the elbow in tight, delivering the shortest, sweetest chop of her career in behind Moon's right ear. BLOODGOOD GOES DOWN! Moon sputtering forward as Charlize pivots-left around the Bloodgood left flank...Moon pitching onto her left side, rolling onto her back...Theron thrusts arms in the air and shouts "SWEET SPOT!" on the strut to neutral corner. Poor Moon! Bloodgood, trying to roll over her right hip, but right arm gives way, pitching her onto her right side with arm trapped behind her. IT'S OVER! Moon flopping helpless about, trying to fight off the Sugar Ray Robinson hook...KO2 in devastating fashion, Charlize Theron.

After: Theron coming up with a crucial answer-KO to halt Crusade momentum...not only does she shatter one of the best chins in the tournament, but she's fresh as daisies with the early night. "I could fight another one of them right now!" CT beams in postfight. "I wanted to send a statement, and I have. Now they know I'm capable of not just out-classing them, but utterly destroying them in the ring as well. I've put the fear back in their hearts, and I'll build on that fear. More importantly, I feel great! The one thing we were worried about was the attrition of the early rounds...we wanted short fights, we wanted my legs fresh for their closers and we're totally getting that. Their aces are going to have to fight an undiminished Charlize Theron in all her glory. I can guarantee you none of them are happy about that!"
