BEFORE:

"I'm not surprised by this invitation," says Victoria. "This is what large stables do. You get a win over one of their girls, and they send another after you. And another. Until they get a win. Well, Front Street will need someone better than Stewart to get a win against ME."

"This isn't about Beckham," says a hard-eyed Kristen. "And everyone knows it. It's about me proving AGAIN something that I prove every day and every fight. And everyone knows THAT, too."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and the familiar strains of 'Wannabe' are pounding through the arena, and here comes the most famous of The Spice Girls, the lovely Victoria Beckham..."

McCarthy: "The most famous Spice Girl. That's a lot like being the most famous member of The Village People..."

Tess: "Except that all the Spice Girls have done VERY well for themselves, especially Victoria..."

O'Dell: "Beckham, of course, represents Beever's Babes..."

McCarthy: "Which is one of the most underrated stables in the FCBA. They've got a ton of talent over there."

O'Dell: "Posh into the ring and helped off with the robe. Wearing a nice violet bikini that shows off her well-toned physique. And that's 'Helter Skelter' by none other than John, Paul, George, and Ringo..."

McCarthy: "Is this an alternate version? The Beatles did the original!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Someone get a message to Pointy and ask him to bring a bottle of top shelf down here. And, meanwhile, back on THIS planet, the biggest Beatles fan in the FCBA, 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart, is on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "If she's such a big fan, why isn't she using The Beatles' version of the song! It's a lot better than THIS one!"

Tess: "I keep telling you to bring a flask down here, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "Stewart into the ring. Helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that green number she likes. And, it's time for picks. Tess favors Stewart. What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "I still remember Beckham beating Spears The Younger. I wouldn't be surprised if she pulled the trick again. But, I have to favor Stewart."

O'Dell: "So, our ladies agree. Let's see if they're right...ladies quickly to the center looking to work their jabs. Kristen using her legs a bit. Showing some movement, wants to work forward behind the left, dropping in a right here and there. Posh flurries back, landing a couple of clean ones."

McCarthy: "Beckham's a serviceable boxer. She can score points, as she showed against Spears."

O'Dell: "Stewart continuing to come forward, using slide and jab steps, shoulder and head movement, landing some good right hands. Beckham willing to give a little ground and flurry back in counter. Posh still has good hand speed and still has those dancer's feet. Able to get in good position to get off."

McCarthy: "Stewart's got an advantage in weight of shot, though. Kristen has fourteen wins and eleven of those are knockouts. She's got a lot of power for this division."

Tess: "Kind of like you at bantam, Mac..."

McCarthy: "EXACTLY."

O'Dell: "Kristen keeps the pressure on. Fighting lead. Sticking that left home and working the right in like a good slider with two strikes. Posh content to counter at this point. Willing to give ground to get space. And that's exactly what she does to the bell. End of the first. Competitive round, but Kristen had the edge."

Tess: "And has the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Into the second and Stewart right back to work. Using that long left hand to good effect."

McCarthy: "Stewart is a tall flyweight. A full 5'6". She usually has a reach advantage and she's learned how to use it."

O'Dell: "Kristen finding the range with the left, now going body with the right hand. Posh giving ground. Countering in spots."

Tess: "Stewart's really learning ring generalship, isn't she, Mac?"

McCarthy: "No question. She knows what she wants to do in there and has learned how to dictate those terms. She's getting Posh where she wants her, then scoring. Beckham can only respond when she gets a chance. Stewart's scoring when she WANTS to."

O'Dell: "Kristen very patient. Willing to wait for the openings the left is creating. Willing to use those feet to get to spots. Wastes no time getting off when she does so. Posh taking every opportunity she has to fire back, but there aren't enough of them. There's the bell, and Stewart has her second in a row."

Tess: "20-18 through two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "The third begins like the second ended, with Kristen Stewart establishing control. Stewart using that left hand to move Victoria around the ring, dropping the right or hooking the body with it. Forcing Beckham to cover up and then flurrying."

McCarthy: "And she's succeeding in suppressing Beckham now. Victoria can't get off. She covers up, Stewart moves, flurries again, and forces another cover up."

O'Dell: "Kristen not hurting Beckham, but she's controlling her..."

Tess: "This couldn't BE any different than Beckham/Spears. You never got the sense, for 13 rounds, that Jamie Lynn was in control...even when she won rounds and had the lead. But, it's felt like Kristen's been in control since the opening bell."

O'Dell: "Beckham game, here. Trying to fire back, but Stewart forcing her onto the defensive with another flurry. Just firing artillery barrage after artillery barrage, and they're getting more accurate as she goes. Beckham giving ground, trying to circle. Stewart cuts her off, hooks the ribs with both hands..."

McCarthy: "Stewart is all business. No wasted motion. No E-motion. Just. Cold. Efficient. Effective."

O'Dell: "Effective indeed. There's the bell for the third. A shutout round for Kristen and a nice early cushion."

Tess: "30-27, and it seems like a lot more than that."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "The fourth round now underway and Kristen turning up the heat. Ratcheting the pressure slowly but surely. Pushing forward harder. Landing a SHARP right there..."

McCarthy: "Best punch of the fight from either fighter. That stung Posh."

O'Dell: "Stewart like a chess player. A slow build up of forces. Slowly but surely taking control of this board. Beckham game in retreat, but she IS in retreat. Stewart forcing her into disadvantageous spots, then getting off with hard, clean shots. LEFT HOOK! Beckham wobbled a bit!"

McCarthy: "Victoria clinching. Doesn't trust those legs right now!"

O'Dell: "Referee breaks them. Stewart unhurried. Right back to work. Going body, then working up. Then works her way back down. We've said before how athletic Kristen is, and you can see that in the quick feet, the smooth movement."

McCarthy: "You know what else you see from this kid? Confidence. And that's a missing ingredient for another of Front Street's lights."

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking away in the fourth, and Kristen might as well be having a Sunday morning walk in the park..."

Tess: "Been listening to Daniel Boone, Jenny?"

McCarthy: "Daniel Boone? The guy who 'kilt a bear with an old flintlock'? HE had a song?"

Tess: "No, not THAT..."

O'Dell: "Never mind. We'd be here until morning. There's the bell to end the fourth, and Stewart has her second consecutive shutout round."

Tess: "40-36 Stewart. And, gang, I believe you can mark the 'J-Mac Mixes Up An Eighteenth Century American Frontiersman with a British Singer From The '70s' square on your J-Mac Bingo Cards."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth round underway and K-Stew's little stroll continues. She's right back to work squaring Victoria up and landing the left hand. Beckham forced to give ground as Stewart pressures, cuts off the ring, lines her up, and goes to work."

McCarthy: "It's almost like this kid's gone on cruise control. She's got things working on all cylinders, and she's just rolling down open highway."

O'Dell: "And Beckham doing all she can not to become roadkill, but it's almost all defense right now. Kristen has her almost completely suppressed."

McCarthy: "Not hurting Beckham, but touching her an awful lot, keeping the Brit's guns quiet with sustained shot and clever movement. Really good stuff from K-Stew."

Tess: "We all know the story of the Stewart/Spears rivalry, Mac. And you're of the opinion that it's helped Stewart. How much does something like that drive a fighter?"

McCarthy: "It can be absolutely huge. Competition in your own stable? That push for top position? That other girl nipping at your heels? And, in Stewart's case, it's even more of a spur, because she believes she's separated and that Spears is only still on her heels because she's being favored by management. The key is to USE all that, and I think that's EXACTLY what Kristen's doing."

O'Dell: "She's also making good use of combinations this round. Putting punches together very well. Easy, breezy, down the stretch. Beckham driven back, covering up at the bell. And that's THREE straight shutouts for Stewart."

Tess: "50-45 through five. Getting VERY one sided."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Into the second half of a scheduled ten and Stewart again to work. Beckham again giving ground and looking to counter, again mostly being suppressed..."

McCarthy: "Got to wonder what the end game is for Becks, here. We've seen her before, and she's a competitive girl. I don't believe she's out there just to survive."

O'Dell: "Could be that's about all she can do right now. Stewart is calling the tune and Posh can't seem to...RIGHT HAND, BECKHAM AND DOWN GOES STEWART!"

McCarthy: "There's the end game! Beckham's been holding that slide step in her pocket and she pulled it out at the right moment!"

O'Dell: "Posh to a neutral corner. Stewart already up at four..."

McCarthy: "POUNDED the mat just before getting to her feet. Got just a LITTLE complacent, and Posh made her pay."

O'Dell: "Stewart takes the mandatory and the referee waives Beckham forward, and Posh letting 'em go here. Beckham in seek and destroy mode. Stewart backs into the ropes and covers up, going to try to let this thing blow itself out. Victoria lathering away. Kristen jabbing back a bit, but mainly blocking and covering, not denying Victoria the clean up to the bell!"

McCarthy: "You've got to LOVE Posh! There's no quit in her!"

Tess: "And, believe it or not, after being dominated for five rounds, she's back in the fight! 58-55 through six!"

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "There's the bell for the seventh and Posh right after Stewart, looking to consolidate the gains from last round. Beckham VERY aggressive now. Stewart defensive, guard high, jabbing a bit, but mainly bobbing and covering..."

McCarthy: "Victoria really letting the hands go. Scoring very well right now. Coming forward instead of retreating..."

O'Dell: "AND STEWART ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Beckham stumbles backward and Kristen sends her reeling with a left-right! Posh backed into the ropes and Stewart goes to work!"

McCarthy: "K-Stew putting this little uprising down in no uncertain terms. "

O'Dell: "And she's looking to put an end to this fight as well. No body work at ALL here. Just hammering away upstairs...splits the glove with a straight right...another...left hook buckles Posh's knees...NASTY RIGHT CROSS...Beckham stumbles along the ropes...LEFT HOOK! Beckham's hands dropping...and THAT'S IT! REFEREE JUMPS BETWEEN THEM AND IT'S OVER!"

McCarthy: "Good job by the ref. Posh not able to defend herself."

O'Dell: "Beckham helped to her corner, and your winner by TKO7, 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I've got our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, Kristen, looked like you were in control most of the night..."

Kristen: "I got a little sloppy in the sixth, but, yeah. I knew what I could do when I went in there, and that's what I did, you know?"

Tess: "Speaking of that sixth, you have a history of responding well when someone gets you in trouble. I remember you doing that against Panabaker, among others..."

Kristen: "It's what you HAVE to do! She hits you a good one, you don't mope about it, you hit HER a BETTER one."

Tess: "You said in the pre-fight that you had something to prove tonight. Did you prove it?"

Kristen(shaking her head): "Just like I do Every. Single. Day."
