Having lost her lightweight title to one Australian – Miranda Kerr – Sayuki now gets to fight another. And Abbie’s a good fighter, even though Sayuki has beaten her once.

Here’s Abbie, the 30 year old in a scarlet bikini, and she’s joined by Sayuki in a black basque and panties set, both girls real head turners!

Round 1

The girls start quickly, exchange a couple of punches, but now it’s all Sayuki, smacking punches into Abbie’s body in a real flurry, the Australian struggling to keep the former champ off, but she’s just flaying those punches in, just like she did to Lisa Maffia on her debut last year. Abbie’s groaning a little, and she’s trying to protect her aching ribs, eats a great right hook to the head, and goes down! That was all too easy for Sayuki, but Abbie’s up at 6, ready and waiting, but the Japanese girl’s slamming more punches into her body, giving her a real good pummelling before the end of the opening round.

Round 2

Still Sayuki keeps up the pressure, thudding those hooks of hers into Abbie’s well defined body, and the blonde can’t seem to shake her off, and is clinching and holding already, defending well, but not contributing much to the action. The referee pulls the girls apart, and now Abbie’s trying to push Sayuki away, not achieving much, though, and she gets rammed in the belly, then takes hooks to the left and to the right side of her ribcage, squealing a little, grabbing and holding the Japanese girl, who still seems to be able to land short, stabbing punches to the ribs, with Abbie again offering very little in terms of aggression, seeming to be happy just to have got through that round unharmed.

Round 3

Forwards comes Sayuki again, lands a couple of good blows to Abbie’s ribs – but the blonde fights back this time! Abbie lands three quick shots to Sayuki’s face, and shocks the girl inmto backing off, then she’s after her, following her to the ropes, slamming a good punch into her mouth, then eating two, three, four of Sayuki’s accurate head punches, clinching briefly before being turned and punched hard to the belly. Abbie starts to cover up, takes a left hook to the face, then counters, rocking Sayuki with a good combination to the face, then she tucks into her body for once, and Sayuki doesn’t like it – those short uppercuts to the underside of her boobs are not pleasant, and neither is the double dose of punches to the belly she gets just on the bell to end an even round.

Round 4

Abbie’s much encouraged from her showing in the third, and she’s keeping sayuki at arms length, doing what she should have done from the start, and smacking the model’s head from side to side with well timed punches, using quick footwork to stop her from getting inside to rough up her body. Sayuki keeps her momentum going, comes forward well, but she’s getting picked off, and the Aussie’s giving her plenty of pain with some stabbing jabs now, nothing powerful, but there are plenty of them, and Sayuki’s face is beginning to look a little pink from the punishment she’s taking in this round – she’ll be the more relieved girl at the bell, that’s for sure.

Round 5

And Sayuki is beginning to slow down – she isn’t moving in on Abbie like she was, and this gives the older girl plenty of heart, and she’s taking her chances well, hitting the Japanese model with a good pair of jabs, and follows it with a superb right hook. Sayuki is hurt, and now she’s looking to clinch – but Abbie’s not letting her, pushing her back with a her left jab, and again – now she finds her face with her right, and gets her wobbling again with another of those. Sayuki’s in trouble, covering up, backed into the ropes, and in come the punches to her body again, Abbie now enjoying herself, and she switches her attack back to Sayuki’s face – a face now looking battered as she takes a pair of hooks, almost putting her down – and Sayuki’s staggering, trying to hold. Abbie steps to the side, pings Sayuki’s head back with her jab, then rips her with the right hook, and Sayuki’s down, looks shaky as she rises slowly at 8, and she’s certainly saved as the bell brings the round to a close.

Round 6

Will Abbie build on her momentum? Not straight away, as she surprisingly goes back into her defensive shell, letting a wounded and dangerous Sayuki takes the fight to her again, the model getting past her defensive gloves and thudding into her body once more. It’s as if that fifth round didn’t happen, as the model sets herself at the blonde girl, smacking punches into her midriff, and Abbie’s just taking her medicine again, conceding ground and points as she lets Sayuki back into the fight, and her ribcage is getting some real hammer now, her body really reddening, and she’s going to have some badly bruised ribs by the end of this fight, the round ending with Sayuki giving Abbie’s ample rack a little treatment too, both boobs bobbing up and down as the round ends.

Round 7

Once again, it’s all Sayuki, and now Abbie seems to be wilting as the punches land to her body, the blonde still not finding the answer, even though she seemed to have it a few minutes ago! Abbie’s just holding, clinching, trying to brawl Sayuki to the ropes, but she’s being hit almost constantly, lacking the strength now to keep the model in tight enough to prevent her getting any leverage on those body shots. Back goes Abbie towards the ropes, and Sayuki lands a good combination, left hook then right hoo, turning Abbie’s head frm side to side, then she tries the uppercut, only semi-connects, but it’s enough to make Abbie half-sit on the ropes, then straighten up to clinch, running down the clock to the bell.

Round 8

Sayuki’s absolutely rampant here! She tears out of her corner, and she’s hammering Abbie to the body, now she lands to her face, and all Abbie can do is cover up, but those punches to her belly are hurting, and taking what little strength she has left out of her, and slowly but surely those proud arms are dropping. Sayuki lands again to the ribs, then to the flank, now to the liver – Abbie’s guard is nowhere now – great left hook to the blonde’s jaw, and she’s down. Abbie got smacked really hard, and she’s on her back, may not beat the count? She does, at 8, but she has no idea where she is, and that’s it, job done!

Result: Sayuki Matsumoto stopped Abbie Cornish in round 8.

The conclusion to draw from that fight is probably that Sayuki may have lost her title, but she wants it back, and woe betide any girl who stands in her way.
