BEFORE: Phoebe Tonkin, at age 23, is a rising star in both boxing and Hollywood circles. Phoebe received rave reviews for her acting on the CW's “Secret Circle” and can currently be seen on their hit television show, “The Vampire Diaries.” Phoebe Tonkin has also held the BBU Lightweight title, and while she has lost that since, she still retains her supreme confidence in her own abilities. Phoebe is excited about the possibility of taking down Yvonne in their contest and Yvonne recognizes the threat posed by a confident young lightweight star. This match had been scheduled earlier, but a “scheduling conflict” prevented it from occurring. However, the only conflict today will be on the beach.

With Phoebe joining the Vampire Diaries in the current season, Nina Dobrev comes over to support her fellow stable member and observe their newest cast member.

The fight takes place on Bells Beach, a mecca for surfers here in Australia.

Phoebe is wearing a black bikini with white trim, brunette hair in a tight ponytail; Yvonne clad in a purple bikini with matching gloves, blonde hair in a fighting ponytail of her own.

R1: Phoebe doesn't have nearly as much experience as Yvonne by this stage, but she does have something Yvonne's previous two opponent's didn't have, which is the height to match. In fact, at 5'10', Phoebe is actually slightly taller than Yvonne. Phoebe uses her length to come in from the outside, just dancing with some good footwork to ping in her jabs from both sides to keep Yvonne from getting into a rhythm as she prefers. Tonkin does deliver a clipping right hook that stuns Yvonne in the middle minute, then follows up with a left hook to her ribs. Yvonne stumbling initially, but catches herself near the ropes to bring up her guard again. Phoebe hitting hard, but Yvonne popping forward with that jab as Tonkin comes forward and it's her turn to be caught off guard. Phoebe's momentum comes to a halt as Yvonne clips her with a right hook of her own, the two separating at the bell as both are shaking their heads after a surprisingly even first.

R2: Tonkin coming forward once again, displaying her speed as she moves forward with swift jabs to try to smack into Yvonne's face again. Yvonne bobbing, however, leaning back and doing her best to make sure most of them miss. A few do land, albeit not entirely cleanly, but enough to daze Yvonne with the powerful punching from Phoebe. Phoebe is aggressive against her opponent and that works in Yvonne's favor down the stretch as Yvonne sidesteps to avoid a brutal-looking punch, then manages to walk Phoebe into a hard right hook. Another quick right hook is delivered to stun Phoebe before she can get her guard back up, but Phoebe does get her guard up and keeps firing back, though not always accurately. Yvonne keeps popping out that lanky jab of hers, firing towards the face and occasionally shooting lower towards the bra-line or torso. It's a steady diet of jabs between the two of them in another close round, but Yvonne takes this one.

R3: Yvonne remains the aggressor in this round, hoping to follow up with her momentum. Yvonne comes forward, pumping that jab, the jab continuing to deliver hard blows that keep poking through Tonkin's guard. Tonkin keeps fighting from behind her mitts, managing to slam her gloves into Yvonne with a swift hook or punch to the tummy throughout the opening minute. Yvonne breathing hard from the repeated shots to the tummy and with her guard dropping for just the briefest of seconds, Tonkin catches her off guard with a clipping right uppercut that snaps her head backwards to daze her. Yvonne staggers backwards at first, then as Phoebe comes forward, Strahovski stumbles forward, wobbly-butt, to clinch. Yvonne manages to hold onto the clinch for a moment, but then some repeated shots to the ribs forces the two to separate. As the two are being pulled apart, Yvonne does send out a left hook that snaps Tonkin's head to the side. Tonkin is wobbly-butt this time as the two swing at each other in another even round at the bell, but advantage Tonkin after that hard right uppercut that really dazed Yvonne.

R4: It's a spirited showing now from Tonkin as she gets the opportunity to be the aggressor, jabbing at Yvonne's guard. Tonkin throwing a high-volume of punches but Yvonne mainly staying out of harm's way, just bobbing and displaying good, leggy footwork. Tonkin keeps pushing through, continuing to pound her own rangy jabs, punching in behind Yvonne's elbow and hitting at her ribs. Yvonne wincing, but not backing down from the assault. Yvonne forced to be mainly defensive, however, not throwing a lot of punches, but when she does, she ensures that they are powerful and accurate. Tonkin controls the majority of the round behind the speedy jabs and hooks, but Yvonne protects herself well and is getting into a bit of a rhythm towards the end of the round with left and right hooks towards the tummy, doubling Tonkin over a bit. Another close round, but judges score it for Tonkin overall. Nina Dobrev gives Yvonne an encouraging talk in the corner and expresses her supreme confidence in Yvonne.

R5: Yvonne gets back to her jab this round, committing once again to establishing power to the body. Yvonne surges from her corner, eager to reverse the trend of the previous two rounds and to prevent Phoebe from gaining any more momentum. Yvonne just licks sharp hooks, left and right, gloves spanking off of Tonkin's torso. Tonkin doubles over, red-faced slightly, but Yvonne doesn't stop. Phoebe brings in her elbows, trying to protect her rapidly reddening ribs as Yvonne slams a hard jab to her tummy and then a left hook to her cheek. Phoebe tries to clinch, but Yvonne stops it with a straight jab to the face that sends Tonkin down to her butt. Phoebe gets up again at six, clutching her abs and shaking her head. Yvonne keeps up the attack, pushing Phoebe back up to the ropes as she whacks away at her tummy and torso. The ref pulls Yvonne off at the bell as Yvonne smiles over at Nina, letting her know that her confidence was definitely warranted. Phoebe visibly upset but still up at the end of the round. This round goes to Yvonne wide.

R6: Yvonne coming forward, keeping her gloves up to prepare for the inevitable Tonkin retaliation, but in the meantime, keeps bullying Phoebe back behind that jab that keeps slamming forward, right towards her face. Phoebe ducks underneath it, trying to pound away at Yvonne's body as Yvonne is pushed backwards. Phoebe using her taller frame to smother Yvonne against the ropes for a moment, just whacking away at Yvonne's body. Yvonne forced to cover up for a moment as she sponges up the punishment, wincing and grunting for air. Yvonne tries to push off of the ropes, but Phoebe shoulders back up against her and slams her back against the ropes for further punishment, slamming stiff punches into her ribs and even towards her chest. Yvonne gasping in frustration, but finally manages to twist Tonkin towards the ropes as she starts to catch Tonkin with hard shots to her tummy and hooks towards her face. It's a hard-hitting exchange as Tonkin is sitting in the ropes, just firing back at Yvonne as the ref separates the two of them and then the bell rings. The two of them gaze at each other, faces red and breathing hard as it's yet another close round but goes to Yvonne. Yvonne controlled the opening and closing minute, but that middle minute was all Phoebe.

R7: The two of them continue the determined and frantic pace set by previous rounds, swinging out hard against one another as they swarm across the ring toward their respective corners. Tonkin connecting first with some rangy jabs, circling around Yvonne, trying to touch her up around her head and shoulders. Yvonne focuses her efforts on punishing Phoebe's abs, occasionally throwing a hard hook towards her temple or chest. The two of them showing good footwork around the ring, circling and cutting each off whenever they try to back off after a particular hard shot, such as one Yvonne slams into Tonkin's forehead or Phoebe's whacking hook into Strahovski's tummy, catching her right at her bellybutton, which seems to be a target Tonkin loves to focus on Strahovski and Tonkin push each other back towards the ropes as Yvonne keeps ringing Tonkin up around her head and shoulders as Tonkin covers up a bit, coming forward though with some leggy jabs of her own to slam into Yvonne's chest and tummy, continuing her assault on Yvonne's breadbasket. Yvonne finds herself pushed against the ropes as Tonkin goes rack, attacking Strahovki's chest as her blonde opponent shouts in surprise. Yvonne tries to protect her chest as Tonkin's mitts hammer away at her jugs and finally makes her opponent back off with a hard right hook to her cheek. Tonkin staggers away as Yvonne starts to return the favor, smashing in a few quick jabs to Tonkin's cleavage when the bell rings and Phoebe sends out a straight shot to Yvonne's chest at the bell, drawing a squeal of outrage as the ref moves to separate the two of them, gloves firing at one another's racks with wild abandon. It takes a minute or two to restore order and send the to their respective corners, massaging their chests and glaring at one another.

R8: Both of them come out combative this round as the previous round have them both more determined than ever Phoebe is eager to surge forward and smother Yvonne up against the ropes again, then go to town on Yvonne's jugs again. Yvonne is caught slightly by surprise as Phoebe takes the initiative and bumps her shoulder against Yvonne's jugs, just knocking the air out of her slightly as she backpedals towards the ropes. Bumping backwards as Phoebe comes forward swinging, but Yvonne sidesteps as they near the ropes and slams in a hard shot right to Tonkin's tummy, drilling in her glove right at the bellybutton. Tonkin doubles over and is then picked up with a subsequent uppercut that catches her underneath the chin. Tonkin is lifted up, head snapping backwards and arms outstretched as she sprawls to her back. Phoebe struggles to rise, rolling along the sand slightly and almost makes it back up, but just can't manage to rise before ten. It's a sudden finish to an aggressive contest as Yvonne Strahovski gets the win via KO8!

AFTER: This might have just been Yvonne's toughest test yet on her Australian tour as she leans against the ropes for a moment, catching her breathe as she then turns to the crowd, waving and blowing kisses. Phoebe is sitting in the corner, clearing her head as she comes to. Phoebe knows it was a tough match and gets a lot of credit from her corner. Although clearly not pleased with the result, she does accept the offered handshake and hug from Yvonne, though whispers demands for a rematch in Yvonne's ear as they do. The two of them, in addition to Nina Dobrev, go surfing out at Bells Beach to celebrate a successful match to the adoration of a happy Australian crowd here. The crowd does note that the girls spend less time on their boards and more time getting shoved into the water, though.
