The action in the Manchester Velodrome gets underway with couple of least successful girls on the card taking stage first. Isla Fisher is yet to win in BBU competition; she duked it out against the Sugababes members earlier, was literally wrecked on her feet by Heidi Range but then went the distance with the highly touted Jade Ewen. Meanwhile Georgie Thompson broke her lacklustre streak by beating Louise Redknapp last November but has since then been demolished by Kara Tointon raising up more questions about her imminient future. Another loss tonight and Thompson might be benched for a long time but Charlie Webster thinks the fellow reporter can dispatch the Aussie actress anyway

Round 1:
Georgie rips into Isla much to the crowd's delight and hammers her ribs early, bounces off the rack and drives hard with an uppercut on the chin as Fisher gets caught napping and tries to jump away from close range. Not quick enough though as Thompson slams a cross-hook across her face, splits the mitts and pummels the nose with a straight jabbing combo. Fisher winces in pain, misses some wild hooks, catches only the arms and gets nailed with another uppercut on the jaw that staggers her on the spot and allows Georgie to snap her head back repeatedly with an unanswered series of punches. Crowd is treated with a ruthless execution from the TV presenter and Isla's knees buckle, she eats another uppercut on the chin and a left hook on the eye SENDS HER CRASHING ONTO THE SIDE!!! Wild scenes in the audience as Georgie raises both her arms in the air... but Isla's not done yet. She gets up at seven, her face already matching the hair color and she nods back to the referee, but Georgir rips into her straight after the command, pummels the rack again and pushes a hapless looking Aussie onto the ropes where she keeps slamming jabs against her ribs. Fisher winces in pain and tries to force a clinch, eats an overhand on the eye and sags back on her knees with Georgie ripping into her midsection for remainder of the round and having to be dragged away by the ref. Huge first round for the seemingly lacklustre blonde girl and the crowd love it!

Round 2:
Thompson storms out of her stool and seeks more damage but a bruised Fisher anticipates the attack and dekes to the side, shows some nifty footwork and while she doesn't engage in a wild punchfest, she forces her rival into fruitless action instead. Georgie can't close her down and finish the job off, crowd begins to whistle but Isla sticks to her plan, avoids the leather during the opening minute and as Thompson decided to save some energy and lowers her guard, Fisher jumps at her and nails on the temple with a left hook, follows up with a right on the chest and has the blonde backing away. Thompson's guard is slow to raise and Isla slams a jab onto her chin, whips more shots around the elbows and bends the presenter forward, clubs her over the top and catches on the temple again. Georgie's stunned but pummels through the arms in response, rocks the redhead's chest but a swift left overhand catches her on the eye and gives a nasty shiner as Isla's golden gloves work in overtime and crash off Thompson's stomach thereafter. It's Georgie's turn to moan in pain and Isla cross-hooks her guard late on, bounces off the chin and pushes her to the ropes but the bell halts the action and Fisher shakes her glove at the blonde indicating she's really far from being done here.

Round 3:
Georgie leaps after her opponent and Isla responds, ducks under a right hook and buries a right hand on the blonde's chest, whips a left overhand on the temple and Thompson's nailed clean with that one. Isla swings the blonde ponytail back and forth with more straight jabs as Georgie wilts under a quick execution in the middle of the ring. Hands down, blonde girl struggling for some footwork and Isla catches her on the chin with a left uppercut, sends a right on the mouth AND THOMPSON CRASHES DOWN ONTO HER KNEES.... Big turnaround in Manchester with some vicious and accurate display from the redhead. Georgie shrugs off the knockdown at seven, but Isla rips into her after the command and snaps the head back with more venom, gives the blonde further lumps and slams a left hook on the temple, sending Thompson butt-in-ropes. Series of uppercuts between the arms relieve the presenter of more resistance and Isla sinks her onto her knees, whips a series on the ribcage and thrives on the blonde's groans, ups the intensity and hammers the ribs with open disdain now with Georgie trapped and unable to react. Fisher just lays it into her opponent and the crowd smell blood too, impressed with the sudden shift of power and after numerous whacks on the midsection Georgie just can't take it anymore and SLIDES ONTO HER KNEES AGAIN... this time in visible discomfort. She wraps both arms around her waist and bends down against the canvas as Isla watches on and awaits the referee's take. A slow count finally gets started and Thompson launches herself upright with the help of the ropes at eight.. surely that's enough to call it a day? Nope, ref allows it to continue but Georgie is a mess now, just stranded along the ropes and Fisher slams a left hook on the cheek, sends a right on the chin and buries a low hand on the navel with Thompson's head dropping quickly between her shoulders. Another left hook sways the ponytail for the final time and as the blonde's arms go numb, ref finally realizes this is going nowhere and drags the redhead away from her battered opponent... TKO R3 Isla Fisher!!!

Post-fight:
That was a proper flyweight bash to open the action and surely Isla Fisher showed some real evil coming back from an early knockdown. Georgie Thompson looked impressive when not getting punched and perhaps could have finished the Aussie in the first round already but she missed her chance and took heavy punishment thereafter with Isla showing her no mercy whatsoever and almost breaking her ribs with some ruthless body attack in the third.

Georgie still looks somewhat dazed as Isla grabs her by the arm and gives the Walk of Shame around the Manchester Velodrome with the crowd cheering the redhead on as Thompson's career is firmly on the rocks now and Denise van Outen makes the first mark against Charlie Webster's predictions: "Wrong call there, Webster. Georgie is anything but durable and once someone punches her repeatedly in quick succession, she just crumbles and gets the stuffing beaten out of her. Isla Fisher gave you the prime example how it works. That saves Isla's career for the time being but poor Georgie just sinks further down the gutter. And she's fought Redknapp already! I have no idea what's next up for her..."
