Allthough Sophie Howard is not a member of PageThrees BBU stable, she's one of the most prominent names to ever grace the pages of The Sun. "Make no mistake about it", she explains to Denise van Outen before the fight, "Together with Michelle Marsh and Lucy Pinder I'm the original Page Three pin-up. Girls like Holly Peers and whoever I saw just few minutes ago are mere impostors. And I'm going international! With all the respect but only someone of my calliber can attract the interests of a juicy looking blonde from Italy!"

Indeed Sophie's rival is Elena Santarelli, a proud member of Latin Union who looked in marvellous form last year, hammering Abbey Clancy and Kate Ford into brutal submissions. But 2013 started very badly for the Italian blonde, she lost to ex-welter champion Sabrina Washington and Denise Lewis in ruthless fashion which left many experts questioning her real skills.

Howard seems to be an easier test though but the buxom brunette promises to keep up with the P3 high standards tonight and despite a brutal loss to Hayley McQueen recently, she rates her chances against Santarelli pretty strong. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Both girls pour into each other seeking early damage and Elena works over the top, snaps the brunette's head back and soon switches on the rack but Howard swings wildly and clips her mouth, splits the mitts and bends the blonde with a sudden rush of venom, counters over the top herself and throws a quick uppercut on the jaw with Elena's feet too slow to react. More slugging from the brunette who pounds away at the body and pins the blonde on the back foot. Santarelli keeps it mid-range, looks for more success on the chest but Sophie's wayward swings prevent her from closing in untl the final minute when the brunette slows down and eats an overhand left followed by a quick straight jab on the mouth as Elena piles on with more jabs on the body but Howard clinches her before the bell.

Round 2:
Elena with a quick charge off her stool, dekes under a left hook from Howard, slices her on the chest but eats on overhand right on the nose as Sophie throws a jabbing combo on the face and snaps the blonde's head back. Elena's footwork lets her down again as she's unable to break free and takes more facial punishment with the English girl pummelling confidently at her and snapping her head back and forth until a straight jab on the nose busts Santarelli's nostrils and causes a small bleeding. Howard leans on the blonde, helped on by her massive cleavage and outworks a visibly stunned Elena in close range, peppers her rack and flicks another uppercut on the jaw as Santarelli sags on her knees. More venom from Howard who pounds at the ribs and blocks a single hand response, slams Elena on the liver area and pushes her to the ropes where she continues to hammer her midriff for remainder of the round and screams out in delight at the bell with the Italian model just unable to threaten her whatsoever.

Round 3:
Elena leaps after the brunette but misses an early hook, eats a low jab on the tummy and Sophie goes for the chest, uppercuts the blonde's assets, beats her with and overhand right and clips the nose.. more bleeding on hand as Santarelli covers up and scowls in discomfort but Sophie hammers her rack and pushes back to the ropes again. Elena sways on her feet, eats more overhand jabs and looks really concerned by the state of her nose as the English girls effectively pushes her own gloves against her face. High-tempo jabbing from the brunette as the Italian blonde keeps the high guard, but leaves herself exposed on the bottom and Sophie switches targets, pounds the ribcage and sinks her rival on her knees. More yelps of pain from the proud blonde; she seeks a clinch, gets whacked around the elbows instead; tries to throw some shots from behind the guard but Howard slams a double combo against her chest and leaves gasping for air at the bell.

Round 4:
Latin Union's camp continues to work on the nose wound but Sophie gives Elena more misery from the bell as she straight jabs between the mitts, skips under a high hooking effort and whacks the blonde on the jaw with a left hook, follows up with a right overhand on the nose... Blood gushes from Santarelli's nostrils, but more importantly she wobbles back towards the ropes, leans back and can't escape a right hook slamming her on the temple.... BLONDE GIRL DOWN ON HER KNEES... Huge shot from the brunette sends the bleeding Italian on the canvas and bending against it as Howard kicks out at her and earns an angry lecture from the referee... Elena scrambles back upright at seven, blood now covering the lower part of her face but it's fight on and Sophie just lays straight jabs between the arms and snaps her head back.. Santarelli's arms drop low and she gets whacked with more uppercuts on the chin, just sinks back on her knees and Howard whips more leather on the head, rocks the aching blonde on her feet and the crowd roars in delight... Punchbag treatment for the proud blonde as the brunette pounds her into a bloody mess along the ropes but fails to send down for the second time and the bell saves Santarelli from more misery... Hold on... Elena takes a couple of steps and crumbles on her knees in the middle of the ring, spits out her mouthpiece and the drama boils over the top ... Latin Union corner THROWS IN THE TOWEL!!! It's all over!!! Sophie battered their blonde's finest into a TKO daze and the medics attend Elena's roughed up nose already as the aching girl is brought onto her feet and escorted to her corner. TKO R4 Sophie Howard!!!

Post-fight:
Sensational victory for the English P3 stalwart who pounds the glove against her stacked chest and indicates she absolutely demolished Elena Santarelli in quite brutal and bloody fashion. The Italian obviously hasn't recovered from the beatings she took against Washington & Lewis and Howard just caught her in the right time and made the most of this opportunity. In fact she wants to humiliate the battered blonde with a proper breast smother but Elena's in no shape to be played around with and the security crew drags the brunette away straight back to Denise van Outen: "Did you see that, van Outen? I simply pounded that blonde's ass... jugs.. and much more! I totally wrecked that girl! Ain't that great?" Regular readers of The Sun wouldn't disagree for sure...

With four undercard bouts of The Gauntlet completed, the buxom glamour models remain undefeated but the toughest challenge lies ahead. Nicola McLean hopes to become the first member of her stable wearing a champions' belt but she'll have to take it away from one of the most fearsome women ever to enter a BBU ring, Erika Heynatz. The O2 Arena buzzes in anticipation...
